Standing Awash In Tears

Rate this book
War and loss will eventually wear down the strongest of Men... even Nick Angriff. But if Angriff is anything, it's resilient.
And vengeful.
The flames of war have begun to spread over more of the once-dead United States, from Hawaii to points east, and Angriff finds himself as the Supreme Commander of forces spread farther and wider than he could ever have imagined. Before he can worry about liberating new areas, he first must settle old scores. And if those in his crosshairs aren't worried... they should be.

Another good read in this series, but...

Let me get this said upfront. This is one of the worst edited books I've seen by one of the mainstream Kindle unlimited authors. I don't know if his editing team changed, but there are numerous instances of misspelled words, syntax errors (repeated words, wrong tense) and other errors which challenged me to continue, which I'm glad I did. But I'd honestly prefer a later release and far fewer editing errors.

Otherwise... An engaging read, forwarding the story, engaging old friends (and enemies.). I do want to continue, because I can hope and pray the story will continue to put paid to the bad, reward those striving to do the right thing, and still making you want to turn the pages (even if they are digital) to see what new twists Webb brings into play.

I look forward to the next book. I like the many quotes littering the front of chapters, and only wish my own mind was such that I had the same level of recall on items I've read and noted over the years.

Please. Continue writing stories in this world.

Great book, great series.

I’m totally hooked, and enjoying one of the best SF series I’ve ever read. But…… You knew there was a but coming, right? The book has a fairly serious typo, on average, every five pages. Sometimes multiples on a single page, something that simply didn’t happen in the preceding seven books. I suspect there’s a software glitch somewhere that’s unique to this book. Anyway, kudos as usual from an old Marine. The complete realism is much appreciated. But that glitch has to be tweaked before this book gets into physical print.

Great book but...

Whomever proofread this book needs to actually READ the manuscript! It looks like spell check was used, no typos, but dozens of sentences with the words not in correct order which breaks the spell being cast. Like waist instead of waste. It really takes away from a great book. This comment is under my wife's account but I am the one actually reading it. If you have questions you can reach me at bobdaman6 at outlook dot com

The game is afoot

Most of the book comes off a bunch on individual interlude stories of events being effect by the return of the U.S. Military. It’s only around the 70 percent that all the events become grounded to set the stage for the big battles has all the enemies start to move against the seventh Calvary.

Great stuff!

The Last Brigade books are a force of there own! The world is epic and vast in this series. I slow my reading down to make the book last longer, knowing I have to wait a year for the next one. Great stuff, great read!

Good read

I had been waiting for this book to come out. It was worth the wait. I have enjoyed this story line. Read through the story too quickly. Now to wait again.

This series continues to deliver nicely. The characters continue to evolve and develop in response to the expansion. This series is approaching 1932 in terms of its scope, complexity, and ability to sustain interest.
Enemies abound, but the 7th Calvary soldiers on. New resources are discovered at sea, underground, and in the air. They will be needed as the general moves forward in his plan to restore humanity to the planet.
