The Widower Takes a Wife is Miller's sixth and final book in the Seven Amish Sisters series. I'm sad to see it end! This story focuses on Eleanor Koffman and Jon Coblenz. Jon and Ellie have been childhood friends, even before Jon's late wife, Sarah, entered the picture. After Sarah dies from complications from her diabetes, will Ellie and Jon continue to be friends, or could their relationship develop into something more?
If you've read other books in this series, you'll definitely want to read this one!
Healing from the loss of his wife, Sarah, has been difficult for Jon, just as the loss of her best friend has been difficult for Ellie. Working side-by-side since Sarah's passing has helped Jon and Ellie's friendship. But when a message is received, all begins to change. Although the change comes with some ups and downs, the result is a story of faith, forgiveness, overcoming, and love.
4.5 Stars. I really enjoyed The Widower Takes A Wife by Emma Miller. I thought the storyline was very plausible for an Amish book. I liked how everyone around Ellie and Jon could see their feelings for each other before they could. Ellie had to work through her insecurities and lack of confidence which hindered their relationship. I also thought Jon's cousin Bethany was a good addition to the story. If you like inspirational Amish romance, I highly recommend this book.
