Mating to the dream of whole university girls’ turned out to be the worst thing that ever happened in my life…
I was used to being isolated and rejected by human society. But things turned out to be worse when transferred to a new werewolf university. Denial from my classmates, continuous bullies, and insults, but nothing could compare to the rejection from Tyle. Since he was my fated mate.
Struggled with trouble and plantations from Tyle’s admirer, however, he was the seldom who believed me and helped me. And his kiss, burning me into ashes. Falling for the impossible one, the best thing I could do for him was Leaving. I just want to say goodbye in our graduation party, while somehow the last toast was drugged, and I got far more than a kiss.
Facing Tyle’s disappointed face, I realized there must be a terrible plot, just like my father’s message hinted. But it was too late. Wait, maybe the ‘mistake’ of that night was the only hope...
This book was kind of a hot-ass mess. The author tries to cram WAAAAAAY too much plot into a relatively short book, and the editing errors were difficult to push through. Ultimately, though, the issue lies with the main couple. I didn’t feel any chemistry or connection between them at all. The FMC fell in love with the MMC for no apparent reason, continued to love him after he treated her like shit, and forgave him in the end…even though he didn’t really ask for forgiveness? And the amount of time that the main couple actually spends together has to be like less than a quarter of the book. I can forgive a lot of whacky-ass nonsense and bad editing if the love story is good, but this one just wasn’t.
Falling For My Alpha Mate Jasmin Fox Stars:🌟🌟 Spice: 🌶️ Time to read: 3 hours HEA My review may contain spoilers!!!!! Read Trigger Warnings!!!!
Tropes/Genres/tags: Fated mates Enemies to l0vers Secret baby Accidental pregnancy Rejected mates Second chance romance
I wasn’t a fan of this particular book. The story line was okay but the execution needs work. Tyler jumps from hating his mate to five years later he finds out she had his baby and he never really hated her. There was no real groveling, no real falling in love, no real romance to this book. Jasmin has written better stories before.
This book started off promising and then fell absolutely flat. Thus I was left overall disappointed.
Melody and Tyler are two students who end up meeting while in college and find out that they are fated mates. Melody who has lived her life as a shifter with her foster dad, is excited when she's able to attend a college with a large shifter population and meet her fated mate, Tyler. Tyler on the other hand has grown up within the shifter community all his life and is the touted to be the future Alpha. When he meets Melody, his feelings are the exact opposite of hers. They are filled with hate and disgust for Melody is the daughter of his parents' murderer. Instantly, he wants nothing to do with her.
Throughout majority of the story, we see it play out through Melody's POV. She is constantly rejected and bullied by Tyler and his friends. Eventually she has had enough and leaves-albeit not willingly.
Fast forward to five years and things have changed. Tyler is allegedly not the same jerk anymore and Melody is not the same naive girl either. However there is more at stake that must be handled if the two ever want to live their lives how they deem fit and safely.
As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to love it but there were so many moments within the book that I was frustrated with the FMC-which does not happen often for me. I was frustrated more with her than I was MMC. Melody while book smart just did not seem to have common sense and constantly got herself in situations that could have been prevented or at least handled differently if she thought things through. She led more with emotions than with common sense which is not smart as you will find out within the book. This led to me almost not finishing the book.
Tyler did not grovel enough for me. He would have to be eating poo until the rooster crowed before I would forgive him. It seemed as if their reunion and such was super rushed and not even properly explained. I get why but it was super frustrating to read what happens and have this portion to be rushed and barely explained.
All in all, this book was not what I had expected and left me more feeling as if I was finishing it out an obligation to finish vs wanting to actually finish it because it captured my attention and made me want to turn pages to find out what happens next.

Melody is a wolf shifter that has never felt like she belonged and always wanted to be accepted. Her mother died when she was young, and her father left her with a human friend to raise as he went on the run from being accused of murder. Alex stepped in as foster dad for Melody, but his job requires them to constantly move around which doesn’t help Melody feel settled. Moving again is the last thing she wants but finding out she gets to attend a university that is mostly Lycan is a dream come true for Melody until she steps foot on campus and realizes her fathers “crimes” are following her and her dream school becomes a nightmare with loneliness, mean girls and rejection from her fated mate Tyler.
Tyler notices Melody the moment she steps foot in class and his wolf is only too eager to get to know hers but as the potential future alpha he has to tread carefully but also automatically wants to hate Melody since it was her dad that killed his parents. Tyler stands by and watches Melody get bullied by mean girl Amber and the rest of his pack but secretly tries to keep her safe since she is his mate after all he doesn’t want her hurt.
This story had me cry at a couple points as I really felt for Melody while she struggled to make friends but also with the way Tyler continued to reject her. The time jump really had the storyline shift as you got Tylers POV which made a lot of things line up more and pieces of the puzzle click into place. Would love to read more!
✩✩✩✰ Yes, this is a rejection story, but the question is who is rejecting whom and what? There are many types of rejection and as you dig into this story you’ll see them all. Can a fated mate ignore the mate bond? It sure seems like Tyler has no problem doing that. Can a father just disappear from his young daughter’s life? Again, it sure seems that way. Can an Alpha be so greedy that he’d ki11 for power and prestige? Ohhh, just wait till you see what happens.
Can there be a second chance when there never was a true first chance? Tyler and Melody’s trials and tribulations are many. This is a very different enemy to lover storyline, one where lives are one the line, where jealousy alongside greed and foul play battle truth and justice.
Just wait till you see how it all unwinds… 3 1/2 stars
🤔OBSERVATIONS, QUESTIONS❓
✒︎ Why 3 1/2 stars when I liked the book so much? Well, I loved the plot but detested the profanity. It was not needed and instead of adding to the storyline, it detracted.
✒︎ I wanted to ‘see’ Valentine’s downfall, ‘see’ his face when he realizes he played for the wrong team. Same with Amber.
✒︎ What happened to ‘Finley’ … the scars, the burned flesh? How and why? Also, how did he get to work at the lab. How long had he worked there?
✒︎ Admired Alex. He stepped up to the plate when necessary. Also liked Kirk.

Melody Kelling, a wolf shifter, has lived her life with Alex, a human who was friends with her dad. When he has to move due to work he pulls her out of college to move with him but gets her into another college nearby which is mostly shifters, and the one her dad had gone to. Having felt rejected most of her life she's keen to mix with other shifters but on her first day finds herself pushed away again as the pack believe that her dad had killed the previous Alpha. She tries to ignore the bullying but feels it most from one, Tyler, who she senses is her Mate.
Tyler had always been told that Julian Kelling had killed his parents so when he sees a new girl enter the class and his wolf goes mad he doesn't understood why as she is Julian's daughter. Despite his wolf he rejects and pushes her away, though he can't stop how he feels. But after a college ball she leaves and five years later Tyler finds himself investigating missing female pack members, as well as feeling a close connection to one of the children in the class he teaches.
An action packed shifter romance; full of drama, action, captivity, friendship and love, with some great twists along the way.

Book was OK. I love romance and anything to do with shifters. This book, however, borderline on cliché. 1. A girl that’s picked on 2. A mate who rejects her. 3. Girl gets mate in the end, she forgave him for his mistakes because it was in the name of protecting her
Can I roll my eyes anymore?
My biggest annoyances with the story was some of the options the author made.
1.For example, why was the future alpha a teacher? A teacher of preschool children no less. That makes no sense. If he’s supposed to be a future alpha, shouldn’t he be training and working in that capacity? I thought that was a poor choice. 2. Why did Eloise continue to allow Theo to attend the same school as his father, knowing the risk? I feel that if she was truly protective of Theo, she would have taken measures to prevent them from interacting. If it were me, I would have sent them to another school. 3. Why does our heroine forgive her mate so easily? Even though she was told it was for her protection, I found her ability to forgive him almost unforgivable in and of itself. I’m sorry, but he should have suffered. She should have walked away at least for a little while. 4. It was outlined that our heroine was a boxer. Why not showcasing her winning fights if that’s the case? Why point that out to the reader, if nothing is gonna come of it. That was also a letdown.
Hang on you put it down till the last page has been turned. Melody hasn’t had a great life even though she isn’t like by most due to her father’s reputation of being a murder she still continue to give others the benefit of doubt, living with her father’s friend often picking up moving not really giving her time to settle and yet again she is informed they are moving again she doesn’t want to but he agrees to allow her to attend the university with other’s like her hopefully this will end a little different. But she learns people will never look past her father’s reputation thus gaining any types of friends is a challenge. Thinking that her mate will love her just as she it, but unfortunately that isn’t the case especially being paired with the most popular boy in school. Tyler sexy as all get out but not a nice man upon learning that he has been paired with the daughter of a murder he doesn’t accept or like it and make sure she knows it, feels his hate daily making her life harder than it has already been but will Melody ever find acceptance, is Tyler’s hate misplaced, will he see the error of his ways, will she find out the true story about her father’s disappearance, and can she find something more than the dislike from others?
Melody is living with Alex, her father's friend. Her father disappeared after being accused of being a murderer. Alex has just informed Mel that they will be moving again...a frequent occurrence. She really doesn't want to move again but changes her mind when Alex tells her she will be able to attend Ulcombe University, a college where most of the student are Lycan, like her! She is hoping to finally be accepted. Things, of course, don't go as planned. She still isn't accepted, but this time, because her father is viewed as a murderer.
Things get even more complicated...and miserable...when she runs into her fated mate. Tyler Hamilton is the school "darling" who can't do anything wrong. Sadly, he hates Mel at first sight and makes sure she knows it.
Will Melody ever find acceptance? Why does Tyler hate her? Will she find out the true story about her father? Read this book to find out the entire story. A book that will keep you hooked until the last page with drama, suspense, lies, mystery, and revelations.
Melody who is a wolf shifter lives with Alex, a human friend of her father Julian. Julian was part of the New moon Pack, a chemist trying to understand the pheremones related to fated mates. His hope was to design a drug that would help fated mates who had lost their loved ones. But, he fled the pack when he was accused of killing Tyler's parents, Christian and Lyra and was assumed dead.
Alex moves about due to work and Melody enrols in a new shifter friendly campus which she hoped for once she'd be accepted. But once Tyler finds out who she he and his group of friends make life harsh for her. But there is also a twist in the tale.
Can anything come of her attraction to him? Will he reject who she is because of her father's sins? Will Melody survive going after the truth to clear her father's name? Will the strands of truth entwine to give the full picture once and for all?
A good book, dealing with rejection, loss of family, friendship, loyalty and truth.

I had already read this one a few months ago, but neglected to rate and review. Since Ammy decided that I’m not allowed to write reviews anymore, I no longer consistently review what I read. I really should start writing again so that I know why I liked something and why I didn’t.
So in that case, let me say that I found this story to be very interesting. There are enough things going on that justify the length. There’s not quite enough angst in my opinion but your mileage may vary.
I have to say that the parts I really love are about her father and what happened to him. I’d been getting tired of these fated mate males rejecting mates for no good reason. It’s usually something that is actually self centered and there’s little or no consideration for the female’s feelings or circumstances. The secret baby thing just always confirms that my opinion is legitimate.
Well written in technical terms with no real grammatical issues, so this got a fairly strong rating from me. I really liked it…
Engrossed. I’m was fully engrossed in this story. A page turner that had me hooked. Father labeled a murder. Living with foster dad, Alex, Melody Kelling suffers bullying and loneliness. Fated mates. Tyler Hamilton is Alpha-elect. Mysteries of Melody’s missing dad and missing young shifter females. Mean girl Amber Whitmore, current New Moon pack Alpha Donovan’s daughter, gets her just desserts. Happy ending with good versus evil where the good guys win. I like how this story played out. Different in a good way.

Very well written and original plot. Loved that this wasn't a typical rejection story. It was so much more. There is lots of drama and it builds throughout the book till the end.
The characters are all well developed each having good and bad traits. Ok I'm thinking of Tyler mostly for the bad. I felt that if he could protect his son later he should have found a better way to protect his mate in the beginning. That's just my opinion though. The sign of a good writer is that their characters make the reader feel something for them whether good or bad. All of Ms. Fox's characters do that.
I really recommend this book to all who like this genre.
This was hard for me to rate honestly. This is my first time reading this author. I picked this up bc I needed a quick read something different. She has an amazing story line, and strong characters. However, this book really could have been a duet even a trilogy. There was so much messing from the story. It was would start strong and jump weeks, months even years. The time line got super confusing.
Not just that but the two MCs never really get a chance. It does end in a HEA.
I recommend it if you are looking for just something quick.
Such promise but disappointing. The main characters and storyline were really good. The story fell apart because it was too short and no relationship building or getting to experience the love and good parts of the relationship. ~ 10 pages of happiness at the end and that’s it. The reader doesn’t get to be invested in their relationship because the only thing the reader experiences is the bad parts of the relationship not the loving parts. So much potential but not great delivery.

I'm really not sure how to feel about this book. I don't like the fact that Melody continued to pursue Tyler even after he had rejected her bullied her and encouraged his friends to do the same. He claims he did it to protect her. But I don't find that to be a good excuse for what he did.

Great read! I enjoyed it as much as I did Redeemed by My Alpha. I hated Tyler at first because I didn't know he was trying to keep Melody safe. The reader didn't know she had been taken until that chapter in the book. I did somehow know that Theo was her son by Tyler. I loved the outcome. Another great job Jasmine!!!💖💖💖💖💖
I do see why this is getting a little hate, which made me wonder if I should read it. Yes there are some grammatical errors. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot line! The Alpha was pure Alpha energy. Melody is a strong female character who keeps getting back up. There is the overarching plot along with subplots; which made for a great read! I loved all the bread crumbs throughout the book.
Really it is 3.5. I waffled between 3. & 4 stars. This book needs some editing for sure. The storyline had potential but a good editor could have made it better. There were repetitive sentences within the same paragraph and grammatical errors throughout the book. And it was kinda cringy referring to the MMC’s appendage as “it”.
Not for me, the story was over written and quite childish in parts. There was almost a list quality to it with strange phrasing used. The build up of the characters was poor and after 25% I gave up
This book had a strong start, but was ultimately kind of disappointing at the end.
Tyler rejects Melody because her father may have murdered his mother. To get rid of her, he destroys her life. As a parting gift, he impregnates her, then accuses her of drugging him.
That first part of the book was great. Lots of angst and bullying and other drama.
We fast forward five years, and the story falls flat.
Melody has disappeared and Tyler finds out about his secret kid. The reveal is coincidental… Tyler meets Theo at school and feels a connection. By this time, both Melody and her foster father have been missing for two years. No one bothered to report them missing. Tyler didn’t work hard to look for her, even though she lives in the same town and he thought her life might be in danger. But now he’s going to investigate…
That’s after he remembers he knows Tom and Eloise, though he seems to have forgotten that he threatened to destroy their lives too.
Tyler rewrites history: he actually rejected Melody and destroyed her life to protect her from their alpha. He never addresses the fact that he left her vulnerable and she was then tortured for two years by Donovan and his cronies, and Tyler didn’t even notice.
Melody forgives him instantly, so there is no grovel. This all makes perfect sense to her and even becomes a funny story they tell as a family (Weird).
In the end the bad guys all die, except Evil Amber, who is released even though she has repeatedly drugged Tyler, attempted to murder Tom, participated in trafficking women, attempted to murder Melody. Her punishment is the shame of ostracism (the same punishment inflicted on Melody who didn’t commit any crimes).
