Ugh what a waste of reading time. I thought the story was written in a very remedial style. I did not like it and did not make a connection with any of the characters or the supposed dark, snowy, cold resort atmosphere. They were all screwy in their own way.
I did a DNF close to the end because really, I just could not go on.
Loved it! It’s a total page turner and the characters are so real. I get tired of predictable twists, so this one was super refreshing! Super recommend if you’re into thrillers!
This was not a great book. The beginning of the story seemed to drag. The trauma the main character had growing up seemed ODD. Tiger attacking her??? and it went viral and SHE was laughed at by all and mocked??? Makes no sense and then the killer caging a wolf? ODD. The ending pissed me off more than anything for sure. STUPID and abrupt.
I finished it because if I pay anything for the book, I hate to not finish it.
This book pissed me off to be honest. I almost dnfd it but I hate doing that because it makes me feel like a quitter but let me tell you by the time I was done, I wanted all the time I wasted reading it back. The characters are all unlikable but even worse is how dumb the author makes Stephanie look. Like my goodness there’s dumb and then what’s after that. The ending wasn’t even that great. Honestly it wasn’t worth it.
Monsters are real! They come in many forms. This book was a great pager-turner! It kept my interest. The twists were original and shockingly intriguing. Very entertaining! Wow! (Do check the trigger warnings.) I do highly recommend this book as the main character was so well written, as was the overall story line.
It was slow to get started, finally picking up around the middle of the book. There's a lot of background given on the main character before any real action happens. I was scratching my head, wondering how everything could possibly come together. But once it got going, I had to know how it ended. It was a great debut for this author.
Bat shit crazy! in the best way:) Loved it. Deliciously and wickedly twisted and bent. A real page turner. Very atmospheric with a creepy villain. Loved the wrap up! you go Lil Red! I'd love to have a chat with the author, as long as there was a plexiglass barrier between us :)
3.5 ⭐️ - definitely kept my attention but the story line wasn’t my favorite. There was a huge build up to an abrupt ending. I did really enjoy the different characters points of view and jumping back and forth between them. I thought the author did a really nice job writing in the different character’s voices. Generally, I enjoyed the book and I thought it was a good debut for this author!
This plot is unique and is a steady story that leads to the heavy and thick. Do not dnf this one. It heats up at the right times and pulls together nicely. Awesome work.
