I want to start off by saying thank you to Lacy for this opportunity to read her latest book as an ARC. My review is completely my own, I just want to show my support to her amazing work ! 🫶🏻

Wildflowers & Wild Horses is the third and last book in the Curston Ranch Series and brings us back to the 80’s where the journey of Jack and Stacy began (Connor and Tonya’s parents). Their story gives us a new perspective on everything they’ve been through and why they fight hard for their family in the first books. Everything makes sense once you read their story and you fall even more in love with those characters. ❤️‍🔥

Stacy is a straight A student living in Florida with her loving parents. Until one night when a drunk driver took the life of her parents in a car accident. She’s forced to move in with family she never met in a small town in Wyoming where her mother grew up. Except her mother taught her to hate everything about this place and the people in it. When Jack, a bull rider and ranch hand on her uncle’s ranch offers to help her when she arrives, she’s quick to show him what she thinks about being stuck on this ranch and how much she hate their lifestyle. All Stacy wants is to turn 18 to go back to Florida and move on with her life, as far away as possible from this place. 💔

But soon Stacy will learn that Jack is nothing like the cowboys her mother described, he might be a Bull Rider but his dream is to buy a ranch on his own and find a love like his parents had. That’s why he has to win the Bull riding championship. Stacy becomes a dangerous distraction for Jack, one he can’t afford when he’s on the back of a raging bull for eight seconds. But the harder he fights his feeling for her the stronger they get. ❤️‍🩹

Due to dramatic circumstances Stacy will learn that blood doesn’t make someone family, and family doesn’t always have her best interest at heart. When Jack comes back from the rodeo and finds her covered in bruises and living with her best friend’s family, he becomes protective of her and turns his life upside down to make sure it never happens again. ❤️‍🔥

The funny thing about books that take place in the past, is your brain doesn’t care that you already know they have a HEA, my heart was pounding when Stacy was looking for Jack in the snowstorm and I thought they were going to die multiple times in the story, which proves how well the story was written ! 🫶🏻

Wildflowers & Wild Horses by Lacy Chantell is a beautifully crafted prequel that provides a heartfelt exploration of love, healing, and discovering the true meaning of family. This story gives readers an insightful look into the backstory of Jack and Stacy Curston, the parents of Conner from book one, and their journey of overcoming challenges while finding love and purpose.

Stacy’s life is turned upside down when tragedy strikes, and she’s forced to leave her home in Florida for a small town in Wyoming, where she is sent to live with family she’s never known. She finds herself in the most unlikely place—a place her mother hated—but Stacy soon learns that it’s in this new environment that she can start to heal. However, things are not what they seem, and Stacy faces even more heartache and trauma upon her arrival.

Meanwhile, Jack, focused on achieving his dreams, never expected to be distracted by Stacy, but her fiery spirit draws him in. Their relationship slowly grows, showing Stacy that family is not just about blood but about the love and support you find along the way.

Lacy Chantell’s writing shines in this prequel, with a perfect balance of emotional depth and uplifting moments. The pacing feels natural, and the characters are rich and full of life. Stacy’s journey of self-discovery and healing is compelling, and her transformation is beautifully depicted.

Wildflowers & Wild Horses is an emotional and touching story of love, family, and finding your place in the world. It’s a must-read for fans of the series and anyone who enjoys stories about overcoming hardship, discovering family in unexpected places, and the power of forgiveness. Highly recommend!

First off Thank You Lacy for allowing me to be an arc reader for this book!! This series was amazing and so well written 🩷

I made it through the first 2 books in this series so fast and couldn’t wait to learn more about the Curston Ranch and how it became what it was in book 1 & 2!

Wildflowers & Wild Horses takes you back to the 80s and tells you the story of how the Curston Ranch comes to be and the heartbreak, love and hard work that are put into making it the loving home it is from book 1 & 2.

Stacy who is forced to leave the only life she’s ever known to live not only states away but with a family she’s never met and a life her mom told her was nothing but bad news. She learns and grows into an amazingly strong woman who knows exactly what she wants and it’s nothing like what she pictured her life to be and what her mother wanted her life to be.

Jack a ranchers son whose life suddenly takes a turn after the loss of his parents continues the dream of following in his father’s footsteps by becoming a bull rider. He has no one to answer to and no family left so he travels the circuit only to find a strong willed women who changes his life and makes him want more then just traveling the rodeo and being a ranch hand.

Oh gosh,

First of all, I LOVE Lacy’s work. She blows my mind every time.

Reading Wildflowers and Wild Horses, I came in here thinking I already knew Stacy and Jack from books 1 & 2 of Curston Ranch Series. Boy was I wrong. Going into their past and their full love story of strangers to an epic love is just… chefs kiss. The way Stacy GREW into this amazing woman but still held onto her “don’t ever tell me what to do, cause I can do it myself” attitude, LOVED! Jack going from a lonely cowboy and content to finding the missing piece of his puzzle in life and truly know what it feels like to want someone, can’t breathe without her and she eventually returns that feeling.
I also enjoyed reading brief part of Emma Langley which had me thinking considering Jack & Stacy’s age… in The Reason Why, Emma I’m assuming would be Flynn Langley’s grandma. I love that Easter egg and how Lacy has related her books with certain characters.

Lacy Chantell has fast become one of my favourite authors because of her beautifully descriptive story writing abilities, and this book is no exception.
This is the third book in the ‘Curston Ranch’ series, but it’s also a prequel to the series, following Jack and Stacy (Tonya and Connor’s parents).
The world building is incredibly beautiful. You could read this as a stand-alone if you wanted to, and would have no trouble picking up the plot.
The pace flowed well, and I loved the progression from enemies to lovers.
It was great to understand how Jack and Stacey met, and the trials they faced along the way.
Check the TWs for this prior to reading, as there are some themes that could potentially be upsetting for some readers.

Overall, I’d add this one to your TBR. It’s a gorgeous read!
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I literally just finished this book in tears.. happy tears, of course. This book takes place before the first two books, but it's definitely meant to be read last. Stacy was my favorite character in book 1 and 2, so I'm really glad this book happened. Her and Jack are the parents, so you know going into this book that in the end, they're meant to be, but it doesn't mean they have it easy. She was a Florida girl, ripped from her happy life when her parents were killed in a car accident, and she was thrown into ranch life in Wyoming with her uncle, who you don't like immediately. Jack, also an orphan, is a farm hand on this ranch, and he's also a bull rider, following in his dad's footsteps. Stacy was raised to want nothing to do with cowboys or life out west, but Jack is determined to break through those walls.

As painful as their individual stories were, their growth was beautifully written. Stacy having a best friend in Wyoming helped, and I loved putting the pieces together about the coffee shop and Susan. But seeing their hearts and actually reading about their experiences instead of just the advice they gave their kids in the first two books was so special. I love horses, stubborn cowboys, and fierce cowgirls anyway, but this book will definitely always hold a special place in my heart.

For starters, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting this piece of your heart to your ARC team. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to read it.

I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with the Matriarch and Patriarch of Curston Ranch. I was so incredibly wrong. Wildflowers & Wild Horses takes a step back in time to follow everybody's favorite mom and dad as they overcome mountains of their own.

This book is well written, keeps you on your toes, and fully delivers on every single emotion. Even if cowboys aren't your thing, you won't be able to resist Jack Curston. This story has 8 Seconds vibes but I also get a lot of This Is Us Jack Pearson vibes from our Jack. He is definitely swoon worthy!

Young Stacy is everything I thought she would be and so much more. She's fierce and determined and full of love. Even if she's not really sure what to do with the big grief that she's carrying. Following her story of healing and uncovering pieces of her life that she never knew existed was an emotional journey. One that I'm glad I went on.

Lacy's books never fail to heal a little piece of me that I didn't know was broken when I turned the first page.

If you're on the fence at all about the Curston Ranch series, read it! You will not be disappointed.

Let me start off by saying, this book is the 3rd book in the series….but could totally be read as a stand alone. I don’t know why you would tho! The first two books: Wild Heart and Tattered Heartstrings are great!
Stacy and Jack are my favorite by far! I wasn’t sure about this book since it seemed more like a prequel when I was already invested in present day! But boy was I wrong! Jack’s heart is so good and he cares for Stacy in a way that she doesn’t even know she needs! Plus cowboy! Bull rider! Helloooooo! Nothing better than a man in a Stetson!
It’s not all rodeos, sexy moments, and good times. There’s some seriously tough moments in this story but the way our characters overcome those moments makes the journey worth it. Plus at the end….it ties back to the first two books!
Do yourself a favor! Read this series!

This book was a great, well written story about small town country romance.
It had something for everyone,
-family tragedy
-slow burn romance
-found (new) family
And through it all is the fact that sometimes blood family is not always what you need, but it takes life lessons to prove that.
This book tugs at the heartstrings, sometimes in a sad way and sometimes in a good way !!!
I laughed and I cried and at times I got downright angry at some of the so called adults behavior !!!
However it did all in all leave me with a good feel vibe, this would make a great Hallmark movie.

I received this as an ARC ebook and it has been my pleasure to give my honest opinion.

The book was a slow burn and did take me a bit to become interested, but it ended up being am ok read. It’s a prequel to The Curston Ranch Series and set in the 80s/90s timeframe which was kind of a nice change. The MC’s each had tragic pasts and really deserved some happiness in their lives and they found it in each other and the family they created. That said, the story was good overall, but I think some parts were rushed and feelings and character growth happened very quickly, probably too quickly for the significant events that started the story. If you’re looking for a HEA without a complex story or world building this is a great choice.

I received this book as an ARC from the author

This book, in a single word, is everything. It made me cry and laugh and cuss stupid cowboys and buckle bunnies. Every last feel you could have, this book delivered.
Jack and Stacy are amazing. From book 1 to now book 3, they're such amazing and full characters. I'm sad to see them go but I have a feeling, even though rereads aren't really my thing, I may have to revisit the Curston Ranch again.

This is not my typical read (romantasy is my go to), but I support Indie authors and even more so when they're local. I took a shot and am so glad I did. I absolutely loved this book. It is well written and the detail was great. Jack and Stacy are now 1 of my favorite book couples. I've also always been a sucker for cowboys and bull riders going to PBR events when younger. This book took me back. It was an excellent read and well worth the time. Thank you for such a wonderful heartwarming story

Thank you for this arc opportunity!

Stacy has to move from Florida to her uncle and aunts ranch when her parents pass. Stacy was always told not to love or trust cowboys. And she goes by that , until she meets jack . Jack has dreams of following in his father’s footsteps of becoming a bull rider and running his own ranch one day. I love this book and how Stacy and jack both transform in this book .

A perfect addition to the Curston Ranch series, with taking a step back and looking at where the ranch started with Jack and Stacy’s story. A beautiful look at growth and healing and overcoming past trauma. A cast of found family and best friends that you can’t help but love. Sad to see this series end but can’t wait to see what comes next. Can be read as a stand alone.

I FLEW through this book!
It reminds me of a mix of My Life with the Walter Boys, Flicka, and Heartland all wrapped up in one with its own twists.
The book has tragedy and abuse mixed together with some spicy romance between Stacy and Jack. A happy ending for the happy couple.

I loved this book. I normally don’t enjoy slow burn but this was done really well. I have been waiting for Stacy and Jacks since reading Wild Heart. I have loved getting to see all the characters come to be.

Set in the 80’s/90’s you will love it and hate it but it’s so damn good!

This book is a younger ish couple. So know what you’re reading before you dive in. The FMC is still in high school (17) when she meets the MMC. Nothing besides a few stolen kisses happen before she is legal but for some the age is a thing so you have been warned!

As for the story this is a third person reading. It’s not difficult to read, you do need to keep your focus. Jack and Stacey are two people from very tragic pasts. Ironically both very similar. For two people though that can relate to each other very much they both cope VERY differently. And those hurdles are the ones they have the hardest time overcoming…. Mainly Stacey. Jack is on hell of a patient cowboy though! And his nickname, rattlesnake for her is PERFECT.

Stacey wants nothing to do with her new home and the sexy blue eyed cowboy who won’t leave her alone. But with time, patience, and peppermint candies the whole country lifestyle eventually wins her over.

A great hallmark vibe country romance book. It had me in tears many times reading Stacy’s story. So many unfortunate circumstances had me so engaged rooting for a happy ending. Then there’s Jack the bull rider trying to earn enough and win enough money to buy a ranch.

Jack and Stacy’s story seemed so real and I wanted more. I loved how she learns sometimes family isn’t blood it’s the ones who stick up for you and love you.

It’s a great small town country romance book that keeps you on your toes and will take you through all the emotions. Jack is swoon-worthy and one you won’t forget.

I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the Curston Ranch series.

**Title: A Captivating Journey Through Nature and Emotion!**

**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**

"Wildflowers and Wildhorses" by Lacy Chantell is nothing short of a masterpiece! From the very first page, I was transported to a vivid world filled with the beauty of nature and the raw, untamed spirit of the wild. Chantell's lyrical prose paints a stunning tapestry of wildflowers blooming amidst the untamed landscapes, perfectly paralleling the emotions and struggles of the characters.

The depth of the characters is truly remarkable—they feel like old friends by the end of the book. Each one is beautifully developed, with their own unique challenges and triumphs that resonate deeply. Lacy's ability to weave together themes of love, freedom, and self-discovery is done with such grace that it leaves a lasting impact.

Moreover, the descriptions of the wildhorses are breathtaking! Their strength and grace mirror the journey of the protagonist, making the connection between person and nature feel incredibly poignant. I found myself deeply engaged, eager to explore the next twist and turn in the story.

Chantell's storytelling is rich and immersive, making it hard to put the book down. I found myself savoring every word, knowing that I was experiencing something truly special. If you're looking for a book that combines exquisite writing with a powerful emotional journey, then "Wildflowers and Wildhorses" is a must-read. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
