GEISTER DER TIEFE: Horror-Thriller

Jeffrey Hale is no stranger to suburban horror. He's been accosted by goat-human hybrids, chased by inbred wenches, attacked by giant killer bees, and survived countless hours of prime-time television. When he isn't busy fighting for his life, he can be found reading, writing, playing the bass guitar, or otherwise making a damn fool of himself.

There were times of interest and action, but there were a lot of pages to be flipped quickly. There is lots of unnecessary crude language. I don't recommend this book.

Couldn't put it down.......

This book was a real page-turner, as main character, Nicholas Voigt, a refined, mild-mannered college mythology professor becomes embroiled with a group of sociopaths on a quest to find a mythological deep sea monster. The book is well-written, with believable characters and realistic dialogue. The plot slowly builds, as poor, reluctant Nicholas realizes what he has gotten himself into in exchange for a badly-needed, chunk of money. Again, great dialogue, nothing trite, cheesy or written at middle-school level. As I said, I couldn't put it down. Five Stars.

Catchy story- the ending draws you in and has just enough plot twists that you keep reading. The characters are interesting and you feel invested their lives. I can't wait for the next book!

Fun Lovecraft-ish story about a giant sea creature that may or may not be some sort of other worldly being. Had a decent flow. The characters were interesting. A little bit of a lull in the middle. There were a few questions left unanswered, but I'm hoping that there will be a sequel to cover them ( the very end makes it seem like there will definitely be a part 2!).

Toss in splash of prehistoric monster, and throw in a dash of the occult, Nazis and a crazed millionaire and you have a recipe for a fun read.
