A Villain’s Story #10

The End of Justice

Rate this book
Justice reigns, no matter the cost.

Justice Hall’s carefully constructed life as Elmaeder County Sheriff’s Office’s own caped crusader is spiraling out of control. His girlfriend is pregnant with his baby, Justin Black’s insane fan club of serial killer wannabes are threatening to come for him, and the bodies of the criminals he’s killed in the name of justice are piling up on his ranch.

Worst of all? He suspects his boss—the county sheriff—is onto him.

If he can’t restore her faith in him, he’s going to lose everything. His job, his freedom, and the life he so desperately wants with the woman he loves.

Redemption comes in the form of the decaying corpse of a missing young man who was garroted with fishing line, his body tossed near a creek in the middle of nowhere. If Justice can find the killer and play this one by the books instead of taking matters into his own hands, he just might get away with murder.

But can a vigilante killer who’s developed a taste for blood change his ways? And when his darkest secrets are uncovered, how will justice/Justice be served?

Brace yourself for the ultimate question: What is the price of justice?

Is this the End of Justice? As in no more Justice or no more justice in this world?
An eight year old boy having to watch what happened to his family then the abuse he had to deal with in his new life until he was away from his abuser. The life he led afterwards was a means to an end of what he tried to get away from but in essence not really ever left it behind.
So, Justice, what happens from here?
You need to read this series. Not only are you torn between his humanity and his time of desperate attempt to right the injustice he sees. I really love this series with its ups and downs, such a man who could be wonderful and caring one minute then a beast the next minute.
I think you will love this series: A Villains Story. I enjoyed every single book. Mary Stones books always draw me in and make me feel as if I can see each character individually and the life they have to go through.

THE END OF JUSTICE is the tenth installment in Mary Stones series, 'A Villain's Story'. Get ready for another chilling, page turning story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Mary Stone will definitely mesmerize you just as she does with all her stories. If you haven't read any of her thrillers yet, I encourage you to start.

Justice Hall, aka “Tiny Tim “ has been trying to blend in as a normal person, but lately his secret life is in the process of being exposed. Too many criminals, all cases Justice worked, never get arrested, nor are they ever seen again - they just vanish. Now, his boss is asking too many questions and looking at him suspiously. If he is exposed will Heather reject him? Will his unborn child be a monster like daddy? Justice is also working a new case, tracking down another killer. Can he fight the urge to treat the killer like he did his victims or, will he be able to turn the killer over to the justice system?

Thank you Mary, for a fantastic ending to Justice's aka Tiny Tim's monstrous life.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and this is my honest review. This is definitely a must read and a great step into the final phase of Justice’s life.

Mary Stone knows how to entice you, provoke your thought and shake you to the core . With Justice Hall, detective/vigilante, she created unforgettable character, who touched my heart, drove me crazy and made me think hard. In this last book, I was on the edge the whole time, did not want to stop reading and had question how the situation can be realistically resolved. Wow, I’m in awe of Mary’ skills to manipulate and create the complicated situation , which seems lost and final, and then, boom !!!! she switches and twists the story in the high gear, while still torturing the character. I was amazed and believe this was a masterpiece. Just sublime! I will miss Justice, but I know the new exciting character is going to show up. Bravo. Thank you Mary. Excellent writing.

Liam Tanner is kicked out of the car by his girlfriend. He is left in the middle of nowhere without any money or a phone.. When he doesn’t show up anywhere, he is listed as a missing person. Justice and Marissa are assigned to look into his disappearance.
Justice has a date with Heather that night and he continually worries that she will reject him. He really would like to settle in with her and their unborn child.
Meanwhile Eliza, his boss, has been researching Justice his activities and after a brief meet with Justin Black she stops at Justices ranch to confront him….what takes place upsets everything.

Wow, what a surprise ending! This was the last book in the series, and it really meets your expectations. Just when you think you have it figured out, it moves quickly in a different direction.
While Justice is on the trail of another serial killer, his boss it on his trail. She pays a visit to the nefarious Justin Black and comes back more confused than ever by his baffling stories. But she is sure that there is something going on with Justice. She is going to get to the bottom of this and it may not be the answers she wants. Great plot and a complete surprise ending. Well worth the read.

Is it really the end of Justice? Or only Justice as we have come to know & love (?) him? How will the story end? Will there be more to the story? There’s only one way to know for sure…and it starts with Chapter 1, Page 1.

I will read anything Mary Stone writes; she is absolutely one of the most prolific, page-turning writers of this age. Unlike another author that seems to put out a new book with co-authors every other week, Mary continues to put out new storylines with each book. (I’m sorry other author, but yours seem to have gotten repetitive & boring.) in “The End of Justice” she has not disappointed. You will want to keep turning the pages until long after bedtime.

This is an ARC review. Once again Mary Stone and her co author have hit it out of the park. This book has all the suspense and drama as all the other books in the series. Justice Hall is now finding his life spiraling out of control. His girlfriend is pregnant, Eliza, the Sheriff, is suspicious, and Justin Black's fan club is out to get him. Add to that he has a case of two people murdered and he believes the killer has killed before. How will this all end? Will Justice be able to turn over a new leaf or will what he has been doing come out? Will he survive or will is past finally catch up?

The End

The End of Justice is well written and has plenty of drama, action, suspense, murder, twists and turns along with up and down emotional feelings.

A Villain’s Story is the one series out of Mary Stone’s books that I had a hard time reading. Don’t get me wrong, A Villain’s Story is a great series and the majority of readers will love them. I just found this one difficult to love. You will need to read them for yourself and decide whether or not you like or love the books. Please let The End of Justice truly be the end. How is Justice? Read it and find out.

Wow!

I started reading this series out of curiosity. It wasn't until halfway through the second book that I realized I was hooked. I have read these books every chance I could get. When I got to this last one and saw the title I was amazed at how sad I was. I have read several of Mary Stone books and these are my second favorite with the first series being about Autumn Trent. Excellent books. Thank you for giving this obsessive reader something to help ease the rush of daily life. Looking forward to more books.

Just as it seems that Justice is getting his life together, a new killer is loose in the county. Justice & Detective Marissa are trying to track him down. Searching through cold case files, Justice finds similar cases dating back twenty years. Is it the same killer? To top it off, the sheriff is starting to suspect that Justice is more than he seems and is investigating her top detective. How will this end?

Mary Stone can write spellbinding stories! Scripting a series about the enigmatic Justice Hall, part time hero and part time vigilante, can only be done by a very talented author. Justice is such a tortured soul and the author’s writing has captured that essence perfectly! As this story builds to its climax the reader is treated to chills and thrills that only Mary Stone can create. I have totally enjoyed this series and The End of Justice. I think you will too!

A wonderful end to the series!!! Always loved Justices character and his struggles within himself. As he is getting ready to be a father and husband, Justice gets wrapped up in another case that challenges him both professionally and personally. Meanwhile, Eliza, still suspicious of him, continues to put the pieces together. Does she have enough to end his career? Will it end both of theirs? This finale to the series is not to be missed!

Up until last year I wasn't much of a reader ever. Last year I started and I have enjoyed it ever since. It gives me an escape. Had no idea what author I would enjoy. I found this series one day just looking for something interesting. Mary Stone is a fantastic writer and has me hooked. Detective Justice Hall's journey was thrilling, dark, exciting, kept me on the edge of my seat. This series could not have had a better ending Justice finally became his name, legal "Justice"

hook line and sinker

The book, or rather the Kindle, had me captivated from the start. I found it difficult to put down, as the content was so engaging and thought-provoking. The narrative drew me in, and I found myself lost in the world of the story, unable to tear myself away. The book's themes and ideas left a lasting impression, prompting me to reflect deeply on the issues it explored.

Mary Stone is a great storyteller. This book confirms it again since it had me hooked from the beginning to the end. Lots of twists and turns which made it a real fast paced page turner. It also has a shocking ending which I did not see coming. This book will definitely not disappoint. Thank you Mary for the End of Justice.

Spoiler Alert! Dont read if you haven’t read the book!

I loved the characters and the growth we see in Justice. But please don’t make this the last book! We need to know what happens in his life now that he is sheriff. He has Heather and the twins and there are soooo many ways this story could go!

heartbreak and a rebirth

Not what I imagined; in the end, love, so it seems, has conquered all.

Sheriff Eliza Galvan’s conscience nibbles away at her peace of mind….and she undertakes a journey, perilous on many fronts, to either allay or confirm her fears. Her sojourn leads to the iconoclastic conclusion of Vigilante Justice’s saga.

Can't put any book in the series down until finished reading

The characters are believable, and I like seeing the dark side of people as well as the good in a book.
I like the ending but wish it had a little more time after Eliza's death to see Justice's struggles with his dark side .
I look forward to more of Mary Stone's books.

Murderous series

This series is very an excellent read if you like murders, gore ghost,etc...I do and read all of them. Justice is a police officer n victim who kills only the bad guys, helps the victims.
An enjoyable read closely related to another series of FBI agent Winter Black.

What a great b0ok!! This book is the 10th book in the Justice series by Mary Stone. Even though it was a great book, it was also sad. I really hope that Mary can continue to Justice series in some way.

Unexpectedly good ending

So I believe this is the last in the Justice series, tho hopefully I'm wrong. This book is a culmination of a great series. This is not the ending I expected but its better. Thanks for another edge of the seat story Mary.

Good to the last page

The suspense was thick all the way through the book. Even the ending was figuring and unseen by me. It is truly a shame that this was an ending to a series but look forward to ft he next installment by the author.
