Many of us confine fasting only to the holy month of Ramaḍān, when it is required of most of us, or perhaps a few other significant days such as those of Shawwal and Dhul-Hijja. Fasting, whether others around us are doing it or not, is one of the most wholesome paths to tread in search of divine reward and the pleasure of Allah. This is due to the nature of fasting and the good deeds and blessings that it fosters.
This book is a small contribution to the revival of the Sunnah of fasting voluntarily on days outside the month of Ramaḍān, not as an obligation but as a regular part of our lifestyle.

She has certainty stirred in me this yearning to revive the Sunnah of voluntary fasting inshaAllah!
Also I love how this this book was organized into parts and subsections to serve as a reference to look back at. Most of all there was a strong sense of keeping Allah swt at the center of this act and constant reminders of this throughout the book making this book a very spiritually uplifting read!
