Lori Robertson had never been superstitious, yet nestled deep within the heart of the Scottish Highlands, recent peculiar events had left her with a growing sense of doubt. And then, an unwelcome intruder barges into her life, and Lori's meticulously planned engagement to Callum spirals into chaos.

She finds herself adrift in a sea of uncertainty. With her sisters preoccupied with their own tangled affairs and her gran wrapped up in her newfound romance, Lori must confront the storm clouds gathering in her heart.

In this charming Highland tale of love, destiny, and the unexpected, can Lori navigate the treacherous waters of love and family before the ties that bind her to Callum unravel for good?

Being back in the Arlochy series has been great. Lori and the Robertson sisters are lovely characters and in this, the third in the series, all three sisters have lots to think about in their lives.
Each of the sisters is given a voice in this series and in Secrets in the Glen, I loved how we got to see each of them working hard at their relationships and life in the community in the Scottish Highlands. Gran plays an important role again in this story and I loved her wisdom and support to Lori and Tammy in particular.
With themes of love, family and secrets, this is a rollercoaster of emotions, with all three women unsure of where their futures lie.

Revisiting Arlochy and the Robertson family is like wrapping yourself in a comfortable cardigan and cuddling up with your favourite person.
We've seen the three sisters really evolve over the course of the series, and this is no exception. It was brilliant to see Tammi find her way more, Jean is finding her happy, and Lori learned a lot.
I did have to skim read the part with the blackening, I've been terrified of them since I was 3 years old, but I can understand its nice to have our local customs highlighted to an audience that may never have heard of the likes.
It felt a little like an ending, I still see that there could be more to explore with the family, but it has been wrapped up in a way that it could end here, we shall wait and see but I for one would love to dive back into this series later down the line.

Ooh how wonderful it was to be back in Arlochy. I have missed them all, especially Granny.

This is the 3rd book in the series so I won’t tell you too much.

We are following Lori Robertson and her sisters. All sisters have some difficulties going on right now and it’s so lovely to see how they help each other and are always there when needed the most. Granny has a new man in her life and it brings out some emotions but I am so happy she has found someone new to share her life with.

I remember when I read book 2 I was so annoyed over Lori but now I think she made some very good decisions and I wasn’t annoyed at all, at her.. But there were some other people…

I loved that I got to learn some Scottish culture I had never heard about before. I love the strong love between the sisters and their love for their Granny and I love Grannys wisdom.

Every book has given me a warm and cozy feeling. It’s just a wonderful read!

Is there more? I don’t know but I would love to know more and keep visiting Arlochy.

Having read the two previous books I was looking forward to this one.

Lori is planning her wedding to Callum when an unwanted visitor appears and starts to cause friction. Lori feels she is alone with this as her gran has just remarried and her 2 sisters are dealing with their own issues.

I felt the author tackled each of the sisters stories well and felt for all 3 girls as they tackled their problems. It was good to see them continue to grow. It was nice to see them pull together to help one another.

There were some great characters in the book, some who I liked more than others!

The setting was lovely and very descriptive. Being Scottish myself, I was also intrigued by the local wedding tradition as I hadn't heard of this before.

A lovely heartwarming and emotional read which I would definitely recommend.

This is the third book in the series and I can say that it is a story filled with emotions. Happines, eagerness, anger, despair, redemption. All of these describe the characters in the story who struggle to solve the problems they face. Although the series started with Lori as the main character, in this book we see the lives of all the Robertson sisters.
However, the character that spoke to my heart was Tammy. I was very happy that she managed to find herself, fix her relationship with her family and build her happiness. However, all the characters matured in this book and managed to make important decisions about their lives.

💕Overall, it is an easy to read story with short chapters, about realistic characters, full of emotions and excellent descriptions from Arlochy.

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author, who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review…

This is actually book number three from the Arlochy series…

It was lovely to be visiting Arlochy again and i must admit that it felt like i was visiting old friends and i loved it! Also through the authors writing style i could really feel as though i was there immersed in all of the story’s goodness…

This time we are finding out all about Lori and her sisters and it was wonderful to witness the close bond between them all. I absolutely loved Granny and it was wonderful to be reading about her again…

This book was such a heartwarming, loving, emotional read and it definitely left me with a warm and cosy feeling and a very happy heart…..
