Our author has really gotten to our hearts with this thrilling ride of responsibility, respect and intrigue.

This story catches your interest from the first page, a lovely widow who does not want to lose her inheritance and thatof a rake who has had no responsibility in his life.

Caroline Green sets out to make sure she is comfortable with her life after the death of her husband and the man she picks to help her with this problem is the Duke of Strongborn.

Bring on the fire between these two, Caroline who’s sweet and innocent to Luke who cannot understand why he cannot get enough of her.

My iPad went for a walk around my house as this story got to my heart, could not put it down.

The story is extremely sensual, with so much intrigue from Caroline’s exciting life to Lukes trying to find out who wants to kill him

The second book in the series but it’s easily read on its own. I loved both Luke & Caroline he’s happy with his life style until Caroline gets under his skin – I love it when a rake falls hard & fast. Caroline is a strong woman whose backstory isn’t pretty, I loved how she came to love & more importantly trust Luke. An engrossing romance with more than a touch of mystery & intrigue. I devoured it in a sitting

The second story in the Duke Fraternity, another well written story with a very good storyline that held my interest throughout. Lady Caroline Green and Luke the Duke of Strongborn and also the head of the Duke Fraternity known as the Emperor of Fates. There is drama, danger, suspense, twists, turns and romance, Another great story in this series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

We met the Countess Green (Lady Caroline) in Book One of the Duke Fraternity, we also met the Duke of Strongborn (Luke). Caroline on a mission to solve a problem she has and Luke looking to spend a night with a widow, seems they can help each other.

Caroline was a virgin Countess and she desperately needed to get rid of the virgin part of who she was to keep the estate and money her late husband left her. She would not have to marry again! Luke currently the head of the Duke Fraternity is giving a great bit to thought to the fact he needs to do what all Dukes need to do, marry and have a family. Except Luke was pretty sure he would make a terrible father…he hadn’t had a good father…but a Duke does what a Duke has to do.

The problem is the first time Luke and Caroline were together….she ends up with child. Luke has the potential wife and a child coming in 8 months now he needs to win her over.

Caroline is hiding a lot from Luke and as he discovers more of her secrets he vows to always be her protector.

Let’s not forget that The Order of the Righteous is the group headed by Adam and looking to harm not just the men of the Duke Fraternity, but any member of society that they feel are wicked.

With Luke wooing Caroline while keeping her secrets and Adam and his followers causing problems…Luke needs to find a way to deal with Adam and convince Caroline to marry him. Emperor of Fates is a quick moving story. The steam and longing looks (and other things) keep Caroline and Luke moving in the right direction. But there is a twist you never ever suspected and that is when your jaw drops and you realize there had been someone working with Adams group and you had no idea! Loved this story and I can’t wait to see whose up next!

The author beautifully captures the emotional evolution between Luke and Caroline. Luke’s tender and protective nature, coupled with their open communication, was a highlight. It’s refreshing to see a couple who connect and compromise, bypassing the typical lack of communication that can bog down similar stories.

With danger lurking and Caroline’s life on the line, the stakes escalate. Can Luke protect her and win her heart before it’s too late? Their love story, full of intrigue, passion, and suspense, is unforgettable.

This is another wonderful addition to the series, brimming with love, sizzling passion, danger, secrets, and a touch of mystery. I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next.

This second book in The Duke Fraternity Series has another member, the Duke of Strongborn, of the private and debauched group contemplating retiring from the group to do his duty to his dukedom by marrying and producing an heir but first he must meet the challenge of taking a widow to bed and his luck has just been made apparent when he’s introduced to the lovely young widow, Lady Caroline Green. Caroline holds a secret about her first marriage and is very willing to make the acquaintance of the handsome rake. Luke, the Duke of Strongborn, has been the Emperor of the club, leading the way in all sorts of debauchery but Caroline is going to change him in one night and it’s just an absolute delight to watch him fall for her. His protective side will be brought front and center especially when the club’s archenemy Adam makes his presence known once again. Do be warn that domestic violence is spoken of and other violence is displayed. However, the main theme is Luke’s loving care for Caroline while he keeps her protected and safe. I received an advance review copy of this book for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

It was meant to be a one-night affair. Lady Caroline Greens much older husband left her very well-off. The problem is that he never bothered to consummate their marriage. If anyone finds that little secret, she will lose everything. Who better to solve her problem than Luke, Duke of Strongborn, a rake of the first order. Luke is looking for a widow to bed for a challenge in the Duke Fraternity. Their one night together was wonderfully sizzling. I also left behind a little reminder that they had been together. When Luke realizes Caroline carries his child, he becomes super protective and insists they wed. Caroline, who wants her independence, resists. While trying to settle his matrimonial problems, The Order of the Righteous causes more trouble. The danger comes straight for Caroline. This is an exciting story. Caroline is a character of strength and courage. It is fun to watch Luke’s outlook change so completely because of Caroline. Their story includes mystery, suspense, danger, and romance. Although Luke is leaving the Duke Fraternity, he feels compelled to stay involved in the fight against the group of religious zealots. The Duke Fraternity is an entertaining and engaging series. I look forward to Max’s story.

I am finding this series both exciting and entertaining, and was drawn into the plot from the opening pages of the book. Knowing how much she had to lose, I could understand Caroline's need to get rid of the encumbrance that stood between her and a financially secure future. However, she did not take the Duke of Strongborn into account when he recognized her symptoms for what they were nor his possessive stance. With danger looming over them, Strongborn becomes even more protective of her thereby bringing out the worst in those who should have had Caroline's best interests at heart. Fortunately, this romance, a copy of which I received as a gift, comes to a successful and happy conclusion, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

The second book in this series adds to the exciting premise of bad Dukes redeeming themselves.
Luke, the Duke of Strongborn, fulfills a challenge by the Dukes fraternity to bed a widow.
Countess Caroline is that widow and their encounter is exciting despite the hidden fact that she is a virgin.
Action ensues with challenges to their newly formed relationship and the danger that awaits them both by her surprise pregnancy and those opposed to the decadence of the Fraternity.
Luke becomes overprotective as Caroline becomes overwhelmed.
Enjoyed how the love story played out as well as the realistic conversations and compromises.
Easy to become obsessed with the players in the Dukes Fraternity.

This is the 2nd book in a new series called The Duke Fraternity. I enjoyed the first book and I could not wait for this book, and to be honest I was not disappointed. Caroline is a widow, her husband who was much older than her, never consummated their marriage. She feels she needs to rid herself of her virginity to keep her place in society. She decides to pick the Duke of Strongborn to help her do this. There was one little problem with this situation, yes you guessed it, she becomes pregnant. This story was beautifully written, and I just loved their story. I loved Luke, and how he cares and wants to protect who he feels responsible for.

When society puts in unrealistic rules there is only once thing to do... Change them. So Caroline decides to change the rules holding her, but she must be careful not to lose everything in the process. Then Luke comes into her life and one action has long term implications. The chemistry between the two is unbelievable and aah like. Both are well defined and strong characters. This author brings out the knight in shining armour that I love and the independence of our lovely Caroline. Filled with intrigue and drama this series isn't one to miss. From a talented author with immense creativity.

I actually really enjoyed this book. We had a couple of word snafus at the beginning, but no more after that. I didn’t think I was going to like the MMC, but I did. MMC fell first and was high handed, but in a good way. He was a good MMC, learning to listen and compromise. I wanted to know about what happened to the housekeeper. The only problem I have is the continued thing where the MMC thinks to himself that the FMC is “a combination of innocence and sensuality that was the most erotic thing he’d ever seen”. That gives me the ick. Being turned on by “innocence”. Who enjoys this? I feel it’s very fetishizing and infantilizing for women.

This is my 108th book by Tammy Andresen. I have been reading her since 2017. Needless to say, after reading over 100 of her books, y'all know she is a favorite. 😊 Most of her books are quick reads (between 150-180 pgs) but still really good. For being such short reads, she gets pretty good depth in her characters and the storylines. I freaking loved book 1. For some reason, her books lately have seemed so much hotter. Love it!

I loved Caroline and Luke. I loved these characters, their personalities and their chemistry. I loved the story. Sex was super hot! Overall great read.

She Chose the Wrong Duke, or Did She?

Caroline wanted to get rid of her virginity, and she chose the Duke of Strongborn to help her. He was a rogue who belonged to a sinful club. Then, there were consequences to their encounter. Could there be more to the duke than met the eye? Was he the cad everyone thought him to be? For the answers, you must read this delightfully entertaining tale. I recommend it to those who like historical romance with suspense. Figuring out their relationship was not the only obstacle in Caroline and Luke’s path. Deadly danger dogged their footsteps.

Luke, a man who has risen to the top of my all-time favorite male characters. He is kind, considerate, alpha, caring – how many more words can I use to describe this wonderful man. This love story was amazing, sexy, and kind. The love of Luke and Caroline is projected in the way they relate to each other and trust each other.

We do get to the bottom of Adam (he was also in the first book) and now I wonder where the overarching story will go from here.

Captivating

Dear Reader,
I don’t know how Tammy Andersen does it but it’s definitely a captivating series with this latest installment! Her imagination and creativity is astounding. You won’t regret starting this series with book one and continues right into book two. I can hardly wait for the third book to be released. It’s full of romance, passion, mystery and charismatic characters. DO NOT WAIT!!! Sit back and enjoy!

You can’t fight fate………

Another good story in the series that picks up where the last book ended. This was a romance with another Duke who thought he never wanted to marry until he encountered the one woman that changed everything. He fell first and had to convince her of their future. She had been hurt in the past so was reluctant to try again. They got their HEA, but there was still a threat from villains out there to be stopped.

Great book! Caroline and Luke’s story is a non-traditional one, but one that has happened before. The twist lies in the fact that a baby is just what they both wanted but neither was ready. Very sweet! Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Entertaining romance from start to finish and I loved the dynamic between Caroline and Luke. A night of passion that turns into so much more neither expected including a pregnancy and lots of desire. Easy to read, with romance and suspense. The story was a page turner. Caroline’s past has her looking for an easy fix but then is surprised with unwanted attention as a consequence. Her relationship with Luke is unique especially since danger for both of them is just around the corner. Love it. Can’t wait to the read the next one in the series.

I just finished Emperor of Fates by Tammy Anderson, the second book in The Duke Fraternity series, and it was incredible! So much better than the first book—I loved every part of it. The story was amazing, and I’m completely hooked. Five shiny stars! I can’t wait to get my hands on the third book!
