This book was incredibly insightful and comforting. There is always such a stigma around disorders and it was very eye opening to have this book make readers feel seen and heard. Even if you are not diagnosed with ADHD you still may have some qualities or contributing attributes to your personality that mirror ADHD. This book helped detect these qualities and lended a helping hand to readers and say "I see you and I understand you". I also recommend this book to anyone who may have a loved one who is diagnosed with ADHD as it may help you understand more of what is going on in their brain and day to day life.

This book is perfect for women diagnosed with ADHD, those who suspect they might have it and anyone with a loved one with ADHD who wants to learn more to support them better! So basically a huge chunk of #bookstagram is a target audience! I only half kid, as with our hyper focus and obsessive tendencies, I think it’s no coincidence that I’ve come across more women with ADHD in this bookish community than any other sphere of my life.

Reasons I absolutely loved this book:

Even though my professional background gave me more insight into ADHD than an average person, I find that there is so much I had no idea about especially when it comes to women and ADHD! Case in point based on what I studied in school, I had no clue that I have ADHD until much later in life because most info we got was about the way it presents in males. Estelle Rose won me over from the very page of this book because my immediate reaction was “So much YES to all of this!” both to the content and her tone. I think I was about half way through the book when I decided I simply have to have Empowered Women with ADHD and promptly ordered it!

Even if you’ve never used a workbook before, I’d highly recommend you give this one a try! Being neuroatypical can feel like so much work so much of the time and this book is a great resource to help us ease some of that burden in a way that makes sense for our brains!

Huge thank you to @rosali for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Although I do not have ADHD, I work with people who do. I wanted to read this book not only to have a better understanding of ADHD but so I could support the people I work with in a more informed way.

This book is well written, easy to understand, and very informative. The author really helped me to understand the difficulties people with ADHD face in their day to day lives. I really like how the book is broken down into sections for reference. I also thought the tasks made sense and had a purpose within each section.

I know this book focuses on women, and there are some key differences highlighted between women and men. However, I feel the book is so much more than that, and some men would probably find some of the tasks useful, too.

I would recommend this book to people with ADHD but also those who try to support them.

With thanks to the author and Rosali Publishing for an advanced reader copy. This is my honest review, which I am leaving voluntarily.

From the very first chapter, it honestly felt like the author was talking to me directly with how I can be in day to day life, as well as in times of stress. It’s so well written, and is written in a way that anyone can understand it. No medical jargon that you need a degree to understand, but full of language and explanations that make you, the reader, think retrospectively on yourself. No patronising vibes, and is full of encouragement in bringing self awareness to the table, and potentially giving the reader the confidence to book a doctor’s appointment to discuss their symptoms if that’s been on their mind for a while. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in ADHD, have it yourself or know someone who does. A real pleasure to read

Empowering ADHD workbook for women - Estelle Rose

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this copy directly from the publisher @rosalipublishing 🤍

Given that I am a licensed therapist and hold a PSYD, I was thrilled to have this opportunity. In addition, I thought it would be a great resource for the women I treat that are diagnosed with ADHD.

Overall, this book was written with kindness and uses digestible information for your average reader. You don’t need to be in the mental health field to grasp this information, and quite frankly, anyone could benefit from the tools it offers. Overall, it was a very easy read!

I will definitely be using it in my practice!

It is always a pleasure to pick up one of Estelle’s books, she has a way of making sure we don’t feel alone with our struggles with ADHD. This workbook was honestly something I was definitely looking forward to as I am constantly trying to find new ways to manage my ADHD and just as the very first book I read by Estelle this one also included little illustrations which helped me stay focused on it. I loved the ticking boxes that were included in this workbook, it helps the reader resonate with the content and the author. I will forever recommend Estelle’s books especially to those women who were diagnosed with ADHD later in life.

The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women
Author Estelle Rose @rosalipublishing
A Neurospicy 🌶️ self help book

I apologize for the past-due review however I enjoyed reading it. If I could sum up the book's essence in one word it would be EYE-opening. I Learned what attention hyperactivity deficit disorder (ADHD) is, what causes it, the symptoms, and how to cope/manage it.
I resonated with this book even though I haven't been diagnosed with ADHD. I initially wanted to read it to support my loved ones or students who have been diagnosed with ADHD, but now I'm beginning to think that I might be undiagnosed myself. This realization was a lightbulb moment for me and helped me understand ADHD better.
I’m a school social worker so I practice yoga, mindfulness, and breathing techniques with my students often, however, I want to start using more positive affirmations in my daily life and incorporating a gratitude list in my bedtime routine.
Some of the symptoms I struggle with, but I’ve realized I put into practice a lot of the different self-care coping skills such as utilizing calendars and to-do lists. I still need to work on not interrupting others and changing topics mid-conversation though due to distractibility. I need to get better at writing down my thoughts/questions so that I don’t forget about what I have to say or ask.
I found the budgeting tips and empowering money chapters very transformative as I am also an impulsive spender. I’ve recently made goals to pay off my bad debt (credit cards), start saving for an emergency fund, and utilize the budgeting sheets included in the resource pack. I’m ahead of the game with already investing when it comes to my 403b plan but would like to get into owning properties.

The author's writing style is relaxed, inclusive, insightful, easy to grasp, and relatable. The book was captivating and easy to follow, and she provided various resources.

The author dives into the topics of neuroscience, treatments, coping skills, nutrition, and effective strategies for managing ADHD symptoms. This book provides hope and solidarity to women who are still seeking understanding and support for their ADHD diagnosis. It can help women navigate the journey of ADHD, discovering growth and potential. I highly recommend picking up this book.

I love a good nonfiction read that can teach you new things, or in this case adapt.
From the very beginning I loved this book. Estelle opens up in the beginning with relating to ADHD symptoms and feelings you might be experiencing and it makes you feel seen.

So with that my back story may help with this review:
I’ve always had anxiety but was able to cope with it until I had Kids! That’s when I started to feel scatter brain, unmotivated, self doubt, imposter syndrome in a sense and my anxiety went out of my control. I realized I may have late onset ADHD and Estelle explains that this does happen in women and the whys to such a late diagnosis. I may have experience ADHD in my past but managed it, but with a serve change in my life I didn’t know where to begin coping again. I’ve been managing my postpartum anxiety with help and my goal is to find new healthy coping skills to manage my symptoms. By managing the anxiety I have noticed symptoms of ADHD that will trigger it! The last few years have been rather enlightening for me.

Estelle explains in both medical and lamen terms, and even has visual graphics, to remember and summarize what is key to manage your ADHD. She explains symptoms you may relate to that you can tick off in the workbook to keep track of. She shows you the tools that are used by doctors to diagnose ADHD. Then my favorite part of this book— the workbook she includes to help your ADHD brain take notes and comprehend. You can download a PDF and follow along as you read! It is a great way to keep track of your own feelings, progress, reflections and your specific needs that can help you gain control of you ADHD.

Estelle states in this book: “the purpose of this workbook is not to make you a more productive member of society. My goal is to encourage you to embrace your uniqueness and forge your own path, treating ADHD as an ally, not an enemy. It's about self-awareness, acceptance, and making ADHD work with us, not against us.”

I highly recommend giving this book and workbook a try if you need help with your symptoms or diagnosis or even if you’re just curious and want to learn something new as I did. Estelle will help you reframe your mindset.

Estelle Rose is officially my ADHD guru! I know I am not the only one that thinks this and I can confidently say that getting to read her books has brought me so much comfort and peace in my adhd journey!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how fabulous the term “neurospicy” is?! As a big reader of romance, may it be contemporary or dark or romantasy, spice is my jam in all its glorious forms. Having a diverse way of calling your brain chemistry is the best thing you can do for yourself. I like to tell people I am neurodivergent, because of my Borderline Personality Disorder, the ADHD & all the other spices that complement that recipe!
I love how she talks to us, I feel heard I feel seen and most of all I feel like all this work I put in is validated. And that my friends is priceless!
If you’re looking to start your own adhd life then you must read this book. If you’re already a million steps into it and you feel like you’re making progress? You should still read this book. Keep it as a journal or a reminder of all the important things you have Yet to do. If you forget about something you’re doing that had you thinking “oh this was amazing, it actually helped”, go back to this manual and be reminded of it.
I have loved that I found out that so many things I started doing on my own because I thought it felt good or seemed like it would, were in this book. I felt valued as a adhd person not a patient. And yes I won’t do everything I know this but I also know that having lists, reminders, boxes I can tick off is comfort. If I’m in doubt, Estelle has got me covered!
The work sheets are insane and so helpful, I need to write things down no matter how tech I am and how much my life is on my phone, I have a journal for every single thing! And I love it!
So thank you Estelle Rose for another help book that will live rent free in my neurospicy brain forever!

I recently read this incredible workbook on ADHD and I think you might find it really enlightening. This book was a game-changer for me, especially since I’ve been trying to understand my own experiences and see if they align with ADHD symptoms.

What really stood out to me was how relatable the author was. From the first chapter, it felt like she was speaking directly to me, articulating thoughts and feelings I’ve had but could never quite put into words. Her personal anecdotes and down-to-earth writing style made complex topics easy to grasp and, more importantly, made me feel understood. It was comforting to see my struggles mirrored in someone else’s story, reassuring me that I'm not alone in this.

The workbook format is fantastic—it’s not just about reading but also about actively engaging with the material. The exercises and prompts are designed to help you reflect on your own experiences, which was invaluable for my self-diagnosis journey. It really helped me connect the dots and see patterns in my behavior that I hadn’t noticed before.

One of the best parts of the book is how it balances practical advice with empathy. It’s not just about identifying symptoms but also about finding strategies to manage them. The author’s tips are realistic and doable, tailored to fit into everyday life, which made them feel all the more attainable.

Overall, I felt a sense of comfort and validation reading this book. If you're looking to understand ADHD better, whether for yourself or someone you care about, I highly recommend it. It's like having a conversation with a friend who truly gets it.

Hope you find it as helpful as I did!

My summary:
The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women starts out with an easy-reading and succinct overview of ADHD and then launches into an easy to follow overview of coping strategies to not only help you survive, but thrive in life.

My thoughts:
The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women is a no-nonsense guide to basics that can help anyone function better in life, with ADHD or not.

The publisher reached out to me and asked if I’d be willing to read this book and leave a review. Although I don’t have ADHD, nor do I have anyone close to me with it, I agreed. I hoped some coping mechanisms or techniques discussed might just be generally helpful in life.

This book is a good reminder that basics matter.
It lays out easy steps to take in every facet of life. Instead of making whole, sweeping lifestyle changes, it recommends manageable ideas to form lasting habits. For example, in the food section, it recommends picking 1-3 of the suggestions to implement instead of the entire list.

I already practice a lot of the recommendations in this book, so although not life-changing in that respect, it does feel validating.

Some great recommendations mentioned in this book, that I personally use daily and that have been nothing short of life-changing for me, are the Balance app and the 5-Minute Journal. I also have read and highly recommend Atomic Habits by James Clear, which would be a great supplement to this book to help put suggestions here into practice.

Overall, I found this book to simply lay out some practical life tips. Although a lot of it is not applicable to me or new information for me, it is still a good reminder of the important basics in life.

I am the mother of an adult child in their 20s with ADHD, and I have long suspected I also have ADHD. I am also a traumatic brain injury survivor and many of the techniques and suggestions Estelle has written about will be vastly helpful in my daily life as well.

The Empowered Women With ADHD Workbook is an easy to follow resource to help those with ADHD, and honestly other neurodivergences. Since the author has ADHD, she understands on a personal level the challenges faced and is able to give the guidance needed without distracting fluff. Estelle has also worked with an artist to include drawings throughout the book, to visually confirm the information in a different way, which can often be used more efficiently by people who are neurodivergent. In fact the entire workbook is written and formatted in such a way that it is accessible for neurodivergent minds.

I also felt that throughout the workbook the message was positive and inclusive. There wasn't a mindset to exclude anyone from reading and learning from the material, even though it is directed to women (ALL women). And instead of a "how to" further mask or change ourselves, Estelle leads us down a path to help make daily life more manageable and fulfilling.

I am extremely impressed with this resource and will be recommending it often. Thank you Estelle for such a wonderful tool to help so many!

I was provided a complimentary copy of this ebook from Rosali Publishing for my honest review.

wow for The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women.

I recently had the pleasure of reading The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women by Estelle Rose, and it was an eye-opening experience as an Advanced Reader Copy and although I have never been formally diagnosed with ADHD, I've long suspected I might have it. This workbook was insightful and deeply engaging, providing me with a wealth of knowledge and practical exercises that resonated on a personal level.

Each chapter offers informative content and actionable strategies tailored specifically for women, making it a unique and valuable resource. The exercises were particularly enlightening, encouraging introspection and fostering a better understanding of my own behaviours and thought patterns. It felt like the author truly understood my struggles and provided tangible solutions to them.

The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women is a must-read for any woman who has ever wondered why life sometimes feels disjointed and why it seems like the pieces of the puzzle never quite fit. It delivers profound insights and practical tools that empower women to navigate their lives with greater confidence and clarity. This book has not only provided me with food for thought but has also ignited a newfound sense of hope and self-acceptance. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed reading this book/ workbook. I have self diagnosed myself with ADHD (I know we aren’t supposed to do that, but I have so many of the attributes and it’s expensive to get diagnosed by a professional) so this book is actually quite a useful tool for me. I like that it broke down into different sections with exercises (I didn’t do any of them but I want to read it again and do them the second time around). There were so many tips and tricks to help get your ADHD “under control” but in easy steps. I loved that there was artwork sprinkled throughout and it was cute artwork. I like there there is access to the workbook and it’s referenced in the book when to use it. The direction that Estelle gave really resonated with me because she knew my habits and how to help mitigate them. And her voice read like a good friend just chatting with you. It was a really fun, educational and useful read.
I would absolutely recommend this to readers looking for more information to help them get through steps with their diagnosis. It gives you some encouragement too that what you’re going through it’s just you, there’s others that have the same difficulties.
Thanks you to Estelle Rose and Rosali Publishing for the copy.

📚 Book Review 📚

When I started reading this book (I generally do not read self help books) I wasn’t sure if I would relate or enjoy it as I don’t have ADHD. I wanted to read it though as I work with children and thought it would give me a greater insight into the condition.

This book is so well written, easy to understand and hugely informative. I feel that I have learned so much about ADHD and how it affects individuals.

The books is constructed in sections and also includes a resource pack to use alongside. The advice on tasks makes perfect sense, is constructive and as it’s written by a woman who was diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, you know that it is sound advice. The book is primarily for women as there is historically less help for women who have been diagnosed, but I think this is helpful for men too. I have learned so much.

I would highly recommend this book for people with ADHD and for the people who are part of their lives. This book removes all stigma and preconceptions enabling people to just be themselves, and be confident to be the individuals they are.

I’d like to thank Rosali Publishing for my ARC in exchange for my honest feedback 😊

While most think of men when they topic of ADHD comes up and medical community sometimes more so than society, this book focuses on women.

I really appreciated the well-rounded approach of sharing the science behind ADHD then delving into different areas of interest that affect women. It’s not a book that has to be read in order, so feel free to jump around to the area you are most curious about or need the most help with.

The key takeaways greatly summarize what your ADHD brain may have skimmed over or already forgotten while the reflection questions really help to give you a start on focusing on the problem and finding a solution that works for you. The imbeded QR code for access to the worksheets and trackers mentioned was a blessing as I typically find myself having to recreate resources I’m told are useful.

I think my favorite part is where I’m asked for commit to a small change or activity. My brain likes small and manageable and these are sprinkled throughout the book.

All in all, this book is a fabulous resource that prioritizes woman with ADHD rather than putting us all in a box marked for men.

A fantastic and yet empowering workbook for self-reflection & action —
A unique yet practical approach to identifying and recognizing if you have ADHD. The author speaks directly but in a friendly tone in each chapter and also provides practical & actionable strategies in addition to takeaways at the end of each chapter. Ooh, and the techniques, exercises & paper tools she provides for your own personal toolkit — so much good!

This workbook is written in a common sense way that makes it easier to understand plus there are illustrations! The illustrations are cartoon-drawn and are well-received by this reader — an image can often convey more than words.

Scientific data is provided in each chapter but in a concise, easy-to-understand manner.
No topic is off-limits. The author addresses it all.

At the end, there's more - apps, books, and additional resources!

Let me kick this review off with the disclaimer that I do not have an official ADHD diagnosis. Do I think that its a potential? Yes. Do I want an official diagnosis? I'm on the fence. And thats where this book starts, with the pros and cons of diagnosis. It felt refreshing to have the reality of it written down and easily understood.

However, as the workbook states changing your out look on life and improving your thinking with some of the tips and tricks can be beneficial regardless of your diagnosis status.

This workbook was really useful and highlighted some areas that I could improve, especially in regards to work. I know I am juggling 10,000 things, but I feel so forgetful it is unreal. I enjoyed the tips to assist in this.

I dont normally read self help books, so I dont have a comparison but as a scientist, I really loved there was references to papers. It really helped me understand the science behind certain therapies and issues that can arise from ADHD. I have already been super nerdy and read a few of the papers too!

The Empowering ADHD Workbook for Women is an excellent tool for those who don’t know where to begin in managing their ADHD, or for those who have lost focus and need to reset. The content includes many different management aspects, including understanding individual needs as related to nutrition, organization, money management, hormones, and all the other things life throws at women.

The author has personal experience with ADHD, and has dedicated her career to helping others manage their ADHD. She writes in a welcoming way, making the reader feel like a friend. She accomplishes delivering content that is valuable while not using complex words and extraneous explanations, making this an easy read that is accessible to all.

For those who need to listen to content to have it stick (like me), if you purchase the ebook, you can then use the Alexa app or your Alexa to read aloud. This is what I did, and it was quite helpful.

Thank you, Rosali Publishing for this ebook copy.

A very interesting book, it can also be used for people who do not have ADHD. Each chapter covers an important topic for the development of the lives of people with ADHD and techniques to handle the various situations that one faces on a daily basis. I highly recommend reading it, it is not complicated to read, it is written in a very simple way and has summaries and drawings to better understand each point mentioned.

I really enjoyed this book/workbook. Here are my thoughts:
1. It is really well written. It flows logically and while it includes scientific terms it explains this in layman's words so there's no need to google words you don't understand 😉
2. It doesn't make me feel bad for having my feelings or thoughts, it stays positive throughout but still makes you reflect on what your feelings or actions are in situations.
3. The graphics throughout the book are great.
4. The downloadable workbook that you can scribble in, take notes, plan ideas ect it's a wonderful idea and definitely helped me keep track of my thoughts (and other things) throughout.
5. Reading it after Estelles other ADHD book makes it all so much easier to understand they back each other up perfectly (but you definitely don't need to read one to read the other)

I 100% recommend giving this a read, even if you don't have ADHD (or aren't a woman) It's a great tool for giving ideas on dealing with symptoms and living with ADHD.

(Well done Estelle, you've smashed another one 👏 🥰)

This is the 3rd Book in Estelle's ADHD series.

I absolutely love that the information and advice Estelle gives us is evidence-based - too many books don't offer this when talking about subjects like these so it's brilliant.

The one thing that I love about the physical book itself is the format... it's simple to look at, easy on the eye and has some lovely illustrations.

There's also no massive, boring chunks of text which is great!

This book in the series focuses on actions a woman can use to help alleviate the day-to-day stresses that can cause ADAD to become worse and to try and empower women to have clarity and focus.

There's even also a GR Code gift!

The tone of the book is friendly and informative and it's just an around great book to read from cover to cover and then dip back in when you need to!

Perfect for women with ADHD and those who have an interest!

This workbook is great for learning to regulate your adhd that works specifically for you. I especially loved the sections that contained reflections to think about your own experience. This book allows you to think critically about how you already think and shows you healthy ways to move forward and implement more organization into your life.

The section on emotional regulation hit home the most for me. I definitely recommend this book for anyone regardless if you have adhd, know someone with adhd, or just want to learn more. The techniques in this book can be beneficial to everyone, but its even better for someone who just needs a boost of encouragement and motivation to get back on track!

I thoroughly enjoyed this workbook. I’m 41 and am just discovering this year that I have nuerospicy tendencies. My daughter was properly diagnosed at 4, as she has showed more obvious signs of adhd and me being an 80’s baby has learned to internalize them, to appear “normal”.

This book has been extremely educational, and I will be going back through it time and time again, and especially making notes along the way.

This book is written in a way that held my focus and allowed me to understand without having to brain myself too hard (if that makes sense). The author did an excellent job with supplying knowledge and I believe confidence in the readers/ADHDers.

Thank you for my advanced copy of this workbook, it’s an amazing tool that I will utilize for many years to come.

As someone with suspected AuDHD, this was pretty eye-opening and full of helpful tips! I'm not much of a non-fiction reader, so I was a little wary reading a 'self-help' book, but I'm glad I did!

Estelle does a great job at making the whole book feel like you're in the middle of a conversation with a friend and doesn't make you feel bad about your deficits. With so many topics being covered, I thought I'd be overwhelmed by all of the information and exercises, but they were so casual and breezy that it didn't feel like I was doing homework.

Whether you have ADD/ADHD/AuDHD, this book is full of so much helpful information, even our neurotypical friends can benefit from this book!

I think I loved this even more than the first book!!

It covers pretty much everything from food, overthinking, finances, love, friends, motherhood...

As well as giving different tips and ideas for managing there is also reflections for you to pause and think/answer exactly what your feelings on the matter are, what you struggle with and what might help you. With the added bonus of cool drawings and summaries, a friendly narrator and the evidence behind it all.

I related to so much of this and found myself making little laughs like ha this is so me! I can see myself checking back into this book a lot when I start to fall back on old habits.

An excellent tool for the workplace

A brilliant resource not only for personal use but for the workplace. This book is succinct easy to use and provides fantastic tools that can be used to support in the classroom with adult learners, as well as in the workplace with colleagues. This book gives insight into ADHD from an emotional point of view.

The illustrations really help to engage with this resource, and extra support information is included at the end of the book.

This book has a firm place in my toolkit, I particularly like the mindfulness approach of this book.

This book will help you understand you are not alone in your ADHD-driven, personal idiosyncrasies, e.g., imposter syndrome and sensory overload. Not only does the book provide some simple coping recommendations, such as adjusting your alarm clock to something less harsh, it also provides deeper guidance on uncovering, challenging, reframing, and letting go of negative beliefs. I recommend this book if you're looking for tools to help you embrace your uniqueness and walk through challenges toward confidence.
