After a string of unfortunate events, Laura finds herself stranded in a mall parking lot after her shift at work with a broken-down car and a broken heart. Still coping with her recent breakup following her ex-boyfriend’s infidelity, she’s now at her wit’s end when her car refuses to start.
That is, until her ex boyfriend’s father, Dustin–a mechanic–happens to pass by and see Laura struggling with her car. And when he offers to help, she can’t pass up the opportunity.
But what starts as a kind gesture quickly sparks into something more as they spend the day together. Unable to fight their growing attraction, things between Laura and Dustin quickly heat up before they’re forced to confront the reality of their situation.

“He fucked up and lost you, and even though I had no intention of finding you, I want you more than I can explain. He’ll either get over it or he won’t, but I’m not going to lose out on someone as amazing as you just for the sake of his feelings.”
"There’s something about a man who can work with his hands, who can build and fix things, that’s entirely too arousing. I seem to be falling apart; maybe he can put me back together again ..."
For 56 pages long, this novella was so full of everything I was looking for. I often feel so much missing from a short story, but this one was so good! I feel like I got plenty of character background, building chemistry, a hot and spicy night, and a resolution that made me smile.
Quick Fix is a tantalizing novella that masterfully combines sizzling chemistry, forbidden romance, and a dash of emotional vulnerability. The story pulls you in immediately, introducing Laura at her lowest—a broken-down car in a mall parking lot following a string of unfortunate events, including her ex-boyfriend’s infidelity. When her ex’s father, Dustin, ( aka daddyyyyyyy) happens to see her struggling, he offers to help….😏
Laura’s vulnerability is palpable, making her quick journey of rediscovery all the more engaging. Dustin, rugged and unapologetically confident, exudes an undeniable allure. The chemistry between them is instant and electric, crackling with tension.
The intimate moments between Laura and Dustin are undeniably 🌶️🌶️🌶️ steamy, with their dynamic heating up to an intensity that leaves no room for hesitation. Dustin’s commanding demeanor, especially when Laura calls him “Sir,” adds a delicious edge to their encounters. The spice is turned up to a perfect ten, making this novella an unforgettable, high-heat read.
The story’s conclusion delivers a deeply satisfying emotional payoff, highlighted by Dustin’s declaration: “He fucked up and lost you, and even though I had no intention of finding you, I want you more than I can explain. He’ll either get over it or he won’t, but I’m not going to lose out on someone as amazing as you just for the sake of his feelings.” This unapologetic claim perfectly captures the essence of the story and left me with a sense of fulfillment.
Bring it all on.. plus we all know I love a ‘ Daddy’ 😮💨
Quick Fix was 56 pages long and was described as a “dad bod” type of book. Readers will get a quick story that is an ex-boyfriend’s dad trope, so expect things to happen quickly. There’s some light b0nd4ge and sp4nking. I liked the short story.
I loved this book. It was a freebie but so worth it. I loved reading about Laura and Dustin. So what starts off as an innocent gesture to help fix her care turns into something more primal. Laura used to date Dustin's son. Who dumped her cause he is a butt munch. Dustin didn't plan on falling for Laura, but when he sees her broke down in a mall parking ot he feels he needs to help her out. It's the least he could do. When she calls him Sir. All bets are off.
For being so short this book was amazing had a decent amount of plot and plenty of spice this is the second book I read from this author and I absolutely love her writing style! 10/10 recommend
I’m not usually into this type of books but this was done very well. There was a plot with the spice. Oh my was the spice amazing. If looking for a good quick spicy read this is one you would love
🥵🥵🥵 that was such a quick, spicy read. I loved Laura’s independent character and Dustin’s mature/understanding character. With short stories/novellas it can be a hit or miss if I feel like I’ve connected with the characters & this one was great!
I gave it 2 stars for pilot content but 3 peppers for spice. This is a super short (56 pages) quick but spicy read. Its got 2 of my favorite tropes.. Ex' dad so, naturally, age gap.. I really wish there'd have been more..
It's typical of me to not feel a short book like this, the way I would if it was a tiny bit longer. It's just shy of being something I would REALLY like.
I love books about blue-collar men, especially mechanics. What is it about a man who is good with his hands? This was spot on with both story and spice.
Yes. All of the yes. I’m terrible at reviews, but this was fantastic. I was bummed it wasn’t a full-length novel. My only critique is that I wish there was more.
