About the author

The author is retired, living near Rochester, NY with his wife. They have one son living in Australia. Four cats and a few ferrets live at home with them where the author writes a blend of lightweight SF & Fantasy leavened with some mystery. Spiced with action, humor and romance, these tales are drawn from a lifetime of memories and wishes.

And a few regrets.

On a lark I picked this up for my wife a few years ago, not realizing that Michael Ryan had been one of her professors at UC Irvine. I was quite impressed by his balance of creative wordplay and clear imagery. He doesn't come off as one of the modern hack poets, stringing together nonsense in the guise of Art. Ryan's musings are profound at times, and I find myself returning to this volume again and again.

Anyone else feel different about his work post "let me tell you about these skeletons in my closet" moment?
