I need to cure the wolves, or my life is forfeit. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to help them.
I’m not the witch my husbands think I am. I’m about as good at magic as I am at flirting, which is pretty darn bad. Still, I’m going to try to save them. Not just because it’s the only way to save myself, but because I want to.
There’s no life for me back home, but maybe, just maybe, if I can show my husbands I’m useful, their lingering touches, and heated looks, will become so much more… maybe their love will even bring me the home I’ve always longed for.
THEIR CURSED WOLVES is a steamy fantasy reverse harem romance with touch-her-and-die vibes, forced proximity, an innocent heroine, and lots of humor.

I am so torn about this series. The wounded bird trope is my favorite trope so the set up for this story is enjoyable. My problem comes from the fact that two books in and the men are even bigger jerks than they started off.
Spoilers ahead:
The final chapters of them selling her off essentially to their other enemy made me so angry. They didn’t care how she felt at all. The fact that they repeatedly said as the men they have the legal right to make choices for her was disgusting. How is that even possible in this world anyways? As a witch she comes from a Matriarchal society. Why would she so easily accept being bossed around by men even if she was used to being treated poorly by everyone? Also they essentially said she has no say in if she wants to consummate the marriages. So are they planning on raping her then? They claim to place their wives and mates above all else, in positions of honor. Women are to be respected, cared for and loved. It sounds like possession and control to me. As much as I love a wounded bird it is hard when there are no moments of light, no wins for the FMC to make the continuous blows to her not be completely depressing. She needed a win in this book and she didn’t get one. Her husbands did nothing, her new “friend” said nothing and wouldn’t meet her eyes. Their inner monologues aren’t even enough to redeem anything because they still never question if she is okay. I thought the new guy would change everything but he only had one thing on his mind. He could tell she was frightened and didn’t want to sleep with him but he said he would do it anyways. I’m just not sure how these guys can redeem themselves at this point. A sorry won’t be good enough for me as a reader but I think that is all it will take for our FMC because she has experienced so little kindness in her life. I fear she will forgive them and move on immediately. I’m hoping for some good groveling and the scene where they eventually see her scars I’m hoping is worth the build up.
Enjoying it to the fullest. Definitely wasn't plot driven, but I don't care anymore. I really like reading about how Tara experiences the world and her magic. Somehow, the series has me. It sucks that the guys are complete jerks (even more than in Book 1) but it made the appearance at the end even more enjoyable for me. Tara should just leave the wolves, they don't deserve her at all. I really REALLY hope Book 3 won't mess the series up, fingers crossed!
I enjoyed book 1, but I had a harder time with this one. The main reason I'm struggling is because there's been very little movement in the plot or relationships. Yes, we know where the illness is coming from now, but throwing another mate in the mix just muddies up the water. Her wolves have mistreated her and ignored her, so no, I don't believe they deserve her. That bedroom scene at the end irritated me though. I mean, why wouldn't the door be locked? Why would the wolf princes interfere when they don't want her. Why would the new hubby go from romantic to acting like she's an object to use? While Tara showed a little backbone, I feel like she still is too submissive. I don't understand why she can't at least use words to stand up for herself. It seems she doesn't realize that the treatment she's received from her coven, and now the wolves, is wrong. Why? She witnessed other people in her coven being treated well, so why wouldn't she know what acceptable treatment is? I have to agree with some of the reviews from the first book about her naivety and extreme innocence. She's a 20 year old young woman. She's been educated. Whether or not she has social interaction with other people or not, she has to know something about the birds and the bees. The extremeness of her "innocence" is pretty unbelievable.
Still, I'm invested in the story line right now. That ending wasn't really unexpected. But her considering doing it is stupid. Why would you want to go back to that horror show? We'll see what happens I guess.
Great so now I hate everyone! Drogo is still the most annoying creature on eart and I don’t know how I’ll ever like him, but the other two almost as bad now. The whole book is just everyone treating Tara like trash.
But Tara is what makes the book great. I really love her.
✨ARC Review✨ I was SO excited to see this sequel hit my inbox and it lived up to all my hopes! I had so much fun while reading this and seeing Tara really come into some confidence while handling the Princes. I once again was astonished by the delicate and beautiful way this paranormal romance handled heavy topics such as diversity/cultural differences, grief, and having burdens of responsibility. Also that cliffhanger had me 😮 and I cannot wait to see where this story goes!
IF IN THE NEXT BOOK TARA DOESN'T SHOOT THE PRINCES AND STAYS WITH GARRICK I'M GOING TO BE SO MAD!!!! This second book was much better and much worse, I enjoyed this book more and Tara is my queen now, but the princes are so fucking disappointing, my enjoyment of this series will depend on their improvement in the third book!!!
GUYS?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿ What the fuck just happened!? I’m truly scared, like… I got disturbed. Those men are shit. Like… shitty shit. Holy balls, man… I never thought misogyny, chauvinism, primitive, and animalistic behavior could be WORSE than physical abuse. I’m simply speechless. They suck. All of them.
Hear me out for a moment: if a person treats you well when you’re alone but acts differently—colder, or doesn’t even acknowledge your presence in public—remember: this is one of the most toxic red flags that could ever exist, and one of the most common too. Ew. The world is big as fuck, go after someone who feels proud to have you by their side, in whatever place and at whatever time.
This whole situation sucks, but the worst part? They are fated mates. ARGH! This pisses me off so much. Like, you’re literally OBLIGATED to have feelings you DON’T want to have, even after being treated like shit. This is horrendous. How the fuck is this romantic? Getting trapped with someone just because??? And having a body that betrays your brain, making you think you NEED to love them just because????? This is literally my worst nightmare. Wtf.
Okay… let’s dive deeper into this whole issue: Those men don’t know what they want, and it gets on (all) my nerves. They’re adults, and more importantly, princes. They’re supposed to lead their people. Protect them. Reassure their future. But in the middle of a fucking PLAGUE, they find time to have a pissing contest over WHO GETS TO GO FIRST INSIDE THEIR WIFE’S VIRGIN VAGINA????? This sounds like a South Park episode or U.S. news. I’m scared. Chapter 24 was one of the most agonizing things I’ve ever read in my entire life. How THE FUCK are those BRATS considered princes when they forget they have functioning brains and instead decide to measure their dicks to see who’s the biggest asshole? It felt so insulting and uncomfortable I… I can’t even find the words to describe how unpleasant all this felt. It was like I was back in High AND Late Medieval Britain. Fucking horrible. They call her a “mistake,” don’t acknowledge her presence, don’t talk to her or treat her like a person, don’t see or think of her as an equal, don’t communicate absolutely ANYTHING regarding her to her, expose and humiliate her using her virginity AGAINST her, and act like she’s a piece of meat on a deserted island. AND THEY STILL GET CONFUSED WHEN SHE THINKS THEY HATE HER??????????????? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I’m SO pissed off, you just CAN’T understand how much.
"You're pretty quiet, most of the time." He gives a half smile. "I have a lot on my mind." 😒 You don’t think enough, though. You should shut your mouth more and try to use that big, thick head of yours a little. Period.
"I think the most disrespectful thing this man could do is to stay silent." Oh please do 😩.
"I'm surprised. We tease Drogo about being grumpy, but he's never been violent." 🙂 wtf—this is criminally unattractive. Forbiddingly unsexy. Shockingly disgusting. It’s just so… so stupid. So caveman. This is truly sad and… filthy, so bad that I got goosebumps. I just feel like killing someone. But unfortunately, none of these someones EVEN EXIST. Fucking hell.
"Typically, shifters value their mate, and their brides, above all else." ?????????? Then those men are just little shitty Therians with a Mormon complex. It all makes sense now! My bad. I should be more respectful and thoughtful toward mental health issues. Especially for people who refuse to seek help. Oopsie! Also, how I hate the word “typically” here. Fuck off! And eat shit.
"I hate this. We all do. But it's what needs to be done for our people and for our future. The king said we have to sacrifice and put our egos aside for the benefit of our pack." Yep, you’re right. But… huh? I’m still waiting for you shitheads to ACTUALLY sacrifice and put your big, fatty egos aside, THOUGH. I’ve NEVER seen it happening. And I could literally CRY if that EVER happens, but I highly doubt it. Yeah. Not a chance. Also, go to hell.
"I hate how beautiful they are, and that they look at me with disappointment so often." "I think I understand now," I say, feeling sad. Prince Drogo may always hate me, and I need to be okay with that. "He can hate me. I don't mind. Maybe it'll make him feel better." "He smiles at me without any hesitation. This one is different. Maybe it's because he talks to me and not at me. Maybe it's because he actually includes me in conversations. Or maybe it's because when he looks at me, it's almost like he's glad to be near me." "[…] this is one of the few times since coming here that I feel like I actually belong. My eyes prick a little. It might be the first time that I've ever felt like I belong... anywhere. And all it took was a little kindness."
This is sad. Completely and utterly unacceptable, heartbreaking sadness. I’m drowning in angst. Just stop. STOP playing and toying with her heart. STOOOOOOOOOOP!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡
"And Tara, our virgin, will refuse him. I'm sure of it. That's one less thing to worry about." 🤡🤠🥴😺 I can’t even put into words how completely DISGUSTED I was after reading this. Just… blargh 🤢. Being a virgin young woman myself, I can’t help but cringe. HARD. This should be a crime, btw. I almost ate my own eyes to stop looking at this shit. Also, Drogo, STFU. You suck.
"I swear, they need to figure out what they want and then tell me." Girl? Literally, same! And like ASAP. Fucking dumbasses. Finish debating between yourselves and your cocks, without involving her, and then notify her. It’s getting me confused as fuck, can’t even imagine being her. Like… not a chance. Ew. Lol. Worst nightmare EVER.
"As our wife, we make these kinds of decisions. You know that." Yeah, yeah, caveman, alright. Now go exchange your dick for a sack of potatoes. BYE.
"I'm determined I'll love her so much that she'll have to love me back. I'll give her no other choice because my children will be born into a marriage of happiness and love. I simply have to keep the faith that I can win her over." 😦 That’s… horrifying. I’m literally shivering from fear. This sounds like the start of a horror movie.
And my conclusion is: Tara, my girl. My baby girl. Put a spell on the water of the fucking world and let everyone die, including yourself. Maybe you’ll get luckier in your next life, because this one SUCKS. ALSO, I noticed this in the first book of the series, but I just remembered while reading this one: this author repeats the same words (like, two times) in the same sentence. It’s not bad, but… it’s kinda unsettling, lol. And I caught two grammatical errors. AND after Tara (FINALLY) found out the origin of the curse, the book took a turn that almost made me think it was written by someone else, or that I was reading a completely different book. Like, really… where the fuck did that come from? It was so sudden and out of nowhere, I felt like I got whiplashed. But okay…? NGL, I rage-binge-read this shit. I truly wish I could say that I regretted it… but I don’t. I’m sorry. This is my new guilty pleasure. Fuck me! Huff!!!
This series is definitely a slow burn. Not a lot happened in this book except Tara coming closer to the guys and having successes in her magic. She finds out that the water is the source of the curse. The water comes from the bear’s territory and they planned to sneak over to destroy the curse, but the next day the bear shifters show up and the prince darkheart claims he wants in on the alliance and to marry Tara as well. The wolves agree not asking Tara, but are now wanting to make their marriage legitimate and consummate it before Garrick(prince darkheart) does. Even though Tara didn’t want to marry him, he was being nice to her and asking questions about herself. Tara opened up to him and agreed to be with him, but the wolves barged in and stopped them. Finally explaining that she was still a virgin and if any should consummate it should be one of them first. Tara now angry at all four of her husbands walks off only to receive a message bubble from her mother saying that she was coming for her and she’d be a hero once it was all done.
Great book! It gave me a bit of anxiety, but it just made me want to read faster. I finished this book in a few hours, I wish it was longer honestly. I had the first book on my TBR pile for a bit and I’m kicking myself I didn’t read it immediately. Although I’m glad I put it off for a bit because the next book doesn’t come out until next month. The female character has a big decision to make, and I don’t think it will lean towards the Witch side. I was curious to see how her wolf princes would put a stop to their consummation. I really feel for the female lead character Tara. She’s married off the moment she’s told, to 3 intimidating wolf shifters (it’s important to note that later on in the first book it was expressed repeatedly in their thoughts that they were all unusually attracted to each other even if they never verbally expressed it) who treat her as badly as her own Witch coven did before her mother sold her off. On the way to the wolfs territory, they pass through a deaths pass, where many many wolf shifters and witches lay decomposing with their swords and whatnot. Tara’s specialty, Metal Magic, starts to build and build and she decides to close her eyes and allow the magic to make what it wants. Turns out, the magic built a structure that honors the lives of the wolves that lost their life there. The guys are amazed but Drogo the hard head refuses to see her and her magic as a gift. They never consummate the marriage BevUse they plan to get an annullment after she breaks the curse that makes shifters sick. Or after the year of their agreement, at which point Drogo would off her himself. Rinan and Arlysl, follow his lead even if they feel it’s wrong. They never tried to get to know her, never once asking her about her home life before all their lives changed with the wedding. The night she reaches Arlysl kingdom his sick king (father explains about how her mom talked her up about how strong of a witch she is could easily cure the Illness curse). It’s then Tara realized how precarious her path will be. Tell them all how crappy of a witch she really is, or to do what is expected of her. Figure out a way to cure the Illness. This book, she slowly learns about the symptoms, how it’s evolved and transmitted. A lot of the time, when there’s no pressure on her to use her magic for some reason, when she does it because she wants too it comes to her easily. I suspect that her mom cast a curse on her, maybe with that fingernail that was ripped out and magically healed, was the focal point. She still feels pain there when it doesn’t look like it was ever damaged. I’m so glad Garrick came along. She needed someone to be on her side and the princely wolves defiently weren’t lined up to make nice with her. Besides Scarlette, and practically any other wolf she met, cubs and cooks, and blacksmiths, the town’s people, they all seemed to enjoy having her in their midst. It was beautiful to see Tara open up and answer questions truthfully. I really really hope Tara doesn’t do what the message said. Despite it not being their choice originally, she still found more happiness there than she ever did with the witches. Damn, I am so sad I have to wait for the next book.
The second book in this series was mainly about Tara finding the cause of Illness. The really really slow burn interaction with her husbands, introduction of the new guy and finally the message from her mom.
To be honest for the disease carrier, I think it was pretty obvious from the start especially with the wisps hint. I get that Tara might be socially deficient with her upbringing, but she had no slight in her education even if unsuccessful and thus should have figured it out much earlier.
As for the guys, I like them obviously or I would not have kept reading this book, but I feel there is too much emphasis on Prince Droggo and being an asshole? Prince Arlys is depicted as the leader of the Trio but does not have much presence to be honest. And Prince Rinan is so indecisive and definitely a follower. So I might question if he really is an alpha wolf if he can not even make basic decisions about his own wife. Because taking in suggestions and following the lead when you agree with them, and just being a basic mindless thug is two totally different things.
In this regard I understand the addition of the new guy, because the author wrote themself into an impasse and needed an external force to move the interaction along. To be honest I also love a good jealousy and regret plot. But please stop writing the guy as bipolar and braindead when it is inconvenient. Especially at the last scene.
As for the message from her mother, I am literally speechless. Disregarding the fact, that her mother had a perfect opportunity to fill her in and manipulate Tara for her own purpose before and after her wedding, was she so stupid to hinge her whole plan on an unstable variable as Tara and that through a letter into enemy territory to a daughter she had abandoned with incriminating information. WTF.
As previously stated, read only for spice not for plot.
I am writing this review for the series as a whole. (I do this because of series like this where it started off strong but then lacked as it continued because I wish I had seen a review like this before I had committed to the series.)
TLDR; I was waiting for it to get better, and it just doesn't. Still giving it two stars because I did finish the series...
There is bullying until 60% into the THIRD book... And there is NO grovel. None. They apologize and she instantly forgives (I mean literally.) them and they have s3x and everything is fine.
Spoilers!
"'And what if I refuse?' I ask, my hands curling into fists. Prince Aryls answers, his expression far away. 'As our wife, we make these kinds of decisions. You know that.'" -this is from the second book. Like what? So they just choose who she has to marry and have s3x with? and then when she is expected to consummate her new marriage? They all fight over who gets her virginity and what order, as if she has no say in even that after they haven't wanted anything to do with her? This was probably the worst part.
Also there is "who did this" but they literally don't see it until almost the end and it's literally just kind of brushed under the rug.
It's unfortunate because I REALLY liked the authors writing style. And I really liked what the story could have been... if the mmcs weren't so awful for so long. I genuinely just feel bad for the fmc.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Loved it but seriously can Tara not catch a break. Tara’s story continues and yet again I couldn’t put it down but so frustrated by the men in her life. Seriously, her husbands really need to get it together. Yet again I wanted to jump into the pages and have words with her men. Shake them until they see what they have right in front of them, to trust their true feelings for her. Tara deserves better, if they don’t get it together it would be the biggest mistake in their lives. I was getting whiplash from the back and forth between Tara and her wolf shifter husbands. I will say one of her husbands at the end of the book seems to have his priorities right when it comes to Tara, but her other husbands seem to have a knack for spoiling things with there stubborn stupidity.
I don’t want to give too much away, you’ll just have to read it to find out, but I knew it! A comment she said in the very beginning of the book, I guessed what was causing the illness. Now they just have to find a way to cure it. On the plus side, it seems her magic is improving. I have a theory for that, but we will see in the next book if my suspicions are correct. Even with all her husbands, she still feels so lonely. I can’t wait for book 3 to see if her husbands can get the stick out of their butts and give Tara the life and love she deserves.
I am loving this series. I could not put down this second book. Poor Tara just seems to always have such a rough time. Her husbands confuse her to no end. They act like they don’t want her but get jealous when she spends time with the blacksmith. Then they are shocked when she knows more about the people in the castle and kingdom then they do since she is left alone a lot and ended up making friends with them. They keep pushing her about a cure and they think she is stronger than she is (although I think she is stronger than she knows). Her magic seems to work well there but she doesn’t know what to do to fix the problem. The princes still are trying to stay away from her and are just using her to help their people. I think they are catching feelings without even realizing it though. She finally figures out the cause but not how to fix it. As we are wrapping up this book we end with 2 kind of big additions. Like I was excited to learn more about the bear shifters and meet their prince but was at a loss for what he wants from them and then that ending has my shocked. I cannot wait for the next book and to see what happens. I hope things start going better for Tara. She seems like the sweetest person and needs all the love and for her husbands to get it together. I currently have a favorite out of them but want to see how things go in our next book to see if I am swayed
Their Cursed Wolves(Kingdom of Shifters & Witches Book 2) by Lacey Carter Andersen is a fantasy reverse harem. This book must be 2nd as it picks up where the other leaves off and one would be missing a lot of important backstory. Tara discovers much about the shifters in this story and is trying to figure out how to save them from the illness. The men are discovering she is not at all what they expected and struggle to keep their vow of not consummating their marriage. Will Tara ever find a place to fit in and find happiness? This was a quick binge novel that O read in a day. I really like the characters especially Tara as she has so many reasons to be the amazing woman she Is yet she overcomes anything anyone can throw at her she has so much strength and I love seeing it. I kinda feel like smacking the men side their heads. This story was fast paced and an enjoyable read. The world-building is wonderful. This book ends on another cliffhanger but also with a few surprises. It felt like Tara was getting close to finding her HEA. I can't wait for Book 3 to see what happens next! If you enjoy fantasy romance with witches and shifters. If stories with why-choose, forced proximity, and enemies to lovers themes are your thing you will definitely enjoy Their Cursed Wolves.
Their Cursed Wolves continues young Tara’s story. Pawned off into a marriage, that no one asked her if she even wanted, as a “peace bride” for three shifters. Tara is hoping for a change in her life, the potential to finally find some happiness. Unfortunately, that appears to be something too far-fetched for her as her husbands appear to hate her...simply because she’s a witch. But the shifters believe that she will be the key to helping their people. They just have to get the answers out of her first. Their Cursed Wolves continues with Tara managing to find some happiness with the shifters. Well, to be clear with the shifter people...not necessarily her husbands...who continue to be jerks. Drogo especially continues his reign as most disliked by us. Yes, he has a moment, emphasis on a (as in singular) moment of relative softness towards Tara. However, it’s almost a blink and you’ll miss it moment. The dynamics between the characters are constantly shifting. Things appear to improve between Tara and a couple of her husbands only for things to shift again toward the negative. You can look forward to some answers in this book (you’ll figure it out before Tara), but then the author throws in another twist...or two. This story is truly engaging and will leave you wondering where things are headed from here.
Their Cursed Wolves by Lacey Carter Andersen is book two in the Kingdom of Shifters and Witches series. After reading the first book I was eagerly awaiting this one. That being said you must read these books in order as they are not standalones. But if you’re a fan of why choose fantasy romance then these are the books for you. I finished this book pretty quickly as I was still just as invested. I really feel for Tara because I understand her so well that I can relate to her character. The way she hides her pain and feelings just really struck a chord with me. Plus I was so happy to read her start to realize her worth and standing up for herself. I still want to shake the princes though, hopefully they begin to open up more in the next book. But the characters are well done with their different personalities and the way they come at situations. This book took me on a journey of magic, frustration, mystery and some comedic moments. I thought it was written well with a steady plot. The descriptions are good where I can imagine what I’m reading with clarity. But after that ending needless to say I need book three. I would recommend this book to fans of this genre.
Their Cursed Wolves was such a good read. I don't normally enjoy bully romances but this is the exception. I feel like I finally got a deeper understanding of Tara and I like her better for it. She truly is a good soul and doesn't deserve the crap the princes have been handing out to her. I thought maybe things would have gotten better in this one but they didn't.
The guys are being stubborn in their distrust of Tara. Dorgo is the worst of the trio his prejudices are infecting everything. It's just so frustrating. All three of them are denying what they feel, playing these little games, and being unjustly cruel to Tara. In all of their talks never once did they really consider Tara's feelings let alone as a person. If it was up to me no redemption, at least not without a lot of groveling, especially Dorogo.
This was a quick read so the plot moved along fairly quickly. Tara's fitting in surprisingly well with the rest of the shifters. I enjoyed seeing her (at least partially) happy, Gods knows she deserves it. Now onward to the actual plot. More is learned about the
Lacey left readers on the edge of a knife, I'm excited for their Fated Magic, I'm not sure it's the final book in the series but I'm hoping to at least get the answer to a big question.
This is book two in the Kingdom of Shifters & Witches series. The books need to be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Naive witch Tara found herself married to three wolf shifter princes to secure a peace treaty during book one. Often mistreated and alone, she has no concept of marriage, friendship, or life outside of high castle walls.
Princes Drogo, Rinan, and Arlys vow to keep Tara at an arm’s distance, blaming her for the crimes of her people. Unfortunately, the plucky witch has a way of endearing herself to all those around. She’s just so sweet and darn likeable.
This marriage wasn’t based on love though. The shifters had an ulterior motive. If Tara can’t deliver on what they need, will they have a reason to keep her? What will happen when an enemy, or is it an ally, throws a new wrench into the mix?
I continue to find Tara’s inner monologues to be witty and often hilarious as she tries to navigate an entirely new world of experiences and guys. Her beautiful soul shines through no matter the situation and draws you in.
There aren’t many series out there that can get me totally worked up and ready to give some fictional men a piece of my mind, but boy do these men make my blood boil. And not in a good way, but in a way I’m fully supporting our fmc to go her own way and leave them all behind.
So yeah, I am invested in this series in a way I rarely am. A lot has been written about our fmc in reviews from book one, but honestly, I absolutely love this girl. No matter how many times she’s been hurt in the past, she holds on to such a pure heart, and to watch it get trampled on again and again really hurts. She absolutely deserves better, and I hope the moment these men realize it will be a moment that cuts them just as deep.
I had been counting the days until I could read this second book in the series, and I was equally dreading the moment I would start because I just knew the ending would hurt. I don’t think I’ve ever been as thankful as I am now that this authors tends to rapidly release a series because once again, I’m going to start counting the days until the release of book three…
Delving in deeper into the story of the Tara the witch princess, that was married to the 3 shifter wolves as part of a treaty. Tara is struggling to find her place in the kingdom of the shifters, there is much about the kingdom of her husbands that is welcoming to her, the apparent happiness of the children and the interaction they have with their parents, something she never had the knowledge that her own mother loved her. The wolf shifters do not know what to make of her as they have only heard how terrible witches were to them. Tara believing she is only a mediocre witch has been promised by her mother to find the cure to the illness that is striking down the shifters, first the elderly and now the children. She fears if she does find a cure that they will kill her. What of her husbands, they seem angry about her all the time, each trying to not like her? What is with the Bear Shifter demanding to be part of the treaty and wanting her as his mate! Tara is growing away from her mother will she be able to stand against her mother? I am waiting for the next book!
This is shaping up to be an amazing series! Tara is still her oh so innocent self and an adorable and funny character, she is definitely my favourite character in this book. The plot is flowing nicely and Tara manages to figure out where the illness is coming from, it really took some doing, even Willo was getting frustrated with her the penny just wouldn't drop despite it being obvious! Her relationships with her husbands are slowly starting to warm up. They are so determined to stick to their original plan of not touching her but their resolve is slowly starting to crumble and they are displaying signs of jealousy when they found her wearing another mans shirt and towards the end when the bears make an appearance. There is a cliffhanger ending, the ending is something I would never have guesssed, but I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the next book. With Garrick now thrown into the mix and that surprise ending it's going to be interesting to see what happens next and to find out where Tara's loyalties lie
I’m loving this series so far, but Tara can’t seem to catch a break. Poor Tara once again is put in a serious predicament. Her husband‘s confuse her to no end they don’t take her feelings into consideration. Which is extremely frustrating!! The way she hides her pain and feelings, just really stuck with me. I can’t wait till she shows her full potential and just really give all her men a really good piece of her mind and drop them all like a bad habit. To where they literally have to grovel for her forgiveness to get her back. This book took me on a journey of frustration I can admit there were some laugh out loud moments but I’m hoping that the mens in Tara life finally get their crap together. For them to realize the gems that they have that is Tara before it’s too late. But then again I don’t know because that cliffhanger ending left me on edge needless to say I’m totally looking forward to the next book in this amazing series. As always, my book reviews are totally voluntary. No monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.
Their Cursed wolves by Lacey Carter Anderson is the second book in Kingdom of Shifters and Witches Book and a fabulous fantasy RH forced proximity romance that was utterly captivating! And while it may be more of a slow burn then her others at time, man was the angsty tension burning hot throughout the story!
Tara is truly coming into her own with this story and I am 100% there for it! Having experienced some hard things in life you can’t help but cheer loudly when things go her way as she fights hard to claim her own space in life—and amongst her men. Full of secrets and tension Tara is on a mission to cure the curse and save the wolves and isn’t willing to let anything get in her way!
Overall if fantasy rh romances fantasy romances full of touch-her-and-die vibe and lots of humor are your thing—this is for you! Just be prepared it will go fast as it’s a quicker read then most and watch out for that epic cliffhanger of an ending that will leave you begging for more! I can't wait for more of this world!
I love this second book so much more than the first! I devoured it in one evening.
Tara is starting to come into her own as she has the freedom she never had with the witches. The Princes' are still trying to keep their distance from her but with varying success. They still have a preconceived view of how her life was with the witches.
She still has her innocent outlook on this new world she's now living in, it brings up some hilarious questions from her - she asks exactly what's on her mind.
I'm really enjoying seeing how she fits into this new role, even with the pressure of the illness. The way the story goes towards the end was not something I saw coming but I think it's brilliant! It's going to shake the Princes up a bit and it's about time - so looking forward to seeing what's going to happen in the next book.
The only thing missing is spice, this does really suit the story so far though but things are definitely starting to heat up.
I loved the first book and eagerly awaited this second one in the series did not disappoint! I was shocked when I came to the end... I just desperately need more!!
Tara developing under the pressure of trying to find the cure and managing her first female friendship and obviously managing the grumpy trio of husbands!
'So they're actually attracted to me? It's not like I'm just around when they're h0rny? Or a stiff breeze is making them er3ct? Or they see the crackling in the fireplace and their sprung? It's me?' This is just one of the scenes that had me laughing out loud! I just love how Tara's innocence is portrayed!
Ans well hello G, he definitely seems promising! And will hopefully shake up the other princes and make them wake up and pull their heads out of their proverbial's!
My heart really goes out to her with the way the trio treat her, it's heart-breaking!
After the haste and surprising wedding to three wolf shifter princes, the witch princess Tara finds the shifter lands much more welcoming and nice than expected. Only, her husbands treat her hot and cold, she is unsure of their true intentions, and on top of that, there is the pressure of finding cure to the mysterious illness. And if that wasn't enough, now the bear shifters enter the scene with their own demands and claims. I very much enjoy the relationship drama in this story. The heat level is tamer than in many shifter books, and perfectly complemented by Tara's complete naivety and inexperience in any things related to man, which is often pretty hilarious. On the other side are the three wolves, experienced, driven by their emotions, keeping themselves under control only with difficulties. And when Garrick jumps in, that's a moment :) I would also hit them over their dumb heads plenty of time for their treatment of Tara, though, even if I understand where they come from. And now that Tara's mother also showed her intentions, I am looking forward to the next events.
