OMG the roller coaster of emotions reading this book! If you have read the first two books you will understand the connection with the characters. Just like my shows I get emotional attached. But it all works out in the end for Remy and Claire and I couldn’t be happier. I’m excited to see what Carly does with other characters of the book stay tuned for more!

This one was a lot. Not bad a lot, just a lot. I enjoyed the a lot though. It kept me pulled into the story. I loved the HEA. It was a clean wrap up of the story.

This Dark Romance is book 3 in the Embrace The Darkness series. This is a dark romance with sensitive subjects, and darker themes. Check those TWs. The romance is this book is full of longing, and regret until the characters work through their issues. The book does have spicy scenes between the love interests. There are also descriptive scenes of traumatic situations Claire experiences. The book moves at a quicker pace following Claire as she tries to move on with her life after Remy. Remy is trying to end the trafficking situation that has damaged so many people he cares about. Remy still keeps a close eye on Claire even as hes let her go. This is helpful when Claire finds herself in trouble. Claire has had a hard life that has molded her into a ruthless woman. Remy is revenge focused until he realizes how unpredictable life can be for those he loves. This book wraps up the story closing all the whos whos, and what's whats. It also gives the characters a much deserved happily ever after. This book has a lot going on, without becoming chaotic. Its a emotional and intense ride through this story.

...I don't even know how to start this. Holy CRAP! This book is a rollercoaster through and through. A Light in the Darkness is the perfect title for the ending of the Embrace the Darkness trilogy. It has the right balance between light and dark, love and utter heartbreak, and joy and devastation. The things Claire and Remy endure in this book will bring you to your knees. It's been a while since I've been so emotionally invested in a HEA but I'm SO happy with the ending these two phenomenal characters get. It has quite the twist yet I feel like it makes the ending all the more sweet. This book deals with some HEAVY topics so check your trigger warnings before diving in. It's already on my rereading list for when I want to have my heart completely shattered and rebuilt once more. From found family to touch her and 💀, this book isn't lacking in the plot department. It's quicker paced than The Weight of Darkness which I appreciated and it held me captive from the first page. I adore this trilogy and was honored enough to receive an ARC for this book which made the read through that much more meaningful. Thank you so much Carly Claire for making SUCH a spectacular book series and characters that will forever stay with me.

* Arc Read*

This book takes place a few months after the previous one. It felt like one after the other with the plot twist I did guess one semi right from the 1st book. Remi is on the hunt for Devos and assembles a team to try and free as many prisoners as he can. Claire is on the hunt for Wes or so she thinks. While Dimitri was guarding her for a little while he had given her some items to protect herself. Claire had found out some terrifying news while on her search and got into some trouble while looking for Wes. She had gone numb from all of the darkness, but her spark is renewed when she meets a little girl that Remi had saved in one of his missions. When they find one of remis partners missing wife they go on another mission which happened to be a bunch of stolen kids. they end up rescuing them and Remi gets shot. When they take him to hospital, they aren't equipped to handle that sort of trauma, so Claire ends up donating blood like she did for Wes and finds out that she is pregnant. The story ends with a perfect Hea I think this story wove all of the plot twist into a beautiful bow

“I never thought I’d sacrifice everything else for one person, but I’d let it all burn for her.”

This is the ending to Carly’s Embrace the Darkness trilogy. It wraps up Claire and Remy’s story. After leaving Remy because they want different things, Claire tries to get over him and move on. But being still being in danger, Remy still has is grips on Claire but having a bodyguard follow her around everywhere. Up until he has to leave for personal reasons. With this new found freedom, Claire sets out to do what she feels needs to be done, get revenge on people that have wronged her. Until she finds herself in a bit of trouble. Can Claire get herself out of trouble herself? Or will someone come save her? You’ll have to read to find out!

I have been blessed to arc read the whole trilogy. And I can say without a doubt, this was the perfect ending to the trilogy. I loved their story from the very first book. I can tell you it’s not a traditional romance, but one I feel was more satisfying than most romances I have read. I loved the banter, the healing, and the self reflection in this book. Please check the trigger warnings! Your mental health matters.

I'm not even sure where to begin with this one. This book, probably moreso than the previous 2, evoked the strongest emotions for me. It is completely spellbinding and consuming. These characters and everything that they've all been through totally broke my heart. Even Wes! This has been an emotional, intense, gritty, heartbreaking, beautiful journey. This author brings these characters stories to life in such a way that I felt a part of their journey. Every pain, every joy, every heartache was deeply felt and it certainly won't be anything I soon forget. I'd love to see Moose, Wes and Violet's stories as well as what the future looks like for all of these characters. The Embrace The Darkness series is truly a beautifully written story that swept me in from the very first page of book 1 and completely consumed me until the very last page of book 3. This story will be with me for some time to come.

First I need to start off by saying damn the emotional roller coaster I just went on in the book was intense

Claire had me screaming at my kindle so many times I don’t know if I could count.

Be warned the triggers in this book are up there but they work so well in the story that I was hooked.

I am here for the whole messed up story. If you love dark f*cked up romances with all the triggers and red flags this is the one for you.

Remy had me with his declaration of love. It has to be one of my favorites.

“Not six months. It took one single moment for me to realize that I should have built you a fucking rocket and brought you the moon back in pieces. It took one single moment to realize that if anything happened to you, I’d never forgive myself for letting you down. It took one single moment for me to realize that I want what you want, because all I want is for you to be happy, because that’s what love is.”

There was so much happening in this book it was almost hard to keep but, despite that though I did really enjoy it.
Not gonna lie though, Claire PISSED me off. This girl that has been through so much just decides to trust someone she has never met and thinks it's gonna turn out okay? Spoiler alert, it didnt!  Despite that though I loved her character development, although there were times I wanted to strangle her.
Remy surprised me in this one, he was just kind of meh to me in the first 2 books but I feel like he really stepped up. The way he was willing to leave everything behind for her and then with his declaration, he admittedly had me grinning at my kindle.
Even though there was a lot happening in this book (between finding out about claires parentage, who poisoned her, Claire being kidnapped again, the rescue missions etc..) I feel like this was a good end to the series and I really don't see how it could have ended any other way.

I really really enjoy this ending. I think it makes perfect sense that it would go this route given the character development and progression of story line. I think it’s rare to have a happy ending where almost everything was addressed - I saw there’s gonna be a spinoff about Moose which I’m excited to read. Only gripe I had with this book was that the Davos story line wasn’t really complete. But if there are more spinoffs coming, maybe Davos will still be in these other books but we’re just done with the Bordeaux storyline for now. My only confusion is Wes - It wasn’t really explained how he suddenly became trustworthy. I know Claire saved him and then he saved Claire. But I was confused why he popped in and saved Remy. And then was there at Christmas?? Isn’t Violet his sex slave wife? I don’t get why (given his past) he’s suddenly different and ok giving a woman rights to choose to see her family. Either way - I hope there’s a Wes spinoff from his perspective so my questions are answered!!!

Having just read the first two books in the series, I quickly started the third. I enjoyed the first two, but honestly, this book completely blew them out of the water. The author pushed this book's story, character development, and relationships. The story started hard and fast and continued like that throughout. There were many twists and turns and this book felt like its own story in itself. Remi, the MMC, really came into himself. I loved the decisions he made, the friendships he built with his team and I could feel his emotions through the words. The ending was beautiful, and I shed a few tears. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would for this book. It ties up the story well, and Carly Claire has quickly become one of my favourite authors. I am looking forward to reading what she publishes next!

THIS was the ending I needed, but didn't know I wanted to a series. As with the first two books, check your trigger warnings & buckle up for the ride. Claire & Remy are absolute perfection together. The reader is never left guessing as to what a character is thinking because Ma'am has a beautiful way of painting a scene. As an avid reader, it becomes second nature to read through books & not get attached. That was not how this ended. I am attached, invested, heart broken, elated, and still wanting to have my heart to be ripped out again. All of this is because Ma'am will piece it back together in the best way possible in the end. Oh, and I demand more Moose with a side of Squirrel please and thank you.

This story was another wild ride just like the previous books of this series. You pick up right where book 2 left off and you finally get the answers we have all been waiting for. The twists and turns through this book were amazing and ones I never saw coming. Remy and Claire finally got their HEA and it made my heart so dang happy. Check TW before reading because this story was dark and deals with some very heavy topics. The last few chapters really made this story something that I will never forget and the ending was 💋🤌🏼. The growth of these characters was so beautiful and I loved every minute of each book!

This book is crazy but in a good way! it does answer most of your questions. Remy finally comes to terms with his liking to Claire and Claires trying to not like Remy but gets involved with moose as rhea gets involve with Eli! On top of that we find out who Claire's real father is and what happened to her mom and that her stepmom is insane. Also, she finds out she has a twin sister as well. Then find out what really happened to Lauren! honestly this book kept me on my toes the entire time! I highly recommend this book! check trigger warnings tho before you jump in! Thanks for a great trilogy, Carly!

What a fantastic finish to this series!!

The ending of book 2 had me on the edge of my seat wondering and speculating and this book did not disappoint!!

So much action and so many twists and turns! This final book kept me intrigued and addicted the whole way through. I honestly thought we were going to loose one of our main characters but I’m so glad I was wrong!

The spice was 🤌🏼💋! I love that there was not only spice but story and adventure through the entire book, the character progression was spot on too!

If you haven’t read the first two I highly recommend snagging them and starting at the beginning because you definitely will love the deep dark romance story of Remy and Claire!

great ending

Clarie and Remy are together but not. She feels like nothing. She is nothing so she means nothing. All she wants is to feel something but she can’t feel anything. Until Remy is back and then the truth comes out about how her family is and what has happened to them and how people in her family treat her and she feels like nothing. She becomes a shell of the person she once was and Remy knows she’s more and means more and will stick by her but can’t break in for her to see until something happens and she starts to come around on her own. Things change and her life is hers until she almost looses Remy. What will happen if that happens? Will she survive?

The twists and the turns!! Oh my! A Light in the Darkness is the darkest of the series and it is fantastic. The balance is perfect. Darkness and light. Humor and sadness. Hope and despair. Death and new life. It is brilliantly done. Carly really outdid herself on this one. I love Claire and Remy's story. Two broken pieces somehow fit together perfectly. I am excited to see that Moose will be getting his own story next year. I hope that it lets us peek back in on these characters. I can't wait to read more.

ARC Review:

5/5⭐️, 1.5/5🌶️

-Dual POV
-Found Family
-Touch her and 💀
-Book 3 of 3
-Dark Romance

This was so good. Phenomenal even. I’m gonna have to say book 3 was my favourite of the series. But I also just loved Claire and Remy. Their dynamic is such a beautiful one and it shows how strong they are. Together or apart. Claire is such a strong independent woman and I really loved everything about her. The twists in this one had me spiraling for a bit too. I never knew what was coming next and I felt like I was out on a twisty ride. I highly highly recommend this one!

This is book three the Embrace the Darkness series, and this takes the trophy. It is very well written; the details and backstories bring everything together. I loved this book and this series. The chemistry between Remy and Claire got even better. It does have an HEA but a unique at that. Please read the TW as some topics may not be for everyone. For any dark romance lover that is used to dark stuff that loves a grocery list of TW then this will be an amazing treat. The spice was enjoyable. It will pull all the right emotions. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book so much, I devoured it in a day! Books 1 and 2 were completely action packed and book 3 did not disappoint. The story was wrapped up in this book, and I do hope Remy and Claire get their happily ever after, but I have a feeling they’ll be making appearances in future books (or maybe it’s wishful thinking that we’ll see more of the characters in this world), so I’m excited to see what the future holds for them. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book Ms Carly Claire publishes!!

This fucking series man 😭😭😭
Carly has me all kinds of fucked up.
That ending was BEAUTIFUL in every way possible.
I don’t know whether I’m crying tears of joy or sadness from it ending - I’m just straight up sobbing.
For real though, imma need Rhea & Dimitri’s story and Moose’s and Wes’/Violet’s too… basically imma need them allllll. Like I seriously don’t ever want to leave this universe that Carly has created.
It’s rocked my world and honestly, I’m 100% okay with that.
Remy is still and always will be my No.1 man 🤍

I devoured this series from beginning to end. Carly Claire has a way of wrapping you up in the story and making you fall in love with the characters. While the first two books in the series left me begging for more, A Light in the Darkness beautifully unraveled the mystery. I didn’t want this story to end, I loved every single bit of it. The writing style, the character development, the plot, and Remy and Claire’s HEA after enduring so much together. I enjoyed every second of it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

To state that this book is amazing would be short sighted. I am in love with this series and devoured them within days.
The subjects in this book (and series) are quite triggering to some so make sure to check trigger warnings. The found family that developed in this book is one of my favorites I’ve ever read. This is a definite read and will more than likely be a reread for me.

I received an arc copy of this book but my thoughts are my own.

I was so excited to get my hand on this book and oh my the roller coaster of emotions I was put through! It gets dark and heavy but through the dark and heavy is a story about healing and finding what all you’ll do for your family found or blood! Remy made me fall more in love with him through his selflessness and how much love and care he has. It was seriously the perfect ending to the trilogy and I am so excited to see what else is to come!

I received a copy in return for my honest review.

Oh . My . Gosh . What an amazing way to end this trilogy!! I was so shocked by the twists and turns. Healing from her trauma, Claire was so amazing and a bad@ss in the end! One BIG happy family ... literally. That was so unbelievably crazy but I cried multiple times. They all definitely deserved their happy endings! I'm stoked to read about Moose next year!

Remy & Claire
Remy and Claire have been on quite the roller-coaster throughout the series.
While I'm sad it's over, I'm so glad they finally got their well deserved HEA.
This book brought out all the emotions for me.
Filled with twists, drama, action, some spice, and much more! Needless to say, I couldn't put it down once I started reading!

I think the author did an excellent job wrapping up their story and gave us a perfect ending for them!!!

This book was the PERFECT way to finish out the trilogy!!! When I tell you I was on the edge of my seat for half of it and then stressed out the other half. Claire and Remy are literally perfect for each other you cannot convince me otherwise!!!! I will be reading EVERYTHING Carly Claire writes, I love her writing style so much and her stories have a way of gripping you from the very beginning and keep you coming back for more!

Please read the TWs before diving into this book.

The conclusion to Claire, Remy and all those in their life was a wild one. I was in a roller coaster of emotions from chapter one.

The book picks up a few months after book two but we’re given bits and pieces throughout what everyone has been up to. A lot happens in this finale, including answers to questions, surprises and a well deserved HEA. Claire and Ryan finally get the family and love they’ve always craved.

5 stars! Wow. This book tied the whole series up, it answered all of my questions from the first two books. It started fast and just kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. This series was phenomenal. If you are into dark romance….and I mean dark (check your triggers), please give this series a shot. I will be thinking about this one for some time.
