In this volume, the Liberation Army continues to bring the rest of Merinard under its control, and stamps out remaining areas of resistance as needed. We see the start of international relations with other countries on the continent, which I assume will be the focus going forward. Kousuke has a prodigious number of wives and soon-to-be wives at this point, so a lot of the humor centers around those interactions. It was fun to return to this world, but this was more of a clean-up volume so there wasn't much forward momentum.
Bit of an intermezzo for the main story, traveling around a bit, trying to restore order, while obviously interacting with the monster (and human) woman in his harem. Funny at times, definitely entertaining in the over-the-top way that is part of the series. I do wish a bit more progress in the main plot. Not for everybody, but I like it. Than again, this is volume 7.
