As a mystery story, this book might lack in suspense. But if you want something mushy and sweet and cuddly, you're the intended audience for "Everything."
Why would a picture book for kids 2-5 be a mystery anyway? Because it begins with this rhyming couplet:
Which part of you do I love best? I'm going to try a little test....
Now, what was the title of this book again? Hmmmmm.
UNABASHEDLY SENTIMENTAL
I can see how some parents might weep while they read this to their child, because Emma is giving them words for how they feel.

Six year old says: It tells you what your favorite feelings I guess and your mother or dad are trying to find out what is the best. The gold texture on the pages is really shiny and it feels good when you touch it. The Koalas are pretty cool.
A book about love between a parent and child. Although the description of the book indicates a mother, no pronouns are used for the parent or baby making it a great book for any family. The koala drawings were cute and colourful.
An absolutely gorgeous book of compliments from parent to child.

5 stars from everyone at our house. So many 'oooohs' and 'aaaaahs' it was hard to take. I brought this one home to see if it would be a fun choice for a library program and was thrilled to see how happy it made both of my girls. There is just enough sparkle in this book to make it special with a wonderful distinct line to the koala images. Lovely text that was a delight to read aloud and I am inspired by several different things to centre it as a program for our toddler visitors. Loved it.
Lovely picture book demonstrating shared experiences (kisses, hugs, cuddles) between a mommy koala and a joey. Short, rhyming sentences and full-page spread illustrations make this a great book for sharing with a toddler.
Think Guess How Much I Love You by McBratney with love expressed from mother to child using body parts which lend themselves well to audience participation.
Nice rhyming read aloud for babies and toddlers with beautiful digital illustrations that makes artful use of gold foil.
