There is nothing wild about Elena—every inch of her shiny blonde hair and tailored suit screams modern working woman. But all that is about to change, thanks to a man called Tyrone Power. He's her boss and is about to offer her the promotion she's always wanted, but there's a catch—she has to set up a new office for him in his sleepy home town of Ballyknock.
This was entertaining and witty and passed the time very nicely, whilst I awaited the arrival of some books I had on order. Elena (Lainey), a solicitor in Dublin, is asked by her boss, Tyrone Power, to go down to Ballyknock in Kilkenny, to set up a new office for him and in return, she will get a partnership in the firm. Ballyknock is a far cry from her glamorous life in the big city, but she discovers there are some compensations in the form of his nephews, the handsome Power brothers. Essentially, it's the story of relationships between families and friends and learning to live a simple life, whilst finding out what is really important. Very witty, as I said, I have read some of her previous books and liked all of them. A good old chick-lit is called for every once and a while and this was one good one.

How do I give a chic lit book 5 stars. It is often the same story, the same girl and the same guy. Not this one. I love this story because it did not feel like every other chic lit book. Lainey is a big city girl and she has to go to the country for work. I stayed up late reading because i wanted Lainey to find love and I was not disappointed. Engaging story, hot men and a great setting all wrapped up in a fast reading tale.
