An Unexpected Return to the Mess of Things…
So, this said “Intergalactic” Council had transported him to Earth. Methinks if Grendel-Prime were to return, they’ll be a sorry lot. However, he’s got problems of his own here on Earth. And it’s not a welcome sight. It’s wasteland everywhere he went. He’s curious about who and what the Necrolords are. And what have they done. Right now, he’s met a couple of “friends”. If he’s not careful, have to expect a betrayal. The Necrolords has put up a sign for bounties of anyone being a Grendel. So, “Necrolords” is a curious title. Vampires, maybe? We’ll see, for now.

Grendel Is Back!
Grendel is back on Earth and back on the comic book shelf where he belongs. Matt Wagner`s art is as fantastic looking as ever. Grendel is one of the comic book series that I have been reading since the Christine Spar days with art by The Pander Brothers. Back then I never would have anticipated I would still be reading Grendel is exploits almost 40 years later. Recommended for Grendel fans and fans of Matt Wagner and his art. This looks to be a good series and this was just the start!

Begins with a literal gallows' scene. Carrion birds dot the sky.
"Now... I have no mission... So I wander."
After a brutal slaying at the 'Swamp Swap', Prime takes to the road with two other fugitive Grendels. I definitely (defiantly?) and desperately want to know what happens next of their journey.
