She is away from her controlling boyfriend as she travels to her brother fishing contest. Unfortunately due to the weather her plane home is grounded so her brother gets her a ride. She will enjoy the time away from them and she finds herself liking him. He is hiding something. What will happen? How will they get on? See how the journey goes

The ending seemed too rushed

Seth is opening his restaurant soon in Texas. At an angling competition, he meets Lindsay who is also based in Texas.

Lindsay has just gotten out of a relationship with her over-bearing ex who tried to control every aspect of her life.

Overall, the pacing is a little slow. Nothing much happens in the first half, as it just focuses on them making the road trip home towards Texas. Their conversations are also stilted and boring. Only when Seth’s truck breaks down in the small town of Cherryville and they are forced to share a room , does things pick up a bit.

They share some cute moments together but this is over-shadowed by the weird reactions which Seth shows towards Lindsay’s normal suggestions/reactions. In fact, his grumpiness is hard to explain.

And towards the end, things really pick up so fast that it becomes almost unbelievable how much in love they are without properly dating.

Seth and Lindsay bump into each other at a Pro Fishing Competition. Seth is there with friends as a last big outing before opening his new Tex-Mex restaurant. Lindsay is there to support her brother, Peter. But a hurricane brings the competition to a swift close, and when Peter finds out that Seth is travelling back to Texas by car, where Lindsay also stays, he asks if Seth can please take Lindsay home with him.

The story follows their travels home, and we watch their relationship develop through the various trials of their journey.

This was well-written, and I enjoyed the various scenario's designed to test them, and draw them closer together. Especially when they learned the Carolina Shag. :).

Is a sweet close proximity, friends to lovers sweet romance with no cliffhanger.
Some of the lines I really liked --- Some say you can get a better feel for people when you understand what kind of music they listen to. -----
"We express how close we are in different manners. And I would do this whether we were close or not, Seth. I support my friends, even if they might be better described as acquaintances when I first hear about their dreams." ----

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Lindsay and Seth's story and can't wait for her next book to come out. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Nothing like a multi-day, cross-country trip with an unexpected extrovert companion. Lindsay, to stress introvert Seth almost to his breaking point. Add the complication that he is attracted to her but feels that if she knew he’s a billionaire it would spook her. With an important meeting set for the day after he expects to be home from a pro fishing tournament that gets cancelled due to hurricane moving in, Seth is feeling the pressure to get home. A delay caused by mechanical issues with his old truck, Seth isn’t at his best. This trip allows time for Seth and Lindsey to get to know each other. I enjoyed this book, but would have like maybe an epilogue to tell us what is happening in a year.

Willow Finn paints a picture in your mind of a cross country trip with a couple of strangers. It's fun to see how Seth and Lindsay interact. They get along better than I imagine based on the title. I was expecting Seth to be quite intolerable. On the contrary he only comes across as moderately grumpy do to car troubles which might delay the opening of his restaurant. Overall, I found this book entertaining, funny and adventurous.

Grumpy Billionaire Chef by Willow Finn is a grumpy sunshine romance novel, where chef Seth hesitantly agrees to take Lindsay home in his car.

From the very first I enjoyed this novel. The writing is flowing and both characters are likable ones you can relate to. Lindsay is finally free to do what she wants, but Seth has a secret. This book is a great story about a road trip with two different characters who are so right for each other. During this trip a lot happens and sometimes it is really funny.

Willow Finn has once again written a totally enjoyable lovely story, filled with humor, with a flowing writing style and with two main characters you root for. I have become a fan of her writing and can’t wait to read more of her books.

Seth joined a fishing tournament with a bunch of his friends. He meets Lindsay and her brother who is also fishing. Seth and Lindsay discover that they both live in Texas about an hour away from each other. After the first day of fishing the tournament is canceled because of a hurricane. Lindsay's flight was also canceled so she gets a ride back home with Seth. Oh, what a fun, difficult and crazy adventure they had on the way home.

This is another great book by Willow Finn. If you enjoyed the author's other books, this one will not disappoint. In this book, the reader gets to learn more about Seth and his story after meeting him in the previously related books. The author has crafted genuine, relatable characters that you will root for from the beginning. This was a very enjoyable read that I highly recommend.

Seth and Lindsey meet in North Carolina she is there to support her brother who is also a part of the fishing tournament like Seth. Sparks fly between these two as they get to know each other but will it come crashing down when Lindsey learn that Seth is a billionaire. This heart felt story had me all caught up in these wonderful characters.

4.5 stars. this was an enjoyable and adorable read. Seth and Lindsay make a wonderful couple. The road trip part was fun to read. I had an advanced readers copy from the author, but my opinion is unbiased.

What I loved about this book was that it told that love wasn't just the usual sparks-fly-at-first-met or electrifying or the flutter of butterflies in the stomach, but most of the time it was the 'thump, thump, thump' of the heart and the way it made one's heart beats steadily.

I was glad to see the attraction between Lindsay and Seth at the fishing tournament. The road trip to Texas gave them a chance to learn about each other. I did not think Seth was a strong grumpy billionaire. I also thought the end happened too soon for all the characters involved and left some things unfinished. The story was good but did not pull me in as her other books that I have read.

Lindsey and Seth meet while in NC. What surprises them is that they both live in TX, only an hour apart. She's just escaped a toxic relationship with a millionaire. How will she react when she discovers Seth's a billionaire? When a hurricane changes their plans in NC will it help or hurt their chances?.

I did want to enjoy this book and read to the end. It was a tough read because it felt stiff like others have pointed too. The book lacked likeability. The characters felt one dimensional and the interactions were not realistic. I think the writing was almost there.
