Men vad hände egentligen sen?
#1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn loves to dispel the myth that smart women don't read (or write) romance, and and if you watch reruns of the game show The Weakest Link you might just catch her winning the $79,000 jackpot. She displayed a decided lack of knowledge about baseball, country music, and plush toys, but she is proud to say that she aced all things British and literary, answered all of her history and geography questions correctly, and knew that there was a Da Vinci long before there was a code.
A graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges, Ms. Quinn is one of only sixteen members of Romance Writers of America’s Hall of Fame. Her books have been translated into 32 languages, and she lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest.
The Bridgertons, her popular series of historical romance, is currently in production by Shondaland as a Netflix original series starring Julie Andrews, Phoebe Dynevor, and Rége-Jean Page.
If it weren’t for Eloise’s prologue not actually being a part of her story, not really, I would rate it 5* but it really dragged it down. Haven’t wanted to read this as I thought it would destroy what happened next in my head but it really didn’t! If anything it helped me keep spinning their stories in my mind even further!
Nice enough to read about what happened with the happy couples further down the line, but I wouldn’t say the epilogues added much depth to the stories - it was mostly just a sweet and cozy revisit.
The Bridgerton family has taken the world by storm and in the book you get to know about what happened after each of the books left off. I thought this would be a good one to pick up during my reading marathon since I quite enjoyed the Bridgerton series and needed a quick read. It’s a collection of the 8 extended epilogues for each of the Bridgerton siblings.
My personal favorite is Kate and Anthony’s epilogue. I smiled all the way thru it, their winning mentality and playfulness is relationship goals. I also really enjoyed Frannies epilogue, it’s emotional and deals with subjects such as infertility.
There were some that didn’t make as much sense which is not all that surprising considering it’s been awhile since I read the books in full. It would’ve been more impactful reading the extended epilogue right after the books. But I still really enjoyed most of them. If you’re a fan of the Bridgerton books you have to check out the extended epilogues!
