So you're new to dieting and you are just as lost and confused as ever or you have tried the fad diets and now you have returned to the starting post yet again. A good diet with regular physical activity does lead to a longer and healthier life. But desperation and the quest for the quick fix diet as we all know is a recipe for failure. So this book returns us to the basics of slow and gradual weight loss through a good understanding of all aspects of dieting and the problems we can encounter on the way. The simplest, most basic and most effective diet of all is to just ‘eat less’. This is the basis of this publication but it does take take you a little further than that.
This is an introduction to the basic facts that you need to understand when learning ‘how to diet’. Beyond the facts contained within this book are endless lists of good foods, bad foods, low-energy density foods and negative calorie foods for you to study and consult with. It also covers the psychological side of dieting, understanding yourself and how the body works, the interaction between mind and body and how the mind affects what and how you eat. There are chapters on trigger foods, setting realistic goals, nutrients and what they do, the use of fibre in helping you to feel fuller for longer, the importance of water in your diet, controlling hunger pangs, emotional and social eating, how to say ‘no’ and the importance of recognizing and dealing with food saboteurs. No diet is effective without a good foundation of knowledge with which to guide you on your way to a slimmer, healthier lifestyle. You will find the information within this book to be presented in a simple and easy to understand format. Before you begin, remember that changing your diet can at first be very daunting and you may actually feel a little worse than you usually do. But this is the same with everything in life; it is a natural, and normal, reaction when you move yourself out of your comfort zone, you may feel a little awkward and uneasy, but this passes quickly and is replaced with feelings of elation as you make small victories. So make changes in small steps. During the first week do nothing accept read this book. In the second week make sure you eat an apple and drink a glass of water 30 minutes before each main meal. In your third week, cut full cream milk out of your diet completely and substitute it for reduced fat milk. In your fourth week half your sugar intake, well you get the jist.
Treat it as an adventure, your body will thank you for it. Introduce new foods to your diet, substitute low fat in place of regular foods, eat a salad course each day, reduce animal fats in your diet, have fruit for dessert and introduce vegetable oils in moderation. But persevere, keep going through those intial stages, change is not easy, but it does get easier until eventually it becomes a life change. Small steps.

Full of helpful easy ways to loose weight. No daddy ideas these are tips that will last you forever and help you maintain the weight loss
