“Young love is just that - young love. It rarely ever lasts.” - Terra Forrester
Ruf and Jovi were high school sweethearts who wanted different things in life. Ruf wanted to have fun exploring the world while Jovi had a plan for her future. As much as they loved each other, their lives took separate paths that pulled them apart.
Years later, as a single father of a wild little Forrester, Ruf found himself in a unique situation that added a daughter to his little family. On the same day, the life that had made Jovi so unhappy exploded and sent her reeling into the arms of the first man she had ever loved.
As Jovi’s body healed, so did her heart, and that had everything to do with Ruf and the children that she is quickly falling in love with. Not a patient man by nature, Ruf has finally found the opportunity to have everything he’s dreamed of - a life with Jovi by his side.
Join Cee Bowerman as she helps true love reconnect people who were always meant to be together and watch as they add to the family that we would all love to be a part of in the fourth book of the Lonestar Terrace series.
I love this author books….but this one was a struggle bc the heroine got the short end of the stick.
In short she breaks it off with hero bc she recognises he’s not ready for their relationship they way she is. Which I think is great - but she decides to take 2 bloody years mourning this relationship , finishes school etc and ends up in an abusive relationship. Great - is it hard to read about something positive about heroines and their other relationships? Anyway it appears she only ever had one other. Meanwhile - hero gets the life she had planned for them - family , a couple of kids, home , career…then she takes him back. The end.
The only part of this book I liked was the kids - they were cool. Other than that I got sick of the heroine real quick and the hero …always been my girl, thinking about you and obviously I wasn’t celibate. That wasn’t the issue it was the heroine and her shitty life story which only improved when she took him back. 🤮

This book is a second chance romance for two characters who have loved each other since they were teenagers. It is funny and suspenseful. They were obviously destined to be together. I highly recommend it.
Jovi and ruf this book is brilliant well written and pulls at your heart strings Jovi and ruf were high school sweethearts but even with a plan they still wanted different things now 9 years later the fun and adventurous ruf is now the father of a wild feral but sweet little boy who is looking at life as adventure and seeing love and how it's represented though his grandparents and his new baby sister Jovi now a nurse and going though a bad and dangerous break up ends up.staying with ruf and the kids can they get back what was once there.
This book is amazing kale and terra love and advice is beautifully written and will have you fighting back tears plus a small part for Martha and smoking the original love story
You will not be disappointed when you read this 5stars isn't enough it will have you laughing crying and rooting for everyone especially koda
There are many things that I love about this author's stories like the awesome characters, hilarious banter, crazy antics, drama, angst, suspense, and the intriguing twists. I have yet to read a story of hers that I didn't absolutely love! And yes, I have read every single one of her books. I was initially intrigued by the unique covers on the books, but quickly realized that I found a unique treasure in the amazing stories, as well as a new-to-me favorite author. The only issue I have is that the stories end. Lol! Yeah, I'm greedy when I find such a talented author. I truly appreciate that all of her stories are included in the Kindle Unlimited program. Thank you Cee Bowerman for sharing your amazing talents and stories! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
I absolutely love all of this author's work, and can't wait for the next release!!
This one opens with the big decision Ruf and Ripley had to make from the last book. Ruf stepped up and did the hard thing, took the baby. I loved that he did this and how his family supported him, but the best was when he told Koda and his reaction. Now Koda is his own brand of fun/trouble and he was great in this book. I loved how he saw the rain and knew that the fates were sealed when there was dancing in the rain!
At the start of this one Jovi's life wasn't good and it got worse in an instant. While what happened was bad, the best outcome came. Jovi and Ruf were able to talk again, to talk about what drove them apart and for both to realize that in the time apart, every person they dated were measured against who they lost, that the love was still there.
It was fun to see them build a relationship again, this time with serious intension and how the kids and the extended family came into play. So nice to see the ending and everyone happy.
This is a young love story that just proves that women are more mature than men, lol. Jovi and Ruf had there dreams when they were young, but she knew that she needed to let him go, so he could sow his wild oats, and she went on to get her nursing degree. She sadly ended up with a loser and he hurt her physically for the last time. While she was healing, she reconnected with Ruf and he actually has the dream family started that she's always wanted, but OMG, Koda is a freaking mess and so hilarious with his six year old self, and just so easy for Jovi to fall in love with him and baby Star. The guys that couldn't remember the phone number to: a particular place had me cracking up and my hubby thought that I was losing it, lol. Too funny and way to go Cee.
Highly recommend another fabulous story!! Happy reading!!
A second chance for the high school sweethearts; they were both finally in the right place at the right time. They might have seen each other here and there over the years but it wasn't quite the same. Now, they have the chance to spend forever together, building the life they always wanted. It was so hard to see Jovi in the position she was when we got to the present day. Fortunately, she has everyone behind her, supporting her. The one part that really got me in the feels was when Ruf found out how his mom and sisters have treated Jovi through the years. When they found out the truth, they didn't hesitate to mend fences. I spent the whole book holding my chest, on emotional overload in the best possible way! Sweet and steamy with a huge dollop of laughs, this romance was absolutely phenomenal!!
This is book four in the 2nd generation Rojo series and a beautiful second chance romance for Ruf and Jovi. They loved each other in high school but when they were about to graduate Ruf wanted an adventure to travel with his friends to the west. Jovi however was a planner and had her college, career, and family planned out over the next ten years. Jovi had to work the summer after graduation to help save funds for college. Jovi let Ruf go is the best way even though her heart was broken. There is, as the author mentions, physical and verbal abuse experienced by the lead female from an ex-boyfriend(not Ruf) in the storyline so be careful of triggers. Still Ruf and Jovi have a beautifully challenging relationship and work together to bring love back. Read On!
OMG How I have waited for this book and Lawd knows Cee did not disappoint. A Second chance romance, between two high school loves, one the son of a beloved member of the Texas Kings, the other a strong woman who worked her Butt off to reach her goals in life. They find their way back to each other in a series of unfortunate events. It's a recipe for one amazing story. Throw in some of our favorites of the Texas Kings Rojo family members, a hot alpha single dad, and One hilariously adorable boy. (who anyone that has read Cee's books has been dying to get more of) I mean what's not to love. If you haven't started this series yet or Read any of Cee Boweman's book you are doing yourself a disservice. Run don't walk to get your copy......... Now! Seriously GO
Loved loved loved this book as a survivor of DV myself it reminded me how quickly things can escalate in situations like in this story it just happens and even though after so many years I've moved beyond the effects of my experience reading about it reminded me how far I've come since then thank goodness . Unfortunately so many women and men don't recover the way I did but carry it for life and my heart goes out to them and wish them the best and safest life that they can possibly have . This story was beautiful as always love humour fun family and devotion a love story . Thank you Cee 🌸
Whoooo hoooo!!! Jovi and Ruf are the tremendously awesome couple of who star in this latest addition to the Cee Bowerman universe. My gosh…where to start? There is a LOT of heartache and growing pains in this second chance romance. We get to spend time with the wildest of Forrester boys - Koda and meet some new faces along the way. In between all of that action, we get a delicately sweet love story of 2 soulmates who got taken on a detour to their HEA. We get to visit with all of our dear friends from past & future stories. Loved going on this journey with them! Fantastic story!!!!
This is a wonderful way to spend your reading hours. Loved getting back to the Forrester family of zany characters. This one is filled with reignited love. Ruf and Jovi were teenage sweethearts who parted to pursue divided goals. Years latter after each underwent turmoil, they reignited their love flame. It is a trying process but Jovi finally breaks free of her abuser and finds her HEA with Ruff and his kids. It is a humorous adventure with lots of Foresters contributing to the beauty that is this story. Love this series and especially this book. It’s going to be a favorite reread.
"One day I'm gonna marry a girl who likes lego's and can cook" the absolutely best line ever written or thought of. There is something about Cee Bowerman that speaks to my soul it's crazy but it's true. I laugh so hard and pull for each and every couple to get together. There was always something about Ruf and Koda then you just have to bring in the strong arsed woman aka Jovi then baby star chef's kiss. Throw in amazing one liners, a big smattering of sarcasm and a love to burn the world down for and you find perfection aka any Cee Bowerman book but YOU will enjoy every second of this one.
I love how this author writes to where you don't want the book to end and you read it so fast you don't put it down. I love how everyone in the first generation is always incorporated into the second generations books. This book is about second chances with your first love and hoe you can overcome your choices you make and the life you have. Ruf and Jovi are the best couple. I can't wait to read the next one. I also love the whole bon jovi reference and how Did calls her Bonbon.
3.8 I rounded up for this one. I love how Joni recognized he wasn’t ready for what she wanted. However they were just 18. The part that bothers me the most is he moved on quick. At the tree carving he said he didn’t that at the one year break up mark and Kida was on the way. Knowing he moved on without me would have hurt too much. The fact that they both still loved each other but were with others always bothers me. Even if her ex became an ass why start a relationship knowing you’ ll never love them. They very well may sense that eventually.

Love Ruf & Jovi story. It was funny, quirky, & had steam all wrapped in one. I’m usually not a fan of previous couple getting back together. I really dislike them but this one pleasantly surprised me. The whole book from start to finish flowed beautifully.
It told both Jovi & Ruf journey individually how they got to where they are now & how they reconnected. Who could not love Koda! I just want to pinch his cheeks. That boy boy deserved Jovi as his mom. Can’t wait for more Rojo 2nd Generation books.
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty good book. I enjoyed pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, integrity, being yourself, falling in love, and also coming back to the one that got away. I enjoyed Ruf and Jovi story. I think the author did a great job with putting these characters together. I really believe that they came back together at a trying time in both of their lives. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Love all of Cee's work. She pulls you in instantly to Rojo. Love the story of Ruf and Jovi getting their second chance. With a dash of Koda's antics, that kid makes me love him and want to hog tie him all at once! My favorite until the next one. Take a chance on this one, if it's your first one of Cee's go back to the beginning and read them all. Love how all the stories intertwine so you get glimpses of past characters and their stories too.
This book was everything, young love found again years later, Ruf and Jovi got the love and family they so desperately deserved, throw in Koda,Scoot,Stashe,Lettuce and all their families and you have the best generation book in this series ( so far) Cee definitely knocked it out of the park with this one but then is that really surprising from this amazing author. Highly recommend this author and series and all of her other series as well🖤❤️
Ruf and Jovi story. I love this story. Koda is the wild child belonging to Ruf and he is such a smart and funny little guy that keeps everyone laughing. Written by my favorite author. If you haven't read bee Bowerman books before I highly recommend you go back to where it started with the Knights series and follow her reading order. Her books are highly entertaining with all the drama, smex , and humor. ENJOY!!!!!
As always, I laughed, cried, felt anger, relief, joy, all the feels. The only thing I was missing was…SPOILER AHEAD…
We weren’t invited to lunch with the ladies when Jovi defended Koda and Scoot! I was really looking forward to that! Koda reminds me of my own sweet, misunderstood “monster”, my grandson who is also 6. I would love to see a bonus chapter in the near future! 😉
So beyond obsessed with Ruf & Jovi. Koda has to be one of my favorite kids in a book in a long time. Cee Bowerman does it again. 5/5 ⭐️
“Just to be a dick, I said, “But Uncle Dot called and said he was going to start . . .” “Like hell he is,” Dad barked as he reached down into the carrier and carefully pulled Star out. He nestled her against his chest, and when his beard tickled her face and made her squirm, he patted her back gently. “He can get his own, dammit. I’ll be in the office.”
This is Ruf and Jovi’s story. They loved each other since they were teenagers. She broke up with him when he made plans for a road trip without consulting her. She made plans , he was spontaneous. Years later they got back together after some drama and self doubt, on her side. They finally admitted they still loved each other so they got their HEA.
This book was booked for However I think every single book that C. bowman has ever written was absolutely fabulous. This 1 was a joy to behold. It was funny the characters well written and plenty happened I love her books please enjoy this 1 was Lonestar terrace book 4 roho second generation lone star terrace lot of words in it but I have enjoyed the whole series so start from the beginning and let yourself begin to enjoy.
Koda broke my heart in book 3 when Scoot got a mom before he did, but the wait was worth Jovi! She is so wonderful and relaxed! Thank you, Cee, for bringing back Terra and Kales' history of dancing in the rain! I can't describe how much I absolutely loved this story!!!!!
Loved the story of Ruf and Jovi as they reconnect after several years apart. Koda is his usual wild no ass sweet crazy self and with a new baby sister - Star- added!! Cee Bowerman has done it again with an over the top love story that touches the heart so much. ❤️❤️
I have to say Cee did it again another great read. I have to say I was happy with the way they ended up together. I was glad to see her stand up for herself. And I love the way Cee told the whole story. I have to say Cee did a great job of telling Ruf story can not wait to see what happens next.
Absolutely loved everything about this book. It not only shows several strong topics such as domestic abuse and the battle to move on but we see the rewards when you let go and tryst again. Koda was amazing and stole the show a few times. I loved seeing Kale and Terra again.
