Amy Abrams doesn’t do love. Nor does she do emotional attachments, unless you count the connection she has with designer handbags. She grew up in an Upper East Side penthouse, which had about as much affection within its tastefully decorated walls as Castle Dracula. Her family is the precise reason why she points her red-soled heels firmly in the opposite direction of that dreaded four-letter word.
Then it happens. Love. It comes right out of the blue and knocks her off her six-inch heels. She learns that love comes with pesky side effects such as heartbreak, which seriously messes with the complexion. Amy promises herself that she’ll never open herself to that horrible feeling again. She doesn’t count on an infuriating, albeit drool-worthy biker to roar into her life and ruin the plans she had of locking up her heart. She keeps her distance, wary of the sinfully sexy biker whose tattoos should read Warning - dangerous alpha male, will screw up your life.
Amy may be an Upper East Side princess but she wasn’t looking for Prince Charming. She wouldn’t mind the name of his hair stylist, though. Brock certainly isn’t a knight in shining armor, but he consumes her, body and soul. Drama pulls them apart; danger will bring them back together. When Amy is threatened Brock is there ready to save her life. Her heart is another story.
Anne Malcom has been an avid reader since before she can remember, her mother responsible for her book addiction. It started with magical journeys into the world of Hogwarts and Middle Earth, then as she grew up her reading tastes grew with her. Her obsession with books and romance novels in particular gave Anne the opportunity to find another passion, writing. Finding writing about alpha males and happily ever afters more fun than reading about them, Anne is not about to stop any time soon.

★Review★
I am going to start by saying that, as soon as I saw the cover for this book, I thought, given what I know of the characters, I have never seen a more perfect cover for a book.
Secondly, and this is going to be quite spoilery, if you have not read the first book, I did worry, given what happened in book 1, when we were unsure of just what her ultimate decision between Ian and Brock was, coming into this book, I was nervous that I would not feel like Brock was actually first choice. However, that DID NOT happen. It was Brock all the way.
Yet, despite me almost begging the author, yes, it still remains true about Ian! (I was always Team Brock btw, but had almost had it in my head Ian would go off and set up his security team and find love and you know start a whole new series about hot security guys) Ian still remains the one of the biggest upsets I have read in a long time.
However, I really enjoyed Amy and Brock's story. I love Amy as a character, she is great fun, and is just who she is, with no apologies. And, a rarity in romance land (it seems), she is 25 and not a virgin!! I know let me give you a moment to lift your jaw back from the floor.....in fact, she quite likes sex thank you very much and feels no need to act all coy about it.
And Brock, tbh, I felt like we did not get to know him too much in the book, his history etc, but what I knew I loved. And, once the story in present day took off, and he got her back, he was ALL about Amy.
A few things that I found frustrating. I am not a huge fan of a book starting in present day and skipping back in time. Now, given the nature of the relationship in this book, and what had happened in book 1, I do understand the need for it, to go back and see things in the view of the main characters, things that we sort of knew from book 1 but from the POV of others, but for me, it just went on bit too long, almost 50% of the book and I felt like I was waiting for the actual story to begin. But as I say, am not a huge fan of "flashbacks"
Also, although not central to this story, it is still an MC series, and did I miss what happened to Steg, and how Cade became the President?? I did wonder if Steg had died off page after the end of book 1, but no he made an appearance, so I do sort of want to know what happened there.
BUT, I CANNOT wait for the next in the series. Hope it is Bull, no wait, Lucky.....erm no, Bull...argh, I do not care, I love them both.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
The novel delivers a satisfying mix of romance, humor, and suspense... and a lot of messiness in relationship dynamic between two love interests.
With a captivating blend of glamour and grit, this book is perfect for fans of opposites-attract romances with a side of danger. If you love strong heroines, brooding bikers, and a love story that keeps you on edge, this one’s for you.
*re-read After reading book one I knew I had found something special in this new author, and I knew her books that followed would blow me away, and all I can say is I was not wrong. Anne Malcolm blew me away with this book, it had everything I love in a romance funny, heartbreak, a great hero and heroine and an amazing storyline. In book one we met Amy and Brock and we also met and learned about Ian Amy’s first love, after reading this I couldn’t wait for their full story.
Amy loved Ian but he broke her heart and It took a lot to move on and even more to open herself up again for fear of heartbreak but when Brock came storming into her life there was something about him that called to Amy and with his stubbornness and determination he convinced Amy to do just that. Then Ian came back and wanted Amy back but tragedy struck and though Amy was heartbroken everyone else had made up their own minds about what Amy was feeling. After everything that happens Amy decided to take a step back and tried to push Brock away but the fire between Brock and Amy wasn’t something that comes around often.
When the unthinkable happens Brock comes to Amy’s rescue and Amy and Brock know that what they have in each other is something they can’t live without. But evil is never too far away threatening to take away the future they both want so badly with a love that is all consuming Amy will have to decide if giving her heart to Brock fully is something she is brave enough to do.
I loved this book from page one I was hooked. Amy is so funny and stubborn and strong and so loving and caring. Brock is hot, plain and simple but this guy knows what he wants and loves so deeply and strongly. He is possessive and jealous and demanding. He is just what Amy needs and will do anything for her not only to keep her safe but also to make her happy. I loved the glimpse into Gwen and Cade’s life and I loved catching up on them. After reading this book the list of books and characters I want Ms. Malcolm to write has just gotten longer.
This is an amazing series that I will be following for a long, long time to come. The growth I see in this book is just another reason I love this author and can’t wait for more. The world Anne created is so real and the story’s she creates are ones you want to visit over and over again. I have a small list of books, and authors that I have to read whatever they write and Anne Malcolm is right on that list and I don’t see her ever being removed from that list. In short if she writes it I want to read it. I love MC books but with any genre that gets very popular when more and more authors write about one genre we unfortunately get more that is just not good or that just doesn’t work for you. But on the other hand you sometimes find great authors that stand out and make magic when they write and that is what Anne Malcolm has created in this series.
I liked this one a bit more than the first one, but it was still pretty typical. The heroine had moments when she was annoying, the hero had moments when he was too much of an as*, but all in all an ok MC book.
I love Brock & Amy.... This is my favorite book by Anne Malcom. The passion between these beautiful characters is something that will stick with me for a long time. Amy is one of the strongest heroines I've ever read. Brock is a badass... And they balance each other SO. WELL. There was a fantastic balance of passion, drama, suspense, humor.... You name it, it was there. I definitely, highly recommend this book!
Most of what I wrote for the first book in this series holds true for this one as well! Except instead of sex and the city insert gossip girl this time around. The "Ian" plot device was a shabby one, imo, because it was executed in such a sloppy manner that made the wholeness thing silly in the bigger picture. Yawn again.
This book crossed all the boundaries of what I usually done like in a book and I still managed to love it! Love triangle and a drama llama ding dong 😂😂 but I was totally here for it, lol. Totally invested in these characters ❤. I think the reason I could handle the drama was because the power wasn't uneven. Typically, the hero is causing the drama with some OW and the heroine is sad. This was equal opportunity torturing, lol. I do feel like there could have been a bit more relationship development, since so much of their time was so contentious. It was good it just could have been more. Enjoying the series and can't wait to read the next one. You can already see a lot of progression in her writing, just from the first to second book.
I enjoyed Firestorm. It was one of those books that was hard to put down. What I like most about this series is the characters. I would have rated it higher if the heroine didn't push the hero away so much. I understand why she did but I personally prefer a little less push and pull. Overall a really good hot biker romance. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.
HEA Yes Cheating/OW Well technically safe from cheating. The H & h are on and off for most of the book and are not in a committed relationship until much later in the story. h hooks up with her ex who she use to love. It is so hard to explain without giving too much away. So a few safety triggers. Angst Level: Medium to High Heat Level: High
I received an ebook of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Anne Malcom!
I thought I loved Cade and Gwen's story, but I think this one has surpassed theirs. This book is Amy's complicated love life, and when I say complicated, I mean super duper complicated.
I don't even know where to start with this book. I like how Malcom went back and forth in time throughout the book. It gave us a background on Amy's perspective, and also told us what was happening in the present.
I love how sassy Amy is. Like, she freaking hilarious. I want her as a best friend. For real. She's witty, sarcastic, and a complete badass! On top of all that, she's got a killer taste in fashion... and men!
I really liked how Malcom went back in time and explore both her relationship with Ian and Brock. I felt as though looking at how she was with Ian provided us with more insight for the story and Amy's future.
Malcom is a smart and skilled author, and I can't wait to continue this series!
4 amazing stars!!! I love it!! Brock, is a alpha caveman with a sweet side but also a badass.. and Amy she is a very very strong female. There was a lot passion, drama, suspense, humour!!
This is the second book in the ‘Sons of Templar MC’ series and the second book that I have read from this writer. After enjoying the first book in this series I really wanted to read more books of this writer.
For people who read the first book, they met Amy and Brock already. In ‘Making the cut’ we could see little bits of their interaction with each other but that was it. Just little bits, as a reader you just knew that there was much, much more to the story!! So I was really curious for their story.
If someone would have told Amy some years ago that she would be an owner of a clothes shop in a small town, she would have never believed it. But then her life changed a lot since she met her best friend Gwen. Now, her best friend is married to Cabe (the president of Sons of Templar MC club) and she’s a mother of a beautiful daughter. Amy is very happy for her best friend but she, herself is struggling with her own heart and mind. Amy never believed in love until she felt in love with her best friend’s brother Ian but he broke her heart. Now there’s someone else that wants her, the sexy, alpha man and rough biker Brock. But Amy is stubborn, she is determined to never give her heart away again. Just having hot sex with him, she can do but love, no that makes her run away from him. But then Amy gets kidnapped by a very dangerous man. A man that will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Can Brock save her on time? And if so, will Amy stop running from him?? Or was it never meant to be between them??
This story is told from Amy’s POV, which means that Brock is a bit of a mystery in the book. We do get to learn his feelings and thoughts but only when Amy discovers them. When I started this book I had my ideas about it and I wasn’t sure that I would like it as much as the first book, simply because Amy was in love with two men (that was the conclusion I had after finishing book one) but the writer did a great job of convincing me that life and love isn’t as easy as that. Amy is classy but also feisty, wild, stubborn and very loyal. She’s very weary of love and Brock has his hands full with her but he is the perfect guy for her. In the story we again had some suspense, some danger, many alpha men and emotional scenes. I’m really happy that I discovered this writer and this series. Because it was just what I was looking for. A good MC story, nothing dark but with a little suspense and a lot of hot alpha men!
What can I say that I haven’t already said about this MC series? It was amazing, like always. I loved Amy in Making the Cut. She had that “give no crap” attitude that I absolutely love. This book was full of hilarious and snarky replies. I loved how much she got on Brock’s nerves. I kinda felt bad for the dude, but, that’s love right? Lol Why do Anne Malcom’s book always make me cry?? There was this one particular scene where Amy had to read a letter from the dead and it completely broke me. I mean, how Amy was in her car crying hysterically, I was at home doing the same. It was beautiful to see the different kind of loves you can have in your life. Anne showed that perfectly. Brock... Brock, Brock, Brock. I want a surfer looking biker with a sexy man bun. That man had me panting quite a few times. Like Cade, Brock is all alpha... in every aspect! Can’t wait to start the next book and read ALL ABOUT THAT BULL!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Full of the great characters I have come to expect from Anne Malcom and this one had the addition of some tears. Amy and Brock's love story is not a smooth one but it is definitely worth it. Highly recommend this book
I enjoyed this book probably more than the first. The H, Brock, was as good as Cade in the first book. As with the first book, I think it will easily be a 4 star read but then the h’s immaturity rears it’s ugly head. Please girls grow up!
Another great read, and this one was better than the first. I couldn't put it down. But I needed a lot of Kleenex every time Ian was mentioned!! Can't wait for the next one...this series rocks!
This was such an emotional read, as I knew it would be. I shed buckets of tears... but also had a lot of laughs. I am so in love with these characters. I feel so connected to them all and I can’t wait to read each of their stories!
My favorite in the series. I am so fond of heroines who are quirky and girlie-girl. This one has it. Reading her thoughts is so entertaining. Funny spitfire that she is, I’m laughing my ass of everytime she opens her mouth. Damn this book lightened my day.
Witty, sarcastic, funny, sexy and heart-poundingly beautiful are a few words I would use to describe this book.
Holy shit, I was about to be sold to a sex slavery ring? My dad was not Liam Neeson; my chances of him rescuing me were slim to no..." That line had me chuckling. This book is so refreshing. Although it's an mc this book would easily be loved by any contemporary romance reader.
The love in this book is beyond beautiful.
I was resigned to the fact I'd have to live without breathing. Without oxygen. I was willing to give you every last drop of my blood if it meant the world wouldn't lose you." It's not a vamp book don't worry.
Okay, so this says it can be read as a stand alone. I read Making The Cut first. I picked it up one day for free and it's also on kindle unlimited. I'll tell you as soon as I got the request to review this book, I was all Shut The Front Door, I just read Making The Cut and it was soooooo good. I might've squealed too. I loved Making The Cut. It got a little lengthy for me at the end, but the storyline is fantastic. I think you should read Making The Cut first and you might be a bit confused without it.
Making The Cut is Gwen's story and this is her bestfriend Amy's story. Amy and Brock-oh boy, what a doozy of a story.
Brock= hot brooding biker tats beautiful man bun hard to everyone, but his woman
This book had everything I love. It's funny, heartbreak, a great Hero/heroine and with an amazing storyline. We met Amy and Brock in book 1 where we first learned about Ian, Amy’s first love had broke her heart.
It took awhile before Amy was able to move on and even more to open herself up again. That is when Brock charging into her life like a raging bull!! There was something about him that caught Amy's attention. Brock is stubbornness and his determination to get Amy to his. Then Ian came back and he wanted Amy back but then tragedy hits. Amy was heartbroken yet again. After everything that happens Amy decided to take a step back and tried to push Brock away but Brock is not letting Amy go without fight. He is very possessive and also jealous. Just the way I like it ;). Amy will have to decide if giving her heart to Brock fully is something she is brave enough to do.
Brock came to Amy’s rescue and without a doubt they knew that they can't live without one another. But something bad is just around the corner threatening to take away their chance of love.
I love this series and I will continue to reading this series :).
Amy and Brock were introduced in the first book and I was looking forward to reading how their relationship was resolved. This book can be read as a standalone but the previous books give a lot of rich detail regarding their initial meeting and the conflict they were facing. Amy, the socialite and rich girl, experienced some terrible things in her life that not even her best friend was aware of. She’s kicked Brock to the curb more than once but he keeps coming back because of the magnetic pull between them. We see Amy finally realize she can stop running and Brock will protect her always. Great love story with the right amount of angst, suspense, romance and rich characters who will pull you right in.
Menuda sorpresa.
Firestorm Sons of Templar MC 2 Anne Malcom 5 stars
Amy and Brock! YAY! This is a great story and continuation of this series. Now these can be read as standalones but I don't recommend it. You should know Cade and Gwen's story in order to appreciate Ian, Gwen, Brock and Amy. The two girls are excellent characters. I love Rosie and Luke as well. Something there maybe?
So if you read the first book you know the turmoil with Amy. We are picking up where we left her and also filling in bits and pieces that were not in Gwen and Cades book. This book partially takes place at the same time as the other book. Its excellent because you would be wondering in Making The Cut what took place with Amy in some specific situations and you get that here.
Amy is trying to move on but finds herself in a situation caused by her father. Her parents see her as a disappointment and Amy working to please them; never going to happen. Determined to not let this man get the best of her she uses her sass towards the wrong people and pays the price.
Gwen realizes that something is wrong because Amy would never lie to her of all people concerning her whereabouts. After a call comes from Amy's uncle Brock and the boys jump into action hoping to save Amy from a wicked man.
This is a great story with just enormous heartbreak. Amy is fighting not only her parents but also herself plagued with guilt. I found Brock and she to be such fantastically written characters and so real at times. I love this one and I'm so glad it showed up on my Kindle. As always I cant wait for the next. There are so many more family members to get to!
Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
Firestorm is the second book in the Sons of Templar MC Series. It tells the story of Amy and Brock, their story is one of many up and downs.
Their banter is hilarious and chemistry is off the charts. Brock from the get go knows what he wants and gives Amy her space at times when she needs it. When the unthinkable happens Brock comes to Amy’s rescue without question.
“You growing up to be who you are is like a flower growing through a crack in the sidewalk.”
I loved this book and from the first page I was hooked. Amy is hilariously funny, strong, and very loving. She comes across sassy and is very stubborn. In the end of the day she will thrown down for the people she loves. Brock and Amy's relationship is such a struggle and at times your not sure if they can get past the dark. This story is told from Amy’s POV and Although I loved it, I would have loved hearing from Brock's POV as well. Anne also knows how to have the perfect secondary characters. I loved this in fact I think it makes the book ten times better.
If you love MC suspense this book is for you! I will be diving into the third book in this series as soon as I can. All Anne's books are on Kindle Unlimited which is great.
I enjoyed FIRE STORM once I got into it anyway. The beginning of the book had quite a bit about Amy's best friend Gwen and previous events and I just wanted to get stuck Into Amy's story.
Once the plots focus was mainly on Amy I thoroughly enjoyed it. Amy was a spitfire, I liked her and as soon as Brock the possesive biker was on the scene it really heated up.
There's a bit of a love triangle In this book but no cheating. Amy had a relationship with Gwen's brother Ian who let her go while he was still serving in the forces leaving her with a broken heart and feelings of rejection.
When Brock staked his claim on her, Amy was too adamant not to be broken again and so the push and pull began which made it exciting, Amy was falling for Brock but confused over her feelings, she was still in love with Ian but there was more fire with Brock and that scared her, and believe me not much scared this fiery red headed woman.
A book filled with hot sexual tension, action, kidnappings, danger, angst, I couldn't put it down.
I don't think you can read as a standalone, previous events are intermingled in this story so I would suggest reading Gwen and Cade's story first.
There are some great likeable side characters, this is a family MC and I am definitely looking forward to reading more in this series.
