This is absolutely a Morgan Brice fan's dream come true...Christmas and birthday and every other holiday all rolled into one exceptional book. Instead of one story with the same characters, this wonderful "gift" to all Morgan Brice fans is four short, individual 5 or 6-chapter stories, each featuring the couples from her four full-length series. If you are a "dyed in the wool" fan of her hot guys as I am, you will want to spend time visiting with each of them as they travel to visit "an ancient, haunted castle and a quirky English village".

We are reunited with Teag Logan and his fiancé, Anthony Benton from the South Carolina series Deadly Curiosities Ben and Erik from the Cape May, New Jersey series, Treasure Trails, my all-time favorite of them all, from Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Simon Kincaid and his fiancé, Detective Vic D'Amato from the Badlands and the Witchbane series, and last but not least, Dawson and Grady King from the Kings Of The Mountain series.

In their individual stories all of the couples take holiday vacations to England's Caynham Castle and while there they do what they do best...yes...hot romance galore...but also, they help trapped spirits find peace, send evil ones on to their "just rewards", while each couple hopes that they will survive to share a well-earned future together.

Morgan Brice fans will NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE! Best $20.00 I ever spent.

i have finally read all the stories in this anthology. i have reviewed 3 of the stories in the origional Castle Caynam anthologies. I finally got to read Fae-ted Mates. Since i read it as a stand alone story, i decided to review it here, becuase I love all the castle stories!

I am not terribably familiar with the Kings of the Mountain and this story tells me that this is a grevious error i must rectify immediatly! This was a wonderful story that was a cross between Sleeping Beauty and ancient Irish fairy tale. I have absolute faith Morgan Brice will give me a happy ending and it will all work out, but I was on the edge of my seat, glued to the page. there was the perfect tension, that even though a HEA is practically guarenteed, i still wasn't sure. and the solution... the absolute need for consent. that had me tearing up. i have a need for more Grady and Dawson!

**********Contains Spoilers***********

I rated this collection 4.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 5 stars. I’m new to Gail Z Martin/Morgan Brice’s work and I’m looking forward to reading more. Each novella in this collection has been reviewed separately. Good collection of novellas that feature four different couples vacationing at the ancient and haunted, Caynham Castle.

Crewel Fate - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed this novella which is set in Gail Z Martin’s Deadly Curiosities Series. I haven’t read that series yet, so the characters/world are new to me but I could still follow along on how this world works and get a feeling of the characters without reading it. I enjoyed meeting Anthony and Teag and thought that they make a great team solving the mystery surrounding Lillian and Mabel Mortimer’s spirits while on vacation at Caynham Castle celebrating their engagement. Even though Teag is the one with abilities Anthony is more than happy to be with him while he works his magic and assist where he can. I’m looking forward to reading the Deadly Curiosities Series after reading this novella and getting an introduction into this magical world that Gail has created.

Secrets and Ciphers - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed this novella which is set in Morgan Brice’s Treasure Trail Series. I haven’t read that series yet, so the characters/world are new to me but I could still follow along on how this world works and get a feeling of the characters without reading it. I enjoyed meeting Ben and Erik and thought that they make an awesome team while stumbling across and solving the 700-hundred mystery relating to the Knight Templars while taking vacation at Caynham Castle for Halloween. I’m looking forward to reading the Treasure Trail Series after reading this novella and getting an introduction into this magical world that Morgan has created.

Memory and Malice - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed this novella which is set in Morgan Brice’s Badlands Series. I’ve only read Thunder Road from that series, so I at least have met the characters and have a rough idea how this world works. I enjoyed getting more of Simon and Vic and thought that they make a great team trying to locate the man possessed by a malicious spirit with a Centuries old grudge and stop his plans to harm the Earl while spending time at Caynham Castle during the Christmas holidays. Even though Simon is the one with abilities Vic uses the skills he’s honed over years working as a homicide detective to help. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the Badlands Series after reading Thunder Road, as well as this novella and getting an introduction into this magical world that Morgan has created.

Fae-ted Mates - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed this novella which is set in Morgan Brice’s King’s of the Mountain Series. I haven’t read that series yet, so the characters/world are new to me but I could still follow along on how this world works and get a feeling of the characters without reading it. I enjoyed meeting Dawson and Grady, while on their honeymoon at Caynham Castle they have one piece of family business to attend too, they have to uphold the generations long agreement with the Welsh Fae. While they’re creating their offering to bring the fae their ancestors formed the agreement with they’re attacked by a shuck and Grady is injured. Dawson has to make some extremely risky decisions in order to save Grady. I’m looking forward to reading the King of the Mountain Series after reading this novella and getting an introduction into this magical world that Morgan has created.

I’m looking forward reading more books from Gail Z Martin/Morgan Brice in the future. I’d definitely recommend this collection, each novella and author to everyone.

Four MM paranormal mystery short stories from this author's various series. I was familiar with the "Badlands" series, and through that series had briefly heard of the couple in the "Deadly Curiosity" series.
I am eager to check out all of these series now that I have had a taste of them in this collection.
Each of the stories takes place in an English castle owned by an earl who had worked in the past with one of the guys in the "Deadly Curiosities" series. The final story from the "Kings of the Mountain" series differs in some ways from the others, in that more of the action takes place outside the castle, the couple have a mission to complete instead of merely being on vacation, and the trouble this time is with the Fae instead of the ghosts that haunt the other stories.
Typos: In "Secrets and Ciphers" there are two sentence fragments ("The young man asked," "The boy asked"). In "Memory and Malice" there are also two errors. Simon has a vision, but when describing it to others, he lays out a completely different vision. Vic's police partner is called "Russ" twice here, when his name is Ross in the "Badlands" series. In "Fae-ted Mates" someone is "loathe to do something. Loathe is a verb meaning "hate. It is supposed to be "loath," an adjective that does not contain an "e," which means "reluctant." "Earl" is capitalized once when referred to as "the Earl," but all other times he's mentioned he is just "the earl," lowercase.

I had only read one of these stories before which I liked, and I couldn't pass up the anthology that promised more. In this, Caynham Castle is the common point for the intriguing and often deadly mysteries that seem to be waiting for our heroes. It caught my attention, and I was pleased that several of the couples I know starred in it and that the dangers they faced were intriguing and emotionally charged. The way the author handles the paranormal arouses my curiosity, it makes me want to go for more and sometimes I even feel chills. Action, revenants, suspense, mystery, magic, spirits, romance, and passion.

I really enjoy this author’s writing, so I was excited about this anthology even if anthologies don’t excite me. LOL! I absolutely loved getting to see characters I hadn’t seen in a while and remember why I adored them in the first place. If you haven’t read this author before, this is a great way to find out if you’d like to read the full books…and I’m sure you would. These stories are well-written, engaging, interesting, and entertaining. I can’t wait to read more about them. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Four engaging short holiday theme paranormal mystery stories that were entertaining to read. The characters were arresting and the storylines well written. The stories are mostly based about Caynham Castle and its hauntings and history and what occurs when our leading characters are visiting it. I'd enjoyed reading them and was very engaged in this delightful copy I'd received via Hidden Gems and volunteer to review.

This anthology is a delightful collection of four novellas set at Caynham Castle, featuring many of my favorite characters from Morgan Brice's enjoyable series. The descriptions of the castle and its staff are consistent throughout, which I appreciated as I often notice small discrepancies. Each story contains a stand-alone mystery that is solved quickly, making for a satisfying read. I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing another adventure with some of my favorite characters!

All the stories felt like they should have just happened at the same time in one story instead of being spread out I expected better than I got.

Each story on it's own was fine, but the issue with this collection is that every story is so similar that by the last one it was a real struggle to keep reading because I was just bored.

I had read these stories before in the books about Caynham Castle and loved them and was happy to have these stories together. I wish this was a real castle that I could visit.

I did not read the last shortstory in here, it's the kissing cousins, and blood relations or not, they grew up together. Icky as hell and nope. The rest were around 3 stars, I apparently like the shorts better than the novels from this author.
