Cat Thomas is 27 and still a virgin and she feels like she must be the last one alive in River Pointe, New York. She had made a commitment when she was a teenager to wait for marriage but years later she feels it must have been the worst decision ever as the older she gets the bigger a deal it is. Ryder Hawkins is a single dad of a seven-year-old daughter and wants to give her a life she deserves of stability and a loving parent. When Cat meets Ryder she thinks he is just like every other man out there and won't give him the time of day, but he can see she is different and could make him feel whole again. Can he capture her attention, will she give up on her commitment for him, or will he wait for it?
I loved this story which was full of assumptions, missteps and trust issues. I feel that Cat made it a much bigger deal than it needed to be and that was why she was sabotaging her own relationships - however, Ryder was obviously the one as he was determined that nothing would stop him and Cat from having a chance. I liked the clear writing style and that she gave a good level of detail when extra information was needed. I loved the relationship between Cat and Ryder's daughter. Easy to read and understand. Just a little mature content.

This is one of those books that you are pretty sure where it’s going but, leads you along through twists & turns to get you there! Cat a young woman of 27 meets Ryder. Ryder has a 7 year old daughter who is good friends with her best friends daughter! Of course, they meet & there is a lot of chemistry! But, she has a secret & she doesn’t know what happened to his marriage? There I haven’t given anything away & I definitely recommend this book!

A happily ever after that it almost like a fairy tale, with a bit of sauce on the side!!

Great Book. Love this author
Loved this book, but not as much as the Big and Beautiful Series. I didn’t want that series to end EVER! Thank you Mary!

This book was amazing. It was refreshing to read a story that didn't have explicit sexual encounters on every 5th page (not that I don't mind a good love scene). I really enjoyed Ryder's pursuit of Cat without all the aggressive tactics. Cat is an admirable character who stays true to her feelings and beliefs about "sex before marriage." Ryder doesn't make it easy at all. The man is H-O-T!!!
Overall, this is story is a great start to this series and I can't wait to read the next story.

So very happy I found this author! Every book I read of her's is just amazing. I know this is just a story but it is proof that if you wait long enough the best things in life can happen!

What an awesome romance. Cat was so afraid to take a chance on Ryder after being hurt so many times. Ryder was a great guy, sweet and kind. The perfect match for Cat.
