This guide is intended for the Human Anatomy and Physiology student as they study the processes of growth and development. We begin with conception of the zygote, develop though the morula and blastocyst phases, implant and form a placenta and then talk about tissue and organ system development. We also talk about changes that are occurring in mom and the infant before, during and after delivery. The “A” student would locate the worksheet provide in Chapter 1 and attempt to answer the questions. If you get stumped, just flip to that section throughout the remaining chapters for the answers with some helpful hints.
