Alaska Floatplane

Rate this book
These stories, mostly true, contain the art, science and romance of the float plane. These are memoirs of an air taxi aircraft and a doctor with a love of the art. The place is the Lower Cook Inlet. What follows paints much of the color and mood of Alaska aviation. The visitor and the uninitiated may enjoy some detail of the how and why of operation and a bit of hanger flying with the old time pilots.
If you are so inclined, these pages may be useful as a handbook of safety and sub-arctic survival for both pilot and adventurer. Included too, you may find a few examples of what not to do --- and a bit of dreaming.
