Oh boy, I’m certainly loathing the king right along with Giselle😠 After not seeing him for a month he rocks up with the one person Giselle never wanted to see again. But it gets worse…sooooo much worse and now she has to live in the same house as him😭
I need to know what happens next…only a couple more books until we learn everything and hopefully get an HEA❣️ I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️🩹
This book is nothing but porn in a book. That's all Carlo, Giselle, did. Then came Stassia, again and then it was an all out fuck fest. What a waste of a story. Nothing at all happened but sex after sex with them three. Then poor sweet Stefan, stopped by to apologize to Giselle, for sleeping with the nanny,. They made up and of course started having sex, right in the middle of the act, Carlo, entered the bedroom, and caught them. In a fit of jealous rage, he started yelling at Stefan, and threw him down the stairs! His own baby brother, he almost killed him. And stupid Giselle, screamed and ran to Stefan. When she noticed that he, was alright and Stefan, told his brother, that they were done being brothers and left the house for good broken heated. She then went back to Carlo, and act like Stefan doesn't matter at all. It's like she totally forgot about him. Not once did she mentioned or worry about him. Now Carlo, is having sex with bother Giselle and Stassia, at the same time in different rooms, to see which one can get pregnant with his heir, first. What bullshit this is. The only good thing about this book is Asher, Eve's baby brother,. And when he went to find Giselle, when she left(ran away) with her baby daughter, and he went to find them. Now finally at the end the big cliffhanger, with Sergio😮😯😝😭
Loathing the King is the fifteenth book The Sovrano Crime Family series by Jessa York who delivered a heady cocktail of danger, desire, and deliciously dark family drama. Binging the series was oh so easy when each book pulled me deeper into a world where loyalty was currency, love was a gamble, and power came at a price. The characters were definitely magnetic- somewhat flawed and yet irresistible – all the while the pacing kept me hooked in a late-night binge I kept swearing I would stop after ‘just one more chapter’. #sleepisoverratedanyway So, if you love your romance with a side of high-stakes intrigue and a dash of mafia heat, then this series delivers in spades. It’s addictive and steamy, with just the right amount of ruthless .… A guilty pleasure you won’t feel guilty about. Happy Reading…
Story is always engaging when the villain gets the good character. This book section is twisted though. Giselle cooks up a crazy plan then doesn’t like result but endures until she has to admit her feelings then she becomes so desperate for Carlo, she willing to put up with anything. Carlo chooses to have sex with both women and see who gives him a son first. Twisted!!
This book broke my heart into a million little pieces for Giselle. Carlos really put her through a lot in this book just to make a point to her. I don’t know how she didn’t go completely crazy. By the end of the book they seemed to start to get things worked out a bit but then Giselle’s gets a surprise that would hurt her horribly and put both her and Dani into a lot of danger.
Disheartening! This is where the series takes a huge turn with Giselle's and Carlo's love story. This starts just becoming a huge dark narcissistic crazy obsession and situation. How, can Carlo just do this! Giselle's heart is broken beyond measure, but still beats for Carlo in a crazy overpowered situation. She just can't go nowhere. This for me what one of the hardest to read!
Disappointed, the characters do not evolve sadly. The story line should be adventurous but alas just repeating same storyline. Nothing changes....... Not worth money paid for 17 kindle stories Time spent reading this garbage I will never get back.
I honestly have so many mixed emotions with this book. I wanted to throw my device so many times and yell at both Carlo and Giselle that I was stressed out. Yes, Ms. York received a couple of messages asking her if she enjoys torturing her readers and all she did was laugh. This installment of the Savrano Crime Family series was gut-wrenching, full of angst, anger and steamy. Loathing the King is the perfect title for this one because I loath Carlo and Giselle. I know why they did what they did but all I wanted to do was reach into my device and give them both a shake and yell at them why are they acting like complete jerks. I'm not sure what to expect in the next installment but boy oh boy I hope they get their heads out of their butts. Well done Ms. York.
Carlo is up to his old tricks, bringing Stassia back with him from Italy to have his baby. His cruelty has no limits as he refuses to let Giselle and Dani leave; even having Giselle move into the bedroom next door to his so she can hear them at it every night and all different times during the day. I hate Carlo so much right now and if Giselle would have only told him why she ran away, it could have prevented all this heartbreak.
Stassia is a real prize (I am being very sarcastic) smoking cigarettes constantly (I can even imagine her smoking during sex lol!) 😂 The deal Carlo strikes up at the end with both of them mortified me and I can't believe Stassia agrees to it. But the icing on the cake is the cliffy at the end!
Carlo and Giselle are both idiots. But one is far more despicable than the other at this point. One is pathetic, the other is cruel. One wants to leave, while the other refuses to allow it because apparently breaking what’s left of a heart is the way to go. And yet…I’m still here. I have hope. And hearing the truths that spew out of Carlo’s mouth when pushed by another woman tells me that maybe he’s got a shred of redemption left in him. But he’s got to find everyone who’s now disappeared, then find someone who doesn’t want to be found, then free Giselle up in more ways than one to prove that he’s still got something worth loving in him.
Ok this one started right where the last one ended and threw me back to HS. I was ready to throw my hair up and chuck the earrings because Stassia just brought out the Gen X in me. Then Jessa really turned it around and my heart was about to burst with all that Carlo was putting Giselle through. I hope I can survive this ride we are on, because it is intense!
As always when this cliff came barreling toward me, I was useless in falling because the pages just ended and I had no where to go. Now to not so patiently wait for more.
Loathing the King is book fifteen in The Sovrano Crime Family series. My emotions are all over the place with this installment. I am extremely disappointed in Carlo for his horrible actions, you don’t act that way if you truly love someone, and Giselle for letting him get away with it then just doing what he wants in the end. This one tore my heart to shreds and stomped all over it. I hope things take a turn for the better in the next installment. I need book 16 ASAP! Ahhhh! That cliffy has me losing my mind!
This is another chapter in the twisted story of Giselle’s life. It seems really crazy that Stassia is back in their lives! And Giselle is still captive in his estate, and Dani loved her Dada fiercely even though he was away for so long. Anyway, this story has more and more plot twists and gets more complicated every time, but also I just can’t get enough! I can’t put it down!! I need to know what happens next.
I am seriously loathing the king right now and Giselle too. I am not a fan of Carlo at the moment and everything he did in this book and Giselle had zero self respect for herself. I have never wanted to reach through my kindle more while reading a book than I did reading this instalment. Carlo is probably going to get what he wants but now Giselle is really in danger. There was a lot of angst and emotions in this one. Ehh I need book 16 now!
"Loathing the King" (The Sovrano Crime Family Book 15) by Jessa York was a great read. I enjoyed this latest part of Giselle and Carlo's story. This story had romance, passion, drama, twists, and more. I can not wait to read what happens next with these entertaining characters. I highly recommend it to all fans of romance, passion, mafia life, and series.
OMG!! Poor Giselle,I too am upset with Carlo. He won't let her go but doesn't let her leave. She even tries to befriend the one person she despises mpst. Then when everything seems to finally be turning around. BAMMMM Jessa leaves a cliffhanger.
A crazy Maria world but I love it! Carlo is keeping Giselle and Dani “safe”. But he wouldn’t let her go anywhere. They both do love each other. He needs an heir so Stassia is there. And the ending… another cliffhanger… can’t wait to see what Jessa York gives us next!
Omg! Carlo is a mess. I don't know how Giselle did it every night. I would have lost my mind. This series gets better and better. That cliffhanger though. Let me get to book 16 & see what's going to happen.
