The book is short read and can be finished in a single sitting. As the name suggests, there are 150 brilliant ideas that are very useful to the young generation especially we can say teenagers. The author has covered almost all the aspects that can affect the life of teenagers. There are certain advices and certain motivational ideas. The author has divided them into three categories. In first part, there are 50 advices related to body, in second part, there are 50 advices related to mind and in third part, there are 50 advices related to spirit. If we look around in teenagers, they have a complex regarding how they look. About their hairs, face, figure, acne etc. and these things along with the pressure of studies leads to anxiety and depression. So these little tips are useful to the kids as well as their parents also because for parents, it’s really difficult to raise a teenager. If we talk about the book, all the concept are simple so young mind can read and easily interpret. The book is written in simple and easily understandable language so that everyone can enjoy it. I was expecting more the technique part rather than just mentioning concept. Like author should have included examples and exercise that can motivate the reader that would be helpful. Overall good one for teenagers.

Before I make any comment about this book, I want to share with you all that as a mother of two teenagers, I can tell this from my experience that it's not easy to deal with the turmoil, the anxiety that a teenager goes through. It's not easy to come up with a satisfactory answer to their queries and doubts every time. Easy access to technology and an active social media has multiplied to the level of anxiety of a teenager as well as parents.
This book comes as a boon to both parents and the teenage children. The book deals with issues related to mind and body. Best thing is that the book doesn't lay out any dos and don'ts list for young minds which most of the young adults find very annoying. It gives them a food for thought in the form of 150 brilliant ideas relating to body, mind and spirit.
The cover of the book is average which may not appeal to teenagers much. It could have been more attractive. The title is apt as per the content yet there is some scope for innovation.
The language is simple hence every reader will find it comprehensible.
The content could be supported with some examples that could have made it more interesting.
Overall the book is a good read for teenagers and their parents.

Name of the book - 150 Brilliant Ideas To Keep YOUNG MINDS Fit & Fine by Neera Maini Srivastav.
Stars given -5 on 5 stars.
My take on the book-
This is one of those books that makes you take a step back and realize how much good you can do in your life if you just follow a few simple things.
Broadly divided into three parts that book talks about everything, like literally anything and everything under the sun that can make you smile a little longer, find peace very easily.
I had lots of fun reading all the 150 ideas and their little definitions and at times examples.
The language is very simple and very easily understood by everyone.
If you know anyone who needs some quality 'me-time' and is very stressed about life then recommend them this gem of a book.
I really enjoyed it.

"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.” - Stacia Tauscher

Blurb:

In a world with increasing stress, lifestyle imbalance, new age challenges and health hazards, 'wellness' is the new God everyone's seeking. While adults have infinite choices and options to course-correct paths, the young adults, though have increasing incidences of mental and physical health challenges, have little or almost no aids to holistic health and wellness. With increasing juvenile obesity and depression hitting the teens, there is a dire need to address the same. The book is based on addressing just that in a contemporary, light-hearted fashion. Split into 3 sections: Mind, Body and Spirit, the book offers truths in each category that seed the idea of wellness in a fun and engaging way. What better than a ready reckoner for young adults to get by their highly stressful daily lives in a more meaningful, healthier and stimulating manner. A companion of sorts, the book aims at delivering well-being to the troubled young souls.

View:

This book is a complete guide to every youngsters out there. It completely explains everything regarding the practices and habits a child should develop.

This book is divided in three parts: Mind your body, Mind your mind and Mind your spirit. Each sections are further divided in many more topics with which the sections deal with and each of them is explained lucidly, often with some illustrations.

All the points explained in the books are very relatable as we have all been through those things. The way everything is explained make this book a compulsory read for children as well as parents. There are many instances in this book which we often consider very difficult to solve. But there are quite a few easy tricks here and there throughout this book which makes every problem easier to solve for both the youngsters and their parents.

The author also covered the topic of sex which is still considered to be a taboo in most of the places across the country. The ways one can know about sex and easy guide for parents make this book the a very helpful guide for a healthier upbringing of their children and vice-versa.

The language is very lucid and easily understandable for a child as well. The illustrations in the book make this book even more interesting to read and youngsters will also not lose interest in between. Overall this is a great book which will surely help the youngsters as well as their parents.

Rating and Recommendations:

4/5. This is the ultimate guide for both the youngsters and their parents to make each other's life better. It also states the points by which parents can keep their children out of tension and give moral support in the process of their growing and be each other's best friends.

When I was in my adolescent years, there was so many things I knew nothing about that were happening with me and around me and I never knew how I was supposed to deal with these changes that were suddenly happening and affected my life on a daily basis. While reading this book, I could only think how this would've been a perfect guide for me back when I was struggling with my body both physically and mentally.

The authors approach to issues like peer pressure, body positivity, social media and how one should treat themselves and how you can relax your mind and body and lift your spirits up, if only you choose to do right by yourself is explained so effortlessly. It doesn't feel like the book is judging your lifestyle or discouraging you to participate in activities like socializing or eating junk food that pleases you, it simply helps you to see how you can maintain a balance between enjoying your life but also making sure that you don't feel pressurized to do things that you don't want to do.

So many topics were discussed in this book that every teen and even adults who become a victim of wrong influence easily will be able to relate to this book and get inspired to make the right choice and might even be able to see how exactly they suffer from circumstances without even being aware of it.

The way the book was able to cover so many important subject matters is truly commendable. The book is easy to read with narration that's on point and language that is lucid.

Even thought some ideas were refreshing, some were ideas that we've heard about. Sometimes some of them were repeated, written in a different way or with a different a approach.

Relatable, realistic and truly motivational with a composition of ideas that are actually insightful and have a potential of helping people who are in dire need.

This book speaks about self-development and the ways to lead a healthy and happy life. In today’s world we often ignore ourselves in the rush for success. We overstress ourselves affecting the quality of our sleep and eating habits which leads to various health problems. In this book the author speaks about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle which will help us to attain inner peace and physical fitness. The whole book is divided into three sections and a total 150 different topics which imparts important life lessons which everyone needs to hear once in a while may it be a teenager or a young adult. If someone follows these advices religiously it will shape them into a better human being. Most importantly the teenagers need to read these as it will guide them to follow the right steps and not succumb under peer pressure. It will show you how cool it is to practice self love, speak the right words, eat the right food and respect every other human being. The lessons which you will learn from this book are valuable and will stay with you for a lifetime. I really liked the way the author has compiled the book and also the writing style is praiseworthy. In simple words she has put forwards the basic teachings of life which every child needs to know while growing up in this new era where everything seems cool no matter how wrong it is or how bad it sounds. The language used is very simple and easily understandable. According to me everyone should read this no matter how old you are. After waking up in the morning you can pick up this book and read at least one topic and you will see how it changes your day in a good way. It will help children implement these teachings in their lives while the adults will be reminded what they often forget.

Honestly speaking, I'm not that fan of non fiction books but this book is something exceptional. Young minds is a compilation of 150 ideas to keep the youth fit and fine. The whole book is divided into 3 sections viz. Mind your body, Mind your Mind and Mind your spirit. Each section covers a vivid theme and gives fabulous and helpful ideas. Ideas ranging from striking a balance to protecting ourselves from UV rays, personal hygiene, safe sex to adopting a plant, counting our blessings etc.

In a crisp yet minimal language, the author has tried giving us mantra for a happy and healthy life. I personally like that the topics are kept quite short. There's no unnecessary lecture, rather is written in the shortest form possible. The ultimate decision is left upon us to decide and choose.

Sketches included in between the pages keep the interest alive. Books covering such extensive topics are much needed in order to create a healthy and fit India. And for that it is also necessary to educate the teens of the do's and don'ts which the author through this book has done quite effectively.

The cover and the title both are kept simple and thus is appropriate.

I'd recommend this book not only to the teens but also to their parents. Upbringing is the toughest during this phase due to strong hormonal changes and what else could be a better way to make the kids understand their body, mind and soul.

150 Brilliant Ideas to Keep Young Minds Fit and Fine by Neeraa Maini Srivastav

How often have we seen teenagers choosing the wrong option? Them falling prey to depression? Them debating whether a certain topic is worth sharing with parents or not? This is one such book that helps nurse mental health, overall mental fitness and holistic wellness.

I personally am not much into self-help books. However I was attracted to this one and I hoped this book would give me some new ideas that would help me raise my own kid in a better way. Maybe help me parent better. However while the author has compiled great ideas in each of the three sections (Mind, Body and Spirit), I couldn't find anything new! Yes, the author has done a great job compiling the ideas and explaining them, I being a parent couldn't find anything new or something that I was not aware of.

I did like few topics that the author has spoken about like importance of self love, not give in to peer pressure and such. Few topics were very basic that we sometimes overlook. The language is very simple and easy flowing through out the book. However had the author given real life examples, added a few short stories here and there or few practical illustrations, the book may have been more meaningful.

The author has surely approached the topic of holistic wellness in a subtle and realistic manner. Overall, if you are a teenager or a young adult, this book might work positively for you.

Language is simple. It is a quick read because there is no beating around the bush.

Book is divided into three parts: body, mind and spirit. Title is justified Aaj this book has 150 great advices for young one's wellness. Best part about this book is that the advice isn't imposing. It doesn't have black and white rules. Instead, these advices tell the child how to handle the issue.

From vitamin D, sex, being midnight owls, peer pressure, optimism, addiction, social media, patriotism, being eco-friendly, praying, being emotionally intelligent, law of attraction and many more important topics are covered.

Narrative could have been better. Some topics are all too familiar advice that we hear always but I like the way author put up all important issues in one place. There are pretty illustrations which might make the book more likeable to a young mind.

Some ideas must be instilled at a young age so that they won't have regrets and depression later. Life has become so busy and stressful that we stop caring about wellness. Simple thoughts and habits can improve the quality of life. I recommend this book for every child, teen and even the parents.

To begin with the cover is simple. White simple background and colourful title makes the cover catchy. It could have been better and more attractive but overall the cover is good.
The book is divided three major parts called as mind your body, mind your mind and mind your spirit, overall consisting of 150 tips for a fit and fine life. Self-help and self-care books are one of my favourite genres where it helps us to improve ourselves for a better tomorrow. The tips mentioned in this book are very useful. I even implemented some in my own life and obviously I am happy with the results. This tips are mainly for the young adults or the teenagers who basically lost the touch in their lives in their day to day life. This book is like a life coach and tells us about all the do’s and don’ts require for one’s life. This book can be also referred by the parents of a young adult or teenager and hence can use the tips to bring changes in his / her life style.
Overall This book has some many good and life changing tips and following them obviously brings a good change in one’s lives. If you love self-help books or planning to refer one than this book is surely for you.

This Book I’ll say that comes as a surprise package for me... In this book Neera explains the concept of Body , Mind & Spirit especially for the young generation... Language of this book is so simple and interactive that it will bind you to read till end ... It has topics like how to respect elders , how to keep our health & mind healthy .. and best thing I luved about this book how casually and in simple language she discussed about sex which still is a taboo in our society & parents often avoid talking abt it with kids ...This Book is a must read not only for young people but also for parents to understand the concept of young minds .. She amazingly explains the young people of the pros & cons of their decision which ever they take in their life of situation.. She is not telling them to stop doing anything but asking them to analyse & then act ...!!!
Kudos for Neera for such amazing Book ...!!!
Must read ...!!!

👉Cover of the book is very simple and minimal.
👉 Language used in the book is very simple and easy to understand which makes it beginner friendly.
👉Beautiful illustrations present here and there inside the book makes it fun and interesting to read it.
👉 Unlike many other self-help books it is not monotonous and boring rather it is quick and unique.
👉 There are affirmations available at the end of every part to help the reader have a quick review.
👉 Though I felt that some of these ideas were described so briefly that may not connect to the reader.
👍Overall it was a short and light book which I being a teenager myself found it very beneficial.
😚 I will recommend this book to each and every young mind out there and also to their parents.

Review : Some days you just feel lost and demotivated. You simply can't think of anything productive to do but are dying of boredom and fidgeting because you've nothing to do. You're tired even though you haven't done a smidge of useful work. You lack the satisfaction of knowing that you proved useful this day. What do you do then when you run out of ideas? This book has helped me get across such days with a smile on my face by the end of it. Self help books aren't generally my thing but this one was not the usual preachy stuff. It just enlisted the stuff that needs to be done to overcome lethargy. The author said it, I did it and boy, do I feel good!?! The concept is pretty old school and there's nothing fancy but it gives you the extracts of idealism in a no bs sort of way and that's exactly the way to go for me! Writing style is pretty straightforward and lucid.

The book is divided into three parts. Each part has 50 sub divisions that discuss daily life problems and cures. It talks about very normal issues to complicated dilemmas we face daily. Every topic is about cleaning ur mind, body or soul. It addresses every problems a teenager may face.
The book can be treated as pills or medications as one paragraph a day. Its really enlightening and essential for teenagers as well as adults. The topics discussed in this book is very much a trouble that is needed to be resolved this hour. The cover of the book is minimalistic which does justice to the content. The book is very useful and informative.

150 Brilliant Ideas To Keep YOUNG MINDS Fit & Fine is a self-help book which contain 150 stimulating and motivational ideas to empower your personality, make you positive and enhance your intellect.

Structure

The book is divided into three sections based on the three levels of our human-existence─ body mind and spirit. Each section contains 50 ideas/advise/suggestions that would either motivate you or suggest you to do something that ensures your health and happiness and welfare of yours and of earth. Each idea is of average 120-130 words maybe (not accurate calculation) and are very brief, but are to the point. There are illustrations also at every second page and that is really cool and helpful remembering the particular point or idea.

Negative: There are plenty of ideas like 150 and most are like we all know about. The descriptions are so brief, that mostly doesn’t seem to help, not more than title could have served.

Positive: The book is filled with positive and motivational ideas that will just lift your energies. There are very small things addressed that we ignore and seek our attention which is simply best. Like, breathtaking matters, decluttering and maintaining screen time. Illustrations were so interesting and engaging. Thanks to them, that I could read the book with all interest I got.
