KIM WEST, LCSW-C, is a mother of two daughters and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or child and family therapist for 30 years.

Her first book “The Sleep Lady’s Good Night, Sleep Tight” is in its 3 edition and has sold over 140,000 paperback copies and is available in 4 languages. Her upcoming 4th book: "The Sleep Lady's Gentle Newborn Sleep Guide" will be published on March 21, 2023

Dedicated to providing tired parents with excellent sleep advice and coaching while knowing Kim could not help everyone herself, she started the Gentle Sleep Coach® Training and Certification program in 2010--the first and most comprehensive training program in the world. This program was the start to what is now a now a global industry- Baby and Child Sleep Consultants. To date, the Gentle Sleep Coach Training and Certification program is available in 3 languages.

I really wished that I liked this book because I think it probably has a good point, but the way in which it is written I find so painfully hypocritical
I think it’s trying to argue that the definition of “the autonomy of art” is not what it has been said to have been, and propose counter arguments. Maybe I am just not of the reading level to comprehend these grand ideas, but I read every page twice and have a degree in contemporary art, and still feel stumped. What I did manage to gather is that this book is anti elitism in the art world, yet this book itself seems to be an example of what it critiques…
