An exceptional book that brilliantly distills timeless truths we intuitively know but often overlook in today’s fast-paced world. It masterfully brings clarity and perspective, reminding us of values and insights that are essential yet easily forgotten. Engaging, thought-provoking, and deeply resonant, this book feels like a guide to reconnecting with what truly matters. Every page is a revelation, offering practical wisdom that feels both familiar and refreshingly new. A must-read for anyone seeking to slow down, reflect, and find deeper meaning in life.
Found this book by way of Oliver Burkeman's newsletter, he referenced and emphasized the metaphor of moments being like beads placed on a necklace. Some beads are small and nondescript, some are hefty and beautiful, others are intrusive, but each one is singular and takes your full attention. I really liked that.
I also liked other concepts and metaphors within I've Got Time.... It's a practical and accessible guide to naturally engaging the temporal plane.
A sweet look at the perils of time management vs mindfulness. I’ve always thought true mindfulness seemed somehow to shirk or deny our vast responsibilities or commitments. Here a master of zen reconciles the two, giving clear instructions for combining both - being in the moment AND planning, tracking and knowing what most needs our attention.
I've Got Time by Paul Loomans reinforces the use of mindfulness to gain quality and meaningful use of our time, emphasizing approaching everything with a sense of calm. An excellent, short and focused book.
