This I is just what I needed, a relaxing book. What could be more relaxing than sitting around watching a man build a log cabin? I love carpentry, so this book was not boring. And I married a carpenter by trade. When the man or author of this book began looking for hinges to put on his front door, he found none. So he made some out of wood. I thought, what? I asked my husband about it, and he said it would depend on the kind of wood he used. I thought, it would depend on how deep he made the hinges. 6 inches deep sounded good to me. When the man was finished, he was chased by a bear. He ran into his house and closed the door. I wondered if the bear was gonna break down the door, but he wondered if the bear was going to find his big picture window. What? Who in his right mind would make a picture window in a cabin where a moose can ram into it or a bear can just push the window pain out? Well, after building his house, he began taking hikes into the woods and having more fun with bears. He seldom had his rifle with Him, and I question that too.
