A selection from Walking Into the Wind is also included. Many of these poems have not been previously published, of most import-50 by Basho, Japan's most celebrated haiku poet. Cid Corman, born in Boston in 1924, is author of countless books of poems as well as translations from the French, German, Italian, Japanese and other languages. He has lived in Kyoto, Japan for most of the past forty-five years.
