Spring Break turned into my worst nightmare. Drugged and held against my will, the brutality I witness seems too horrible to be real. Unable to escape, unable to do anything other than await my fate, I nearly gave up hope. Then he burst through the door like an avenging angel. My very own angel of death.
I’m a straight-up killer. It’s what I’ve trained for my entire adult life. I got my road name because I’ve put more men in the morgue than all my brothers combined. So when we rescue a group of women being held by human traffickers, I did what I do best. I killed. But not for all the women we rescued. For her. Dorothy. My very own angel of mercy. Now that I have her, I’ll do anything to keep her. I just hope she can accept what I am and not condemn my soul to hell.
Morgue includes scenes of graphic violence and adult situations including those that may be triggers for some readers. There’s also a protective hero, a determined heroine, and an eventual happy ending. No cheating, as always.

Erotic romance author by night, emergency room tech/clerk by day, Marteeka Karland works really hard to drive everyone in her life completely and totally nuts. She has been creating stories from her warped imagination since she was in the third grade. Her love of writing blossomed throughout her teenage years until it developed into the totally unorthodox and irreverent style her English teachers tried hard to rid her of. Dorthy from Kansas has stolen Morgues verbalization skills…lol 🌪️🌪️🌪️😆😆 Love her trust in him, and his patience & protection of her💙 the timeline was surprising😧 🧡Wonderful how the women band together, even Sparkles🐾 I like the series, awful & heartbreaking topics, but great main characters!!!
⚠️Read the Trigger Warnings… Graphic Violence!!!⚠️ Quite the story, those roommates got off waaaaaay to easily (I would have been more “Law Abiding Citizen” tit for tat revenge-punishment for ALL those POS who SOLD HER!!! 😡)
2things…1-so, what were their tattoo designs??? 2-so many questions about how does it wrap up for her? Her & the roommates just “disappeared” now, so does she get new ID? Fake ID? Does she finish her “online schooling” from the MC place???? Does Wylde make everything ok for her and no one is the wiser?.. Etc… Felt not completely finished/wrapped-up to me…😐
Morgue never expected to connect with a woman. He barely connects with his brothers. But then he rescues Dorothy. Dorothy touches a part of him he never knew he had. Now that she is safe can he keep her? Morgue is the latest in Marteeka Karland's Iron Tzars MC series. I enjoyed getting to know Morgue. He is unapologetic but something about Dorothy calls to him. I loved seeing he fiercely protective one minute and completely clueless the next. I adored that he gave Dorothy a safe harbor even as he wormed his way into her heart. I love seeing Dorothy accept the hits but refuse to let it beat and define her. This was a wonderful quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait to see where Ms. Karland will take us next.
“One thing I knew for sure, Morgue would be at my side, with Morgue, I could survive anything” this stuck, as it shows Dorothy’s tenacity and strength in dark times and Morgues stickability and strength for both of them.
This is the 11th book in the Iron Tzars MC series, and is Dorothy and Morgues book. It starts with a bang and continues from there, this has a sweet but resilient heroine and a protective, honest and sometimes clueless hero.
The characters are great and have strong development from the beginning, this was an amazing read and I didn’t want this to finish. This book does deal with some TW issues, but deals with them in an extremely excellent way. This is another do not miss read from Marteeka. Fully recommend this author, book and series.
I love this world and I loved Dorothy and Morgue's story! Rescuing Dorothy was the best thing to ever happen to both of them. Dorothy because it got her out of a trafficking situation and Morgue because he finally finds the one person he can completely connect to. Their journey is an insta love/connection story that warmed my heart with how taken Morgue and Dorothy were with each other immediately. It was like their souls recognized each other right away. They're the perfect fit and the best thing for me was that she's totally accepting of his role in the club. What a fantastic, fast paced story this is!
This is Morgue and Dorothy's story. I think Morgue may just be my new favorite! I love that he could barely talk when he meets Dorothy. I mean the man could hardly get one word out. It was such fun to see a big man like him tongue tied. Dorothy meets Morgue at her lowest moment. Morgue stands by Dorothy during her hard times and gives her the strength to recover and get back the woman she once was and become the woman she wants to be. I love that Dorothy was able to get past what Morgue does and see the man he wants to be for Dorothy. This book was another entertaining and addicting story by Marteeka. I highly recommend Morgue and hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
This author is an automatic buy now for me, every series no matter the blurbs. I love the Iron Tzars MC and was excited about this new book, as always great action and brothers who kick a$$! Loved Morgue he was sweet for being so bada$$, for me the love story with Dorothy kinda felt a little less intense than the others in this series which is why I gave only 4 stars. Just a personal thing the book is totally worth buying and i'll definitely reread 😀
Morgue is book 11 in the Iron Tzars MC series. They say Morgue is a stone-cold killer that even some of his own brothers avoid. But then he rescues Dorothy from a hellhole in Mexico. She feels safe with Morgue because of his reputation. Huh, who would have thought? I loved this book from beginning to end. Morgue is the best protector a girl could wish for. And Dorothy, from Kansas, needs a protector, not a wizard. Just refrain from any Oz references or she may have to hurt you.
Let's talk about the fact that Morgue is on 10 from the start of the book to the end. Baby, I love it!! These books are so freaking good. The author does and excellent job giving us an incredible plot and and loveable Outlaw bikers. The family dynamics and chosen family make it that much better. I highly recommend this read and all prior books in the series
This story blew me away. Morgue and Dorothy meet in the worst but best way possible. This rough guy finds himself speechless when trying to talk to her. That right there stole my heart. Their journey is beautiful in the most raw and intense way. I enjoyed going on this heart-racing, emotional and absolutely gratifying ride with them.
I enjoyed this one. Loved Morgue's reaction to Dorothy. He was very self aware and understood his connection to her without getting all angsty but his feelings. Wish it was longer. I liked them.
Dorothy and Morgue might be the best Iron Tzars couple. Morgue is the deadliest member of all and those that hurt Dorothy will pay. No matter who you are. Dorothy finds where she belongs and that’s with Morgue and Iron Tzars.
What Dorothy went through is terrible and tragic but thanks to Morgue she starts to heal. He’s a total alpha that protects her and slays her demons. They are great together. Recommend this author to anyone she will never disappoint in her series. One of the best authors around in my opinion.
Going to do a deep dive into these books. This is not the first in the series, that being said, had no difficulty following along with the story line. it started off very dark. There was good action. The characters are likable.
An winner in this series of books! Great characters and plot along with some good twists and turns plus action. Very enjoyable book. Looking forward to the next one.
I so enjoy a strong bada** man who can barely talk when he meets the woman for him. Morgue and Dorothy meet at the worst time in her life. You will enjoy Morgue and his one syllable answers, you will cheer on Dorothy’s recovery. The characters make you root for their relationship, be excited the bad guys are caught and get to visit with the Iron Tzars again.
