Drummond Martin As the family playboy, love has never been on my radar. Women come and go at my whim, but Porsche and her bad attitude have always been in my sights. I have an NBA team to worry about, especially with our young troublemaker in the news for reasons other than his amazing gameplay. I don't have time for relationships, but a situtationship with mean ass Porsche, I can do.
Porsche Brown Drummond gets on every last nerve I have...always coming at me with some "Hey, Porsche!" I'm teaching and running a charity. Plus I have greats friends to spend my time with. I only need a man for one thing, and I get can get who I want, when I want. When the idea of a secret enemies with benefits situation comes up, I figure, why not? But as time goes on, Drummond starts to feel less and less like an enemy.
Everyone said this book was going to be the one. THE BEST OUT OF ALL THREE, so I was ready to read this one. And bay, Nina High did not come to play 🤭 She did that with this last one. Kind of reminds me of the first book 📕 with the undercover love ❤️ situation. I will not do any spoilers, READ FOR YOURSELF 🤔
Nina High is a "new-to-me" author. Though I don't know how I discovered her Martin Series, I'm sooo glad that I did. From Love, Under Contract to Love, From Scratch to Love, Undercover, I have absolutely loved learning about the Martin brothers, a group of successful billionaire brothers who come from hard working parents. I thought book 1, Love, Under Contract was good, so I read book 2, Love, From Scratch and I thought it was even better than book 1. I didn't know how Nina High could top book 2 but she definitely did with Love, Undercover.
Love, Undercover is my first enemies-to-lovers romance book and I didn't know if I would like it - I am not a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope but I was committed to finishing the series, so I picked this one up. The trope was fun and I appreciate the forced proximity layer that was added by Nina High.
In Love, Undercover, we meet Drummond Martin, billionaire basketball team owner and playboy. He has a different woman every week and isn't looking for a relationship at all. But his twin Draymond is engaged and his younger brother Dru is married. He doesn't admit to himself that he's a little jealous or that he wants what his brothers have, but the truth is he wants that life for himself. And who better than his sister-in-law's best friend and beauty Porsche Brown, who has all the fire and spice he wants in a woman. The story is all about how Drummond will be able to convince Porsche that he's worth the time of day beyond anything purely physical.
The characters are dynamic and diverse, the story is engaging and it even made me laugh a time or two.
Full of powerful insights on love and relationships, Nina High really did a great job with Love, Undercover, crafting a beautiful love story with the perfect HFN ending.
I did a lot of highlighting in Love, Undercover, but here are two of my favorite quotes: • "Dru and Draymond, they don't just love -- they craft a world where the woman they love is a queen." • "Love isn't something we plan, it's something we allow."
But I really enjoyed how vulnerable the Drummond was with Porsche. While talking about her hopes for the future, Drummond gets lost planning their future and admits: "I was planning our whole life together, and I got lost in the fantasy.
Isn't that beautiful?
A wholesome and drama free romance novel, this is the perfect conclusion to the Martin series. I look forward to reading future books from Nina High - she crafts romance stories with the perfect amount of spice.

My second book of the series and with this author. Charrise and Dru's story was decent, but the Dru character got on my nerves and really dampened the whole story for me a lot. Porsha and Drummond had that sexy spark, banter, fire/ice from start to finish. Porsha had a strong personality that showed through from the start, she had the independent, strong woman with depth, flaws but she made sense, was flexible and vulnerable in a reasonable way over time. I appreciated that they both had a past, handled themselves like adults without the "normal toxicity" that is glorified, but depth as individuals that we get to see. We get to find out some about their life, how they came to be, what has shaped them and watched them grow in a real relationship and love in a realistic way. This had the right amount of spicy scenes, feeling and romance. No huge plot twists or bug time drama...just a good old fashioned black romance. That is so unbelievable and nonexistent nowadays, it makes for a good story!
I read the first two books in the series but was on the fence about this one because the whole 'guy-chasing-the-mean girl' thing isn't my jam but I figured I'd try it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Yeah Porsche and Drummond went at each other but it wasn't malicious or even overly dragged out (thankfully). I enjoyed their chemistry and as usual, the humor.
I did notice that Charisse was apparently still teaching though I thought it said she left that profession to run an education charity or something in the previous book. There were noticeable editing issues again but thankfully, it didn't dampen my enjoyment. I can truly say I enjoy how this author writes and will be looking out for more books from her.
in this enemies to lovers book we see Drummond and Porsche going from enemies to lovers. well the beef was one sided really😂 Drummond was just being his annoying self and Porsche needed something to “hate” about him so she doesn’t fall in love. i loved seeing them fall in love. one thing about the Martin Brothers, the gone POP OUT. they don’t play about their women and they prepare the BEST and most impressive dates for their ladies okay!! that’s the dream right there fr🥹
I liked Porshe and Drummond together. I like that he knew what he wanted and with a bit of encouragement, he went after her. I do feel like the story was a bit underwhelming. They fell in love, but the only real event they went on together was to Empower Her Crown. Porsche being mean was a big staple in the story but she honestly hadn't done much in this book or in the others for them to have centered her personality around it, in my opinion. It wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite read either.
Absolutely loved this book with the last Martin brother. Drummond and Porsche were such cute enemies with benefits!
Drummond saw what he wanted and got it. If you love a good guy falls hard and fast, you will eat this book up.
The spice was spicing but not as overly spicy as I thought it would be based on the trope. I literally thought every page would be crazy but it had some substance to it.
These grand gestures these brothers do in this series is just…wow!!! Swoon worthy 🥰🥰🥰
Again, there were some minor inconsistencies but the romance outweighed any negative.
I loved this series the Martin brothers are a great bunch. Funny, handsome and have money. They fallen in love with woman who don’t want them for their money and I love that, it all happened organically. Porsche and Drummond 🤦🏾♀️ I hope I said the right twin lol anyway these two are two of the same male and female versions whose energies match. This is an enemies to lovers romance and I loved every piece of it. It’s a fast past book which makes it better.
I have to say this was my favorite! The banter between these two?! I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. Porsche isn’t mean, she just wants to be loved and has had to protect herself. Drummond isn’t some silly playboy, he is a solid owner who is deeper than he was portrayed in the two previous books. I’m sorry to see this series end’ 🥲
Drummond and Porsche's book was my favorite. The stories got better with each book in my opinion. This couple didn't have to do much to find attraction but their bond was really forged unexpectedly. The steaminess was top tier, they did it often and all over, never boring.
Sorry to see this series end! Love the characters, love the spicy scenes. There’s some depth to the plot and character development so it’s not bland, but light enough for a fun read. Actually laughed out loud a few times, which is gold for me. I’ll keep a look out for this author.
These two are my favorite of the Martin brothers and their lovers. Porsche is hilarious and Drummond matches her energy every time! Not me squealing and laughing like my friend got a man loving on her the way Drummond loves Porsche. All 3 Martin brothers are that guy but my fav is def Drummond.
I loved the story of Porsche and Drummond. Frenemies to the hilt. Their relationship reveled in being obstinate and opinionated but underneath the feelings broke through. The realness they displayed as they fought to avoid the obvious was too funny. Real people, real love.
Love the Martin Brothers series. This one brought me to tears. The author provides the perfect amount of spice and humor for an exquisitely balanced storyline that effectively ties in all the characters from books 1 and 2. Looking forward to hopefully read future installments of this family saga.
I love the Martin Brothers! Porsche and Drummond are my favorite couple. I had a few scares about how the story would end. Glad none of them happened! Great series!
I just discovered Nina High and her works. I have read all three of the books featuring the Martin Brothers. The timelines are off from the second to third books, and I did not like that, but it is a cute romance read.
This writer has done it again! I absolutely loved the book 1 and 3 are my favorites in this series. Looking for more to read of this author, I read this book in one, Keep on writing and I'll keep on reading them,
I loved Drummond. Everything about him just screamed that he was my type lol. He knew Porsche was different and that was what he needed. I enjoyed this series a lot.
What beautiful and sassy love story. The characters are believeable and there was little sexual references. I would recommend this book for others to read.
Omg this was such a treat! I really enjoyed getting to know Drummond 🥰 he is so different from what I remember from the first two books. He should be protected at all cost 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Once again, Nina has hit it out of the park with this book.. I laughed so hard and could not stop. This couple of Drummond and Porsche were definitely my favorite!!
This was my favorite book out of the series!!!! I loved how their true feelings literally just changed the game! They both took a major leap of faith and it really paid off for them. Porsche had her reasons for being the way she was but Drummond really worked to show her the alternative. This series was definitely worth my time❤️.
