A heartwarming tale of finding love, learning to trust, and what it means to be home.
Patrick Burrows shot to fame as a teenager, plucked from his small town in Vermont to a new life in Hollywood. His life has never looked the same, and his heart longs for the quiet life he left behind. He has never been able to fully trust that a woman is interested in him and not his money or connections, which has led to a lonelier life than he would like. His quiet generosity and gentle nature draws people to him, but can he ever let someone in fully?
Emma Martin has been searching for her place in this world since losing her mother at a young age. She comes to Windsor Peak looking for the one person she believes she can turn to, despite not knowing if they will be happy to see her. Finding a safe place to land and people to trust would mean letting her guard down, and life has not been kind to her when she does that.
Patrick and Emma’s budding relationship faces challenges as people from both of their pasts make trouble. Can they overcome the odds and help each other find the peace they are searching for? Or will happiness be stolen from them once again?
Denise Latham writes heartwarming novels that readers find difficult to put down and that pull on the heartstrings. Her writing of dialogue makes readers feel they are a part of the conversation and helps readers fall in love with the characters. With stories that both tell an important story and also have a hint of romance, her books appeal to readers of multiple genres.
As an Army wife (Ret.), Denise pulled on her own personal experiences to tackle the subject of PTSD and the difficulty soldiers can face when coming home from war and attempting to fit back into the life they left. Coming Home balances that difficult subject with a romance and the lighthearted, fun banter that will draw you in.
Denise lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts with her husband Tom, two sons Camden and Calum, and two dogs.
As an avid reader, Denise loves books that make her laugh, or fall in love with the characters - and hopes that's what you'll do with her books!
If you love small-town romances, emotional healing, and a big dose of hope, this book is everything you’re looking for. Pour a cup of tea, grab a blanket, and settle in—you won’t regret it!❤️💌
💘Finding Home by Denisse Latham is an absolute gem of a romance! Patrick, the Hollywood star longing for his small-town roots, and Emma, a woman searching for a safe place to heal, come together in Windsor Peak in a story about love, trust, and finding where you belong.
❤️🔥Their connection is so genuine, and I couldn’t stop rooting for them through the challenges their pasts throw in their way.
🐴Oh, and the horse rescue? It’s real! @allseatedinabarn That touch made this book even more special. Windsor Peak is brought to life with heartwarming details like this, adding so much authenticity and charm to the story.
I love this small town romance series set in Windsor Peak, Vermont. The first 3 books are based around 3 brothers, The Burrows Boys, and this book features the youngest brother Patrick.
Patrick was spotted at 16 and since then has made a name for himself in Hollywood, becoming one of the highest paid movie actors by his late twenties.
He comes home between shoots to his new house, which he bought on the plot next to his Dad. He's sick with the flu and doesn't really know what's happening when Emma appears, helps him to the sofa, and looks after him for the next couple of days. The book is about whether each one can trust the other when they both have relationship issues, his brothers think the worst, and when a family member of Emma's shows up, things get complicated.
I can not put these books down, they're so easy to read and tell a great story. Even though the books are standalone stories, they're definitely best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.
I've already downloaded book 4 to read. My problem is if I start reading it now, I won't put it down until it's finished! A good problem to have...
Yes! Patrick finally gets his happy ending. I loved the twists and turns in this, it really helped to see into Patrick’s mind and how he protects himself from people. I liked that he was given the space and time to really self reflect and see that his heart is locked away for protection but he’s missing out on so much love.
Emma is a great character, I could relate to her shyness and uncertainty of where she fit, I loved that she managed to find her half sister Zoe and we got to learn more about Zoe and in turn JJ who I’m hoping get a book next!
Seeing Emma and Patrick together, sharing their hearts, more than they have with anyone else was nice and I was so happy when they finally got their act together and truly opened up themselves to love and heartbreak by being totally honest with each other. This is such a great small town romance series.
I've read all three in the Windsor Peak series and loved them all equally. The author makes you love this family and the people who they surround themselves with. It will make you laugh, cry and not want the story to end. Can't wait to see what she writes next!
An amazing example of honesty, loyalty, family and love love. This is a fantastic series, amazing characters that feel like best friends ,exciting stories that draws you in until the very end. Highly recommend. Enjoy.
