I purchased a copy of the Christian Romantic Suspense Deadly Sins by Edie James, and this review was given freely.
A suspenseful and action-filled cat-and-mouse story which occurs just before Christmas and is complicated by the betrayal of Kate’s assumed dead fiancé now Consortium member.

I was excited as I had become invested in the characters but, I was disappointed by the cliffhangers and the escape of Hawk.

A false lead has the team in the Canadian Arctic where Kate sabotages their plane in hopes of silencing a stalker before he can silence her or reveal her deepest regret.

Ok I have to confess I am a big fan of Edie James. She has the unique ability to draw you into her story. The characters become your best friends and you are invested in their lives. I love the bond between these friends and how they are there for each other, encourage each other, depend on each other and even pray for each other!
Kate is in for the biggest shock of her life, luckily she is not alone and Fenn is there to protect and help her! Sometimes your enemy is someone you would never expect! The exotic location, drama, suspense, adventure and faith-nuggets make this book a winner!!

Fenn and Kate

JUST WOW! This is the fifth novel in The Redemption Creek Series and it has action and suspense. Fenn and Kate are a couple that have been dancing around each other for years. When a blast from Kate's past comes calling, Fenn does not back away from the challenge. A standalone novel in The Redemption Creek Series, this story takes place in The Arctic Circle and the plot is full of twists and turns. A fantastic series with adventure, mystery, romance, and action.

Another good one in this series. I’ve read a few of them, out of order, and they are fine to read that way. A minor amount of spoilers of which characters end up together but the author does a good job of explaining situations and characters out of context, which I really appreciate, especially when a lot of time goes by between reads. I didn’t have any difficulty catching up. I recommend this story which has two characters from the team front and centre.

Least Favorite

Least favorite in the series so far. Don't have much to say about this one except it was hard to push through and finish do to continuous unrealistic story lines. Like who would believe anything an ex would say who pretended to be dead for 12 years and then just shows up or who gets an engaged without having kissed or gone out on a date, better yet who sabotages their own plane leaving no way out with an impending storm coming? Biggest kick is these are high level black operatives. Right!

Deadly Sins

A thrilling adventure of danger takes us to the Canadian Arctic with the former black ops team. When someone targets pilot Kate Hackett she manages to stay behind with the plane while everyone except Fenn heads away from the storms threatening the area. Fenn is stubborn and refuses to leave her alone. Now the two have to unravel the mystery of who is targeting her and why. Will they be able to stay safe in the frozen arctic?

Edie James did a great job of introducing us to Fenn and Kate in her previous books, and I feel like I've been waiting for this story a long time. It was as good as I had imagined! The descriptions of Alaska had me freezing, and the plot... You'll just have to read it for yourself! But expect to stay up late!

EXCELLENT SERIES!

This is a series that just draws you in deeper with every book as each team member finds their way to love while solving a personal mystery. All of this is happening with the deeper mystery of finding and stopping the consortium and being able to bring their missing teammate home! I loved Kate and Fenn’s story, and can’t wait to read Paige’s book.

I enjoyed the plot line and Kate and Fenn's love story. This story has danger, suspense, and intrigue. Kate has secrets and ghosts from her past that she has to reveal and confront. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I love the characters in this book and in this series. This book has lots of mystery that kept me totally entertained along with some good action. The romance was on a winding path but it has a happy ending. I love the way God is sprinkled into the story!

I just knew this was going to be good; previous books in this series hinted that these two members of the team had something going on. There’s chemistry and banter between Kate and Fenn. Their story moves along at a fast pace just like the action in this book.

Great book!

I have liked each of the books in Redemption Creek series........but I think this one is my favorite. I really liked the suspense, twist & turns. The romance between the characters were very true to life. I highly recommend this series !

I love the Redemption Creek Series! It's got spies, heroes, romance, and most importantly it's got faith and filled with Scripture!

Definite page turner
