She was born to rule, and now it’s time for her to prove it.
Everything we thought we knew was a lie.
Our enemies are circling, and they’re one step ahead of us at every turn.
It doesn’t seem to matter where we go, there’s a new threat around the corner, and now more than ever we need to stick together.
But there are still secrets between us.
Secrets that have the power to tear us apart.
And I refuse to let anyone get in the way of everything I’ve worked for, including the men I’ve fallen in love with.
But I should have known they would never let me go.
Their obsession with me has reached new heights, and it doesn’t matter how far I run, they’re always going to catch me.
We’ll have to stand together if we want to beat our enemies, and I just hope like hell we all walk away from this alive.
This is a dark why choose romance with four morally grey MMC’s. Some may find themes in this book triggering and should check the content note before reading. This is the third of four books, and it does conclude on a cliffhanger.
Montana is an Amazon Top 50 bestselling author of spicy dark romance. She writes possessive anti-heroes who will make you swoon and feisty heroines who give as good as they get.
She lives in Australia with her husband and four cats, and is a self proclaimed garlic bread connoisseur. She loves to travel the world, but also loves to have her head in a spicy book in her home library and office.
★ᯓ 4.5 Stars ᯓ★ ⤷See that cliffhanger? yea I almost died, I also think I peed my pants a little 🤏
Kaos spiralling for half the book made me feel really bad for him atleast he finally got to see and understand. Crew was so hot in this idk why 😩😩😩
I can't really talk about this one much without spoiling the whole damn book. 🫠🫠 -------------------------- FLYING THROUGH THE SERIES BUT I'M LOVING IT, I GOT CLIFFHANGED AGAINNNNN RTC 😩😩😩
˚₊‧꒰ა Pre-read ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ AHHHHHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE
Montana Fyre, you’re absolutely killing me with these cliffhangers! Seriously, what have you put into these books? Your talent is out of this world.
The drama, action, and betrayal in this series kept me on the edge of my seat. Each twist and turn was more gripping than the last. I can’t wait for the next installment—please release it asap!
Watching Cami evolve and discover her true self is absolutely phenomenal. Her journey of self-discovery is inspiring and compelling, making her a standout character. And let’s not forget the men in this series. They have me torn between loving and hating them, a testament to your incredible character development. Their complex personalities and interactions are infuriatingly captivating.
The storyline itself is amazing, but we can’t overlook the spice. Those scenes are written so well and integrated so seamlessly into the plot that they feel completely natural. It’s pure perfection.
I don’t want to give too much away, but if you’ve been hesitant about starting this series, what are you waiting for? Dive in headfirst—you won’t regret it!
Oh my goodness, I was so happy when I received this as an ARC, and oh my goodness. I could not put this book down.
It was filled with drama, action, betrayal, and that ending!!! I am screaming. I need the next book like now, haha
I absolutely love how Cami is coming into her own and gaining more and more confidence as she goes. And these men! Oh my goodness, I want to beat them, hug them, and everything in between.
I can not wait to see how this series concludes, and I really hope the bad guys get what is coming to them and that Cami is the one to do it!.
If you have been contemplating starting this series, I highly suggest you do. And if you do let me know what you think =]
Okay, okay, we get it Montana Fyre is the QUEEN of cliffhangers.
If I thought the last two were bad… this one literally had me screaming and throwing my kindle. I can’t even right now. WHY?! I did not see that coming at all.
I’m so obsessed with this story. The details. The characters. The plot. The constant twists, revelations, and deep cut emotions have me completely and utterly invested in this story.
Camila is really coming into her own and I have loved every minute watching as she has transformed into an absolute baddy.
Then there’s the guys. I love Daddy Crew so much. Each book just makes me realize more how much I love him. Bishop, Kovu, Kaos are all upping the spice game they each are increasing the intensity and bringing it up a notch.
Incredibly thankful for the early copy! Huge thank you to Montana Fyre & Next Step PR for being a part of the ARC team for this series so far! I CANNOT wait to see how this story concludes.
She’s so fucking stupid. This would have been another 3 star for me if she were finally learning and growing or died but OMG I just spent three hours screaming at my kindle because every move she makes is so foolish.
Crème de la crème of her idiocy? KNOWING she’s being targeted and that there are multiple threats against her and she’s a new and young mafia queen living alone and SHE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHERE THE GUNS ARE IN HER OWN HOME?!?!
You’re a mafia queen. Just because you keep giving yourself mental pep talks about how badass you are doesn’t mean it’s true. This is proof enough.
Also, the heads of households are constantly busy doing things to run their businesses. You barely even talk to your second and just sit around moping about how everyone should respect you and they don’t know you and blah blah fucking blah.
For every 100 pages of her foolishness we might get 2 pages off her not behaving like the cliché dumbass character in a horror film.
Holy shit. I’ve stuck it out this long because I like the guys but OMG idk if I can keep listening to her level of dumb.
And for a leader she can’t connect any fucking dots until they are spelled out for her 🙄
(Spoiler)
That being said, I think her stupidity is catching because these guys just wander into a graveyard full of baddies and know they are outnumbered and unsure of what trap they are walking into and none of them think it’s a good idea to call for backup?! 🙄
These guys need to go back to basics. They all get caught SO easily it’s a joke. I don’t think it’s overconfidence either. It’s pure stupidity from long term contact with their dumbass girlfriend.
Then she comes in and thinks she can save them by just wandering in all willy nilly? 🙄 she’s really is just the lamb Kovu calls her, leading herself into her own slaughter 🙄 she didn’t even attempt for stealth.
With her constantly giving damsel vibes it makes no sense for her to switch into badass queen mode for 2 pages just to revert to an idiot. It’s like she’s two completely different characters.
ARC REVIEW *I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Who do I go to for my grievances because the way I am emotionally attached to this group is ridiculous. Montana you are killing me with these cliffhangers, I swear it's an emotional rollercoaster every time. I still can't believe all of this is taking place within a few months because the time between each moment feels like months. I love how with each book their relationship is growing more but they are also realizing they still have so much to learn about one another. And the way Camilla is still the bad@ss mafia queen she was meant to be 🔥🔥 god she's such a bad@ss and I know the men love to protect her but reading about her being the fierce fmc i know her to be is just everything. The spice is just right granted sometimes at moments you least expect it which personally I like. I absolutely need the next book now because I can't just not know what happens next.
*Thank you Montana Fyre and The Next STEP PR for the opportunity to read this ARC*
I told myself that I would mental prepare myself for the cliffhanger, nothing could prepare me for that. Nooooooope no no no. I’m not okay.
This series has the filthiest choke hold on me and I’m not sure what I’m going to do once we get our last book.
From the Ashes is book 3, you will need to read 1&2 and this kinda makes writing a review hard because I do not want to spoil a thing and yet I want to tell you everything.
I’m glad to see Cami finally being the queen I knew she could be, also when she put Daddy Crew in his place was everything.
My men, Bishop, Kaos and Kovu still unhinged, still marking what’s theirs and still so damn delicious even when fighting their own demons from the past.
The twists and turns and story just keeps getting better, I’m truly not ready for the last book. I don’t want them to leave me.
This book killed me… in a good way, but I’m definitely hurting.
First off, Camilla isn’t with the guys for a good chunk of the book because a big secret comes out and she runs. But that doesn’t mean we don’t still have interactions between her and her guys.
After the bomb dropped at the end of book two, Kaos is a bit of mess. Kovu has to face a demon from his past. Camilla is mad at all of them. And the bad guys are making moves left and right. This book had me in high alert the entire time.
And then Montana Fyre decided to absolutely BREAK ME with the cliff hanger. I’m so glad the note at the end says it won’t be long until the next book.
Even with the bit of separation in this book between Camilla and her guys… the spice in this is HOT. So freaking hot!
The third installment in this series is the best one yet! Each book in this series has been more action packed and sexier than the last. Now that the author has really established the characters and their respective relationships, she takes the time to both delve deeper into their backstories for more context on the present, as well as cram this book full of plot twists and turns. It’s very difficult to write a review of the story without giving any spoilers for the whole series, so I’ll just say that Camilla continues to come into her own and prove her worth as the head of a mafia family, as well as a woman involved with the four scariest men in the city. She’s come a long way from where we met her in book one, beaten down physically, mentally and emotionally, and somewhat helpless in every aspect. Now she’s standing her ground, fighting their enemies and fighting for herself in her business and relationships. As a bonus, we get a lot of cameos from The Perfect Fit characters in this one too! As a forewarning, if you thought the cliffhangers at the ends of books one and two were tough, this one is almost unbearable. I’m counting down the days until the fourth book is available!
This series just gets better and better that I demolished this, and wow, there were so many jaw-dropping moments with twists and turns, tonnes of drama, betrayals, and of course we cant forget the spice.
I loved how Cami has grown in this book she was amazing before, but she has come into her own. She knows what she wants, and nobody is going to stop her even the men she loves. She is definitely proving she is the Queen, and people shouldn't underestimate her.
EXCUSE ME? THAT ENDING?!? this series has me in a Visceral chokehold. I am so desperate for the next book to be release so I can figure out wtf just happened!
Montana has an addictive writing style and if you haven’t given this series a read yet STOP EVERYTHING AND START IT NOW!!!!
Montana does it again! We pick right up with the fight club. We also come face to face with Caleb…Kaos’s Dad. This puts Kaos in a very hard spot in The Legion. Does he believe his dad, who faked his death, or Crew who has been his father figure? While everyone’s head is spinning Cami tries her best to comfort everyone. This leads us to get more background on Kovu and learn more about his childhood. Cami once again proves to us why she is a Mafia Queen and is the rock these men need. BUT!!! That ending Montana!?!? My heart can’t take much more!!! Once again patiently waiting for August!!!
CLIFFHANGERS FOR DAYS! I LOVE THIS SERIES THE CHARACTERS DEVELOPMENT THE SPICE AND THE PLOT TWISTS KEEP ON GIVING! I can't wait to read the whole series once it's completed
Holy Freak!!! How could you?!? I'm not sure if I want to scream in frustration or cheer on joy. Probably both. This series is consuming all my thoughts right now. I love the story and the amount of drama, suspense, and all the twists. I love the characters, the growth they experience both alone and as a group. I love the relationships, the heat, and they way they're changing. I basically love everything about it, but that ending has me wanting to pull my hair out.
This book! This MFing book has again thrown me through a loop. Just when I thought I knew what would happen, it twisted and threw me off kilter. Montana Fyre is one heck of a writer, and this book series has been no exception. They get better as they progress. All I have to say is that ending whyyy! Yes, I'm sorry to report it is another cliffhanger...... I recommend tissues! Where's book 4 at already Montana?
No direct spoilers but hints of previous books and hints to my fave scenes.
I made a promise to myself after the second book, that I wouldn’t read the third book in a day. I’d pace myself. I’m a dirty liar.
We begin this book with the most gut wrenching chapter I’ve ever read and, I’m a lover of dark romance. I was looking away and reading through my fingers as though the words would be forced upon me. Brilliantly written.
First quarter of the book and one of the plot points that has been bugging me from book one is being revisited. I’ve been waiting for some more strength from Camilla.
I’ve never wanted to run through the woods more than after reading this book.
Lots of loose ends tied up nicely. Relationships and characters grew and evolved. Kovu has my heart right now, no further applications necessary.
Regarding spiciness - I always appreciate an author who can call a hole for what it is. I get a bit overloaded with the cute names that saturate the smut books.
The cliffhanger: Like, how dare you? What gives you the right? I feel personally attacked and I’m going to need some time to myself.
3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is an okay continuation but also the one relationship and story going for four books is a lot. It is starting to feel like it is being stretched for the sake of it over reader enjoyment.
So she finds out they killed her dad and she goes back to her house for some space. Kovu shows up and chases her into the woods and she tells him “you lied blah blah” and he denies lying and then threatens her! The same page she’s mad and hurt he lied, she’s also begging for him to fuck her. Ughhhh I almost DNF the book right there. I hate when the FMC (a fucking mafia boss at that!) doesn’t stand up for herself and not only that she is begging him on the same page where she is trying to confront him about KILLING HER DAD! (This is 30% into the book)
She then stays at her house for a week and they do their best to give her space. Then the night at the sex club happens and this is the plan:
“Tonight is meant to be part of our reconciliation, which includes overwhelming her with so many orgasms she can’t possibly argue when we insist on taking her home to the compound tonight.”
How many orgasms do you think she gets? 3? 5? …NOPE! They make her hold off on coming while they fuck her mouth (they also plug her ass and fuck her with a vibrator) THEN they let her come. ONCE! I was so disappointed. I was excited thinking they were going to treat her like a queen to make her think she was the priority and they cared for her.
Overall-never say “so many orgasms” then give her ONE. Ugh that was annoying.
All 4 guys split up in the cemetery and end up tied up while waiting for Camilla to show up. As she comes strolling in with her cute black outfit and her guys she thinks… “I’m about to show them why my father trained me to be his successor rather than Michael or Scott. Because I’m infinitely more capable than I look.”
I was getting excited thinking she was going to come in and shoot all the guys, do some cool fighting moves and be a badass.
Not only does she drop her own guns like an idiot, but then she offers to be shot by the people who have her men tied up. ““Me. Kill me.” The words fall from my lips before I can stop them. “That’s an eye for an eye. Then they have to live without me the same way you’ve had to live without Bianca.””
The entire scene I was waiting for her to flip out and start killing someone, thinking it was all just a show of her “acting” weak. Nope, she really is a weak POS.
There was a scene at the end of the book where she ties Crew to his office chair and gets herself off in front of him. That was pretty hot.
Don’t think I’ll continue to the last book, I’ve lost a little interest with each book. Quite disappointed in the FMC. All the training she got for years and she has been weak time and time again. I also wish the men were nicer to her, they are quite selfish.

the series started off well … though I was sceptical about a barely 18 FMC … as let’s be honest .. unless it’s a high school scenario … there is no 18 year old who is going to be convincing as an adult … and unfortunately as the series progressed … this proved to be true
on the plus side …the writing is well done and engaging enough .. only a few glaringly obvious mistakes that couldn’t be ignored … and while the author is clearly talented … there was a lot of repetition of descriptions ( “wild eyes” being the most repetitive) and not enough description in others ( still have no real concept what Kaos or the K guy looks like ) … and while I liked all the characters enough to keep reading …the FMC … who wasn’t particularly intelligent or that interesting as a character … and that despite years of “training” to be a mafia leader … she was incapable of thinking logically … rarely did anything to protect or defend herself so was constantly being rescued and cried every 5 minutes … and I was frequently baffled that the men … who were supposed to be these elite enforcers …never seemed to know they were being watched / constantly being set up and kept being ambushed in the most obvious ways … I get that the concept is that they’re all sociopaths with borderline psychotic tendencies in love for the first time … but suspended disbelief only goes so far …
I am 100% sure there are and will be readers …who know nothing about basic weapon training (let alone combat training) or fighting … who will love this series …. just not me
I am so happy that something actually happened in this book. It kept things going for me, and I didn't even realize I was at the end until the cliffhanger happened and BOOM, the book is over. There are still issues I have with this book/series, though, that are bugging me.
Camilla just isn't consistent enough to take too seriously. One moment she claims to be this hardened mafia queen, but then the next she comes across as the proverbial damsel. It's too back and forth with her to really understand her. I can't seem to connect enough with her to care much about what happens to her.
There is a lot of repeated thoughts and sentiments, as well. I get it! She means so much to you now when only a few months ago you never knew you needed something more in your life. I don't need to read this particular sentiment 18 times (no, I didn't count, just exaggerating mostly).
She should make them grovel more. Seriously. When Kaos literally hands her over to the enemy, she was mad just a few days and then just forgave him for sex. Same thing happened when she found out that they were involved with her dad's death. She was mad for a week, then forgave them for sex. Ugh, it drives me nuts when they just jump back into bed like that.
Why have they not just offed Charles, yet? They have multiple instances of him breaking the bylaws that are punishable by death, and he still gets to walk around. And yet, her father breaks a contract and they literally killed him that very same day! Dragging out the drama is really pissing me off, as it is seeming more and more to be a reason to write and sell more books. Take all that out, plus how much it dragged in earlier books with absolutely nothing happening, and you can shave it down by an entire book easily.
All that said, this author does seem to be very good with the cliffhangers. I will be moving on to the last book to finish up the series.

STOP AND DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE FIRST 2 BOOKS!!
This is the third instalment to the Syndicate of the legion series and Montana has not only delivered more and more with each instalment she completely decimates all hopes and dreams with this cliff hanger ending.. WARNING: YOU MAY BECOME A LITTLE UNHINGED AFTER THIS BOOK WHILE WAITING FOR THE NEXT!!!
written in dual first person POV's this is a fast paced read, with spice that may have you blushing and grinning like the Cheshire cat.
we enter in to this book straight after the last with Kaos's Dad back from the dead and boy that throws more than a plot twist because all the crazed events that occur in this one just hook you in and drag you into the beautiful destruction that comes with the syndicate.
there are highs and lows throughout while we read about cami's war within herself after she finds out the truth of what happened the day she was found behind the compound.
we get full flashbacks of what really happened to kovu before the syndicate took him in and the torture and suffering he endured as a child; which only serve to make you love him and his depravity even more..
we get to see cami come into her own and show everyone who she really is while taking on Charles and Caleb head on.
and don't worry there is plenty of daddy Crew, Kaos and Bishop moments throughout also.
you will be smiling, frustrated, crying and have happy moments throughout... and in true Montana fashion you will be falling in love and heartbroken by the end of this one!
Can I tell you just how excited I was to dive back into this world? Montana has honestly hog tied me and left me speechless after every book so far. THE CLIFFHANGERSSSSS ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEE. Here I am thinking surely Montana would do a 3 for 3 right? She’s give us a bit of a break. Nope. I was wrong.
I read this book in one sitting guys so if that’s any indication of how addicting these books are then I don’t know what else to tell you.
Also, ummm Mafia Queen Cami is coming out of her shell and stomping over everyone. I loved seeing Cami embrace her true self and is slowly finding the confidence to be the head of the family and run her family’s business.
Obviously I couldn’t get enough of the four men that honestly have me wanting to join the mafia so I can find myself four strong, rich, handsome men that will take good care of me 😂. Crew, Bishop, Kaos and Kovu are definitely something else entirely but dammit I’d be lying if I said I’m not obsessed. (Are we shocked? Probably not)
I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what the hell is going on!
book 3 in legion of the syndicate does not disappoint. and w o w all that was revealed concerning caleb was intense and honestly just made you feel for crew and kaos, they seemed the most affected by caleb's betrayal. also makes you feel bad for bianca, like im sorry but i dont believe he really cared for her... cause he had to have known there was a camera in that room even without sound? so even if she ran away from the scene before they found his "body", they'd have seen her on the security videos.... so she'd have the same fate either way. i did love the slight argueing and small groveling between camilla and the guys though they could grovel a smidge more lol. and kovu, kovu my love, the primal scene was fun but shorter than i was imagining it'd be XD. my heart goes to him too, he got the ringer in this book holy sheeeet. between facing one of his childhood tormentors to that scene in the graveyard to him almost hurting camillia after a nightmare TO THE END OF THE BOOK. THAT CLIFFHANGER, IM NOT OKAY. MONTANA- I WILL CRY IF HE IS NOT OKAY.
