When you remake yourself, is the person you become the truth or a lie?
Once a runaway teen, Madison Newport’s past includes stripping, gangsters, and stealing to survive. After years of moving from man-to-man, she lands in LA chasing an acting career. She’s not what she tells everyone, but Madison’s determined to remake herself into an honest woman.
Thirteen years ago, Geoff Viant partied until he blacked out and woke up in jail. The events of that night haunt him, and he paid the price for years. Vowing to never lose control again, Geoff reemerges as Hollywood’s hottest lawyer.
When Geoff hires Madison to assist his most important client, she tests all his boundaries. With his self-control slipping, their professional relationship soon becomes anything but. And the harder they fight their bond, the more inevitable it feels—until the past catches up to them.
They agree to tell each other the unvarnished truth, no matter what. But some things may be better left unsaid.

Tell Me Something True is a funny, bittersweet, and intelligent story about the experiences that define us. It’s a steamy contemporary romance containing descriptive love scenes and adult language. Please use the Look Inside feature to review trigger warnings.
Amelia Elliot works as a trial lawyer, entrepreneur, and author. She publishes on topics of law, business, and politics. “Amelia Elliot” is the pen name for the author’s works in women’s fiction, romance, sci-fi, and political and legal thrillers. She lives with her husband, three big dogs, and three riotous kittens.
Amelia is disabled with chronic illness. One of her favorite things about writing novels is exploring her characters’ human flaws, growth, and triumph over adversity. She writes happy endings because optimism matters.
Romance with a decent plot, that is consistent and shows women as strong characters and they have substance. The FMC is a strong woman who has experienced quite a lot of lows that have left indelible scars; the MMC has a complex back story impacted by an event that he can't remember. The narrative explores the back stories of characters in previous books, the interweaving of their attraction, in the midst of building a working relationship and also the highs and lows of how people live in the public eye. I didn't think the author could make a more detailed plot and character arc. I was wrong! RECOMMENDED reading

An interesting story that held my attention to the end. The main characters have interesting story lines that intersect and give a HEA. Will look for more by this author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is such a great book! Initially I was a little nervous because I was not a fan of either Madison or Geoff from their appearances in previous books. But as Amelia reveals the hidden truths about both characters, you get a whole new perspective of their choices and actions. And then you can't help but cheer them on as they fight for their HEA. As usual, the book is beautifully written and delves into difficult topics with grace and respect. I don't want to write too much and accidently spoil it, so just grab a copy and start reading!
Had not heard of Amelia Elliot until I downloaded one of her books for free. Oh my goodness, what an author. I have devoured the thunderstruck series and loved every minute of them.
I absolutely love reading HEA books and I think she might just be in my top 10.
Can’t wait to read more from this author.
Please can we have an ever after book about all these characters.
