This volume covers chapters 1231 to 1590 and shows Sunny and his friends' journey as they challenge the third nightmare. This was the best arc of the series so far, and I can't believe I'm putting the Antarctic arc aside as the best, but this volume was surreal to read and think about how the author connected so many things throughout this volume. When you understand certain things at the end of the arc, especially with the phrase "be careful what you wish for," your mind explodes, and you don't know what the story will be like from here on out. I've said in previous volumes that Sunny is one of the most tormented protagonists I've ever read, and after this volume, I reaffirm that again. What he went through here will change him forever, and I have no idea if he will ever recover what he lost, and if he doesn't, if he will be able to move on with what's left. With 7 volumes read, the first part of the story is complete, and I can't wait to see what the author has prepared for our friend Sunny and his companions. I'm sure it will be something completely epic.

The last 100 chapters are some of most engaging chapters I’ve read in a fat minute. There’s actually so much for me to write about and sing praises to but there’s just so much to wrap my head around it’s making me dizzy.

Do NOT consume 8 hours of literature in one sitting 🪑

I will say first and foremost that this is the best volume G3 has written. It’s a clear and fantastic culmination of his writing prowess on display. Everything comes full circle and it’s finally, FINALLY, everything after the fateful Valor Ball FINALLY ends.

EVERYTHING was so smoothly transitioned arc by arc it felt so natural I didn’t even notice it sometimes.

The Third Nightmare itself was by far the best arc in the series, the Forgotten Shore will always hold a special place in my heart but this is indisputably the best written. Everything from the very start, to the Azure Serpent, to the Black Turtle, to Ananke, to Fallen Grace, to Alethia’s Island to Twilight to Verge, EVERYTHING, it was all a joy to read and uncover and experience. What a wonderful world I get to gaze upon.

Especially Alethia’s Island, Twilight and the trip to the Estuary.

Jaw. On. The. Floor. Don’t even get me started on the last 20 chapters. I was simply just left slack jawed.

AND THE FINAL 5 CHAPTERS IN PARTICULAR?? I NEED TO KNOW WHERE WE GO FROM HERE 😭😭

Part 3: simply amazing. Everything that happened had my jaw on the floor.

The end absolutely broke me and had me starting the next volume (which is not on goodreads) right away.

I do not write reviews often, but this series has a hold on me that keeps getting tighter. G3 not only knows how to build a world you can envision so vividly, but has this blueprint that even Weaver himself is only a small component of. Though Part 1 was slow, I enjoyed the way it went about, giving so much lore and developing Nephsis and Sunny's relationship. Part 2: add horror that I did not know he was capable of and had me wanting more, to see Sunny triumph and achieve his goals, and then Part 3: Not only did Cassie blow my mind, but Sunny himself astounded me with his treachery and obsessions. I was broken by the end of the book, seeing all I thought changed over the course of less than 50 chapters.

This was a masterpiece of a volume
Although Forgotten Shore and Antarticta were already goddamn good arcs, I have to say the third nightmare totally takes the crown for being the best arc till now.
I loved every part of it. Yea the first part of it was rather slow compared to the other two, but it set the setting perfectly and let us have a lot of nice relationshipbuildings between sunny and Neph. Then came the second part, which I reallyyy loved with all its action and the other characters (also seeing Mordret again hihi; sorry but I am totally his fangirl). The third part however? Was just absolutely mindblowing! I mean Cassie helloooo. I knew she kept secrets and stuff like that, but I didn’t imagine it to such an crazy amount wow. And then all the things he learned in the Estuary just changed everything we knew about this world.
And oh man, am I hyped for the next volume. Cause what do you mean, he now is fateless and finally free from his bond to Nephis and fate overall?? Oh but what a price it had, I really am looking forward to how Sunny will get his relationships back and how exactly he will now power up o:

tomb of ariel was just as good as the second nightmare for me :) The whole thing was well thought out and it made me appreciate characters in ways I hadn't before. I also thought that the answer it brought on questions we've had for the whole webnovel so far were answered in very satisfactory ways without giving me a reason to stop reading lol. the cliff hanger at the end is definitely pushing me forward to continue it. I feel so bad for crow crow bro. wdym he was flying around for a year telling everyone jet was stuck :(

I think that this nightmare also gets better in the reread. specifically knowing the plot I find helps, because it was really confusing for me the first time around. I had no idea what a sybil was.

If I hadn’t know so already, this volume solidified this series as one of the greatest stories I’ve ever read. The slow developments of the beginning and the numerous threading plot lines came together perfectly, delivering well on the setup from surprising not just the previous two volumes, but volumes three onward. The revolutions of the finale were amazing and extremely gratifying, the character interactions were enjoyable and felt realistic, and the emotions of the volume felt intense. The last chapter’s plot twist making everything all the more interesting, showing that all actions have consequences.

Ah The Tomb Of Ariel.....what a volume this was....

Every chapter was written with bits and bits of knowledge that, at first, seemed to be nothing of note, but later on found out to be a mistake. It was not only that that made this volume be the no 1 volume in my list but also how the main character's relationship progressed with each character during his struggles in this volume.

This volume specifically hit the sweet spot for me for everything I would want in a normal novel I would read before I read this series; romance, action, mystery, plot-twist, immense foreshadowing. This volume also made me realize that this author, G3, might be the man known as the King Of Foreshadowing....

Oh hell yeah. No, I meant HELL YEAH. What a peak nightmare. The way it starts with something that you can’t understand but you get how it is as the progression goes? PEAK. Loved the side characters too. And the ending? You can’t be expecting that AT ALL. Third Nightmare is worthy of being the THIRD NIGHTMARE. How it just tops the first (Forgotten Shore) and second (Chain Breaker). Honestly, this shit way too peak.

G3 really showcased his writing prowess here in Vol. 7. Whenever Sunny feels bored, I feel the same. When scenes are perilous, I'd hold my breath. This is also the longest book by far. 🙌🏻

Lore drop nya gila, fight scene nya epic, heartwarming moments nya wholesome, konsep waktu nya keren (bagi yang suka regresi, volume kali ini memuaskan hasrat regresi kalian), musuhnya ngeri, klimaksnya gokil, semua konsep paradox dan anomalinya bikin pala pening mau meledak. Starts slow, setting up a completely new world. Once the story starts to gain speed it’s impossible to put down. Couldn’t stop reading past the half way point, jaw was stuck to the floor with the constant action and revelations every page.
