Join Pippa in this debut short mystery novella by Poppy Blythe, the first in a fabulous new cosy mystery series.
Being the first book a lot of time had to be spent on building characters and background. Pippa received an unexpected letter telling her that her grandfather who had passed had left her his house in a seaside town. She makes arrangements to travel to the coast to see the house and determine what to do with it. As soon as she arrives strange things start happening in the house. From there the mystery deepens. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
This was so good and I was really surprised to reach the end of the book so quickly. I had been so engrossed in the plot and its characters, expecting it to move on when it finished! Now, I can't wait to read what happens next, and am waiting to get the next book. Excellent.
A good start to a story? Takes Pippa out of her comfort zone into a possible mystery in a caring community. Hard to say anything else, as that seems to be all it gives you, at this juncture.
I wouldn't normally pick up Inheriting a Mystery, but did as it was the book that a dying loved one was reading. This is barely a novella, but better than I credited a book with this cover. It was exactly what I needed to be reading today: light but with a tiny bit of a bite.
This is one of those short books that try to get you hooked into reading the series. Its only a short story. Publishing all of the series at once would make a book.
This mystery was not very good. It was a little confusing . I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited . This in no way affects my opinion of this book.
