Season 2 ~ The Finale

Throughout this season, couples faced greater challenges than their predecessors in their pursuit of Happily Ever After!

Despite the family drama, Naomi and story was the most tame of the group. Whereas , Julliane, , and Maia's stories were fought with danger and destruction. Summer and true-love tale was heartbreakingly bitter-sweet.

Season 3 promises new and exciting developments as Alana's protegee takes over a section of the business catering to a more challenging clientele.

Absolutely loved the entire series part 1 and 2! It had everything from love, lust to thrill, shock, heartbreak, happiness, loss, and pure joy. There are some triggers if that’s an issue …the books do state that upfront . The characters are easy to fall in love with , encourage and cheer for as you move along the series . I love how they all end up intertwined at the end . Highly recommend and i cannot wait to read more as it looks like “after dark” will be coming soon !!!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½💕💍🤵🏿‍♂️👰🏽‍♂️👰🏼‍♀️👩🏻🇺🇲🇳🇴🇫🇷

My thoughts: I was a bit disappointed. I get the loose ends as they are setting up Season 3, a Christmas novella, and a darker spin-on series, but promising twists are a huge turn-off for me. First, if you have a twist you shouldn't share it as the point of a twist is it's unexpected. Secondly, they are calling everything a twist these days to lure readers, the only thing worse than being told there is a twist is to be told there is a twist only for it to be a reveal instead of a twist. Sure enough, that is what happened here. Except it wasn't even a reveal because the so-called twist Was pretty much revealed indirectly in the last book. Your average second grader would have used context clues and figured that out so it was definitely not a twist, barely a reveal with all of the arrows pointing down that path. Finally, the fact that they used plural and there was nothing else to offer reveal-wise made it even more disappointing. Sequels tend to continue the story or repeat it, this series did both making it wholly predictable and very repetitive, I mean all the characters were in the same storyline, with various variations that are identical to the previous couples. You don’t have to read Season One because you're about to read the remix. I will be Season 3 and After Dark, once they are moved from Vella to Kindle, I'm expecting this to happen because Season One started on Vella and was later compiled as a book to go to Kindle Unlimited, so I'm just so mean that's what's going to happen eventually. I'll wait.

Recommend to others: Yes. If you like soft erotica, soap operas, crime, and a little dark romance this is for you.

This serial makes up four complete novels. Written in first person from multiple POV, all receive HEAs at the end of book 4.
The story develops as the candidates and the bidders are introduced in book one. Four couples and Madam Alana’s ties to them are the focus of the series.
Couple one:
Memphis Taylor is a golden retriever hero who falls fast and hard for his bidder, Naomi. She is a complete boss babe, multi-millionaire. There is a focus on family in their story as they overcome obstacles on the way to being together forever. I loved how Memphis dotes on Naomi. I loved how Naomi sees Memphis and his family for the good people they are despite their disparate backgrounds. I loved their heat and the care they showed each other.
Couple 2:
Maia and Rhodes are drawn together as an unlikely couple. Maia has a tragic past and Rhodes is immediately protective of her because of her sad eyes. Though they have an age gap, it is never an issue because Maia has lived more life in her short 24 years than most. They have many challenges to overcome on the way to their happy ending. They too have a focus on family in their story. I love the relationship Maia builds with Rhodes’ daughter, Emily. I love the way Rhodes helps Maia get her family back. They are hot together and I adore that they are always on the same page once they get started.
Couple 3:
Jack and Summer are definitely in the opposites-attract category. She brings sunshine into his life like he never thought possible. Jack has lived a life with loss. He experiences more in this story, yet Summer stands with him all the way. They formed a beautiful relationship together and it made me cry and smile. Family is important to Summer, and it is all Jack ever wanted. Over the course of their story the realize their dream of a big, blended blood/found family. I adored Summer’s easy way of being. It was perfect for Jack.
Couple 4:
Julieanne and Giovanni have known each other their whole lives. When Madam Alana and the auction bring them together (finally), they start off a little rocky. It doesn’t take long for them to realize that together they can survive anything. Their story has loads of devastation that was handled carefully by the author. Their love was already there, the auction just allowed them to realize it.
Madam Alana and Christophe play a large role in this series. Readers will gain the most by reading Madam Alana’s book before this series. Her past intertwines with the future of some of these couples in a way that was unexpected and full of suspense. I loved seeing her with Christophe as they navigate the challenges and danger they encounter in this story. I adored seeing the loving relationships she built with the auction participants.
This serial was full of suspense, danger, loss, hot times, love, and family. Beautifully written, I couldn’t put it down. Originally published on the Kindle Vella platform, there were hints of a continuation of more books in this world. Now that Kindle Vella has announced it will be ending, the author plans to take a break and may or may not continue with more stories in this world. I am not a serial reader and I took advantage of the full novels once they were in kindle unlimited. I am hopeful that the author does continue with more stories. I would love to see both Autumn and Diego get their HEAs. If she does not, then I will try to imagine a HEA for them in my mind.

The Marriage Auction 2
Book 4
Audrey Carlan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ever wondered what pure perfection is? The Marriage Auction 2. I can’t say enough about how much I loved this story. The writing, the characters, the drama, the emotion… e earthing was there and played out to perfection. I’m feeling a little urgh now, how does one move in from such a great series. It will certainly be one I will revisit. If you haven’t read the first series, you should start there, if you have t rad the first 3 books in this series stop reading this review now, as it will spoil it for you!

After much turbulence it was wonderful to see the 4 couples finally get their happy ever after. What started as a marriage contract, 3 years and millions of dollars, but ended with everlasting love. While none of the 8 individuals came away unscathed as they all had demons in their closets, they come away in love and together forever.

Memphis and Naomi overcoming family drama worse than the royal family. He might have vibe from nothing, but the ex-footballer and the millionaire make the perfect couple. He wasn’t rich in finance but in family it’s there in spades and what Naomi longed for ♥️

Gio and Julianne, this pair were early in life lovers, but were kept away, when Gio was given the tip to bid on Julianne to save her family business and take down her brother, he was more about winning her back forever. They saw through a battle, that left many injured for life. But through that dark space was their hot chemistry and love like no other. Gio would give up everything for Julieanne his one true love. Right to the last paragraph their lives were thrown another hurdle, this final one being real family!

Rhodes and Maia, she was the young woman ru. ING from her past hoping to change the future for her mother and siblings. Living in the street she was taken under Madam Alana’s wing and placed in the auction, needing the cash to move her family away from evil. She never expected an older man, a teenage daughter and a love she’d never known. Rhodes not inky helped her from the trauma and nightmares that plagued her but fell in love. His gentle ways with her brought out a mama bear he’d never imagined. Maia was a constant work in progress, she didn’t give in to love, because in her works it didn’t exist, now she’s found it, she loves it!

Finally, Jack and Summer, the most unmatched characters, she’s fun loving, hippy living, and cannabis growing free love. She already had money she needed someone to help her business grow. Jack bit only did that, he grew her heart. Their insta chemistry scorched the pages, and I think weee my favourite couple. While their lives were changing they never imagined the horror and devastation they would face head on. Still new to their love story everything changed with one call… leaving them with many choices, many decisions and much heartbreak. Moving forward their lives merged together to create a new family. This one full of more love!

I don’t think I could’ve asked for a more enthralling, exciting, an absolutely fantastic conclusion to this season of The Marriage Auction by Audrey Carlan. This series has completely owned me since I first started reading it. And this second season delivered in every way. It continued the romance and love that I can’t get enough of with all of these characters, it continued the unforgettable premise of this entire world, and it just had me in the thick of it with these characters that I loved with my whole heart.

This series is just so enjoyable to read. It is an exhilarating experience to save the lease to experience what this series has to offer and I love it. It is a soap opera in the best way. There is love and fire and connection. There is twists and turns and drama and Action. There is surprises to be found and so much love to be experienced. It is just incredible. I have loved reading every bit of this series and this new season was no different.

I honestly just can’t wait for more. This author set up so much more to come in this world and I need every bit of it. I need every bit with these characters, I need every bit of what could be, and I just need more of it all. Audrey Carlan definitely knows how to create a world that you don’t want to leave, and this one is one that I will always want a piece of.

I absolutely loved getting to fall in love with all of these characters and their stories. These characters were very real. They were vulnerable. They were honest. They were so protective and so deeply in love with one another. They just felt everything. They were willing to do whatever it took for each other and that shined on every page of this book. It shined throughout this entire series really. I loved getting to see these characters find their way to the happily ever after that they so deserved, and I also just loved getting to see them be there for one another. It was absolutely fantastic to get to experience the friendships and the love and the families that these characters created together and it was just beautiful.

This series truly is one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see what the author has planned for more with all of these characters and what she has set up in this world. If you were looking for a series that is romantic, that is consuming, and that will keep you on your toes through every page, then run yourself to these books. They are utterly fantastic, and some of my favorite reads. I truly can’t recommend them enough!

ARC review of both book itself and audiobook narration.

This is the final book in Season two which is broken up into 4 pieces so please go back if you haven’t read the others! My review is spoiler free.

This final conclusion to this season was a thrill ride! The stakes were higher than ever and the tension was top notch! I loved how all of our stories came to a conclusion while also leaving exciting breadcrumbs for what’s to come in The Marriage Auction! Because exciting changes are definitely ahead. TMA fans will love to try spotting the clues I just know it! And Audrey definitely listened to the side characters that we are dying to be put into the spotlight. Overall the completion of season two only made me even more eager and excited for season 3, and I love knowing that she will always let us know these season 2 beloved characters are doing well next season. Having those brief info drops with season 1 folks was such a treat and I hope she always continues it. I just hope that Audrey knows that this series can continue on forever because fans like me will always be excited for the next auction!

I cannot recommend this series enough to anyone who loves intrigue, high spice, high stakes, and romance that is BUILT ON CONSENT! Consent is the number one theme here, and readers will love that impact to the series as a whole. I personally love knowing that if Audrey writes it, consent is at the forefront. I personally find her books deeply healing as a result and a great reminder of what we need and deserve to see in our real world relationships.

Narration:

Again, I loved that we got a full cast. This is more like a graphic audio set up as a result. You’d think it would be hard to keep characters separated with so many of them but with the audiobook it’s so easy because there is a narrator per character! They bring so much life to these already rich and full characters, it’s truly the best way to fully experience TMA in my opinion!

Thank you so much Audrey Carlan and Brilliance Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Memphis and Naomi overcame family drama that would have sent the faint at heart running the other way. Memphis did just the opposite and ran right into Naomi’s loving arms. Rich on love at its best!

Gio and Julianne, are life long lovers, surviving through known and unknown battles has only made their love stronger. Their sizzling chemistry only makes the beginning of their story more passionate and all consuming.

Maia never expected an older man and his teenage daughter would provide her with the love she’d never known. Rhodes’ gentle ways showed Maia that she can be worthy of love and give it in return. Maia is a fierce protector of what she loves and that is evident with both Rhodes and Emily. Maia and Rhodes have found something in one another and look to hold on through the ups and downs of a new love story.

Finally, Jack and Summer, seemingly the most mismatched characters, have delved right in to marriage and a family of their own. When tragedy strikes part of Jack’s family Summer is there to support and help him realize that he can have it all. Choices have always been at the forefront for both Jack and Summer. Now they are choosing each other for better or worse

what an end!
This season of The Marriage Auction was a whirlwind of emotions for each and every couple aswell as for us readers.

I had the best time reading about all of their storys. I loved how interconnected some of the characters where to eachother and how we got to see some parts from Alana as well. My favorite couple just has to be Jack and Summer (an little TJ). All characters had their ups and downs but I fell in love with those two super fast.

Gio and Julianne have an open end to their story in my opinion. It ended with a happy end but I think it wont be finished yet due to some of the circumstances.

Rhodes and Maia's story.. I loved it. I cant wait to see if Emily and Zach are getting a book. Maia and Rhodes happy end was very very though and they had to fight alot with outside forces to get where they are now.

and last but not least Memphis and Naomi.. Those two.. I seriously loved how those two stuck together through thick and thin. Through every possible stone that was laid in their way. Especially when it was her family.

I loved the ending of the couples in book 4 of Season 2 of the marriage Auction. I am excited for Marriage Auction after dark for Diego Salazar the mafia boss and then I am excited for the matchmaking Alana is getting ready to do for Bruno and the bartender Holly from the dive bar. I really enjoyed this episode because we see the ending for all of these couples. The four couples are now married. Some have children on the way or have had children and others have children from their spouses. I loved that it didn't just happen easy, they had to fight for their relationship from within and from without. I love Alana and now her mentee Jade. To think that Jade was going to go through the process and decided she couldn't do it, so Alana took her under her wing and mentored her to become Madame Jade. I am excited about who Autumn will end up with maybe she will be substituted for the woman who Diego didn't want in the auction. Love Audrey Carlan and I guess I will have to go to Vella to see what's happening in the auction series.

No! It cannot be over yet!

The Marriage Auction 2, Book Four is the wrap up of the second auction and I did not think I could be any more emotionally involved in these characters lives. The characters grabbed hold and did not let go. Soooo good! Plenty of family and friend support, drama, danger and spice. This book is creatively written with some unexpected events and conclusions to wonderful overall plots.

I recommend starting this series from the beginning with 1001 Dark Nights Madam Alana which is a prequel novella. Then move on to The Marriage Auction Book One and go forward from there. This series has made for a wonderful binge read!

I am really hoping Audrey Carlan does indeed expand this world into the spin off series she has teased us with at the end of this book. There were plenty of tempting secondary characters we have met along the way that got my attention and as bad boy as they seem should make for some excellent drama!

Lastly, look for 1001 Dark Nights: A Christmas Auction: A Marriage Auction Novella which is Bruno’s story and who can forget Bruno!!

In the final book of season 2 of the Marriage Auction, the author, Audrey Carlan, wraps up the story beautifully for each couple, giving the reader what they need…answers! I honestly didn’t think the writing could get even better than the last book, but boy, Ms. Carlan is an artist with her words! She truly outdid herself. I don’t have words for how much I loved this final book in the season. The one thing I will say is it took some time to get used to the serialized writing of these books, but that’s where Audrey Carlan is an evil genius. She wrote this story in a way where you want to get to the juicy bits but have to read the other couples' stories too. And then Ms. Carlan drops another bomb, and you must keep reading. Overall, just brilliant!

The Marriage Auction 2 : Book 4

Season 2 of The Marriage Auction was so incredible, super intense with gun fights and explosions that forever changed the lives of the Auction candidates. I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to read! My heart was literally in my throat throughout most of the four books. You will laugh, you will cry, you will be terrified for the characters involved, and most importantly you will fall in love with these four couples. Their journeys are all unique to them and Jack & Summer were the couple I most fell in love with this season. Their journey is so beautiful and tragic it will gut you and give you hope at the same time. This book/series is a definite must read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I feel like this seasons auction had more storyline or more intersecting /interconnected storyline. I liked that! I don't like the ending. I don't feel settled. I think Summer/ Jack should have been adopting or fostering kids. I feel like Maia/Rhodes would've been an amazing foster home; maybe more to teens and/or runaways. Don't even get me started with Alana and Christophe. This was the most upsetting set! Alana knows what every candidate needs and how to help and yet when she and Christophe need that, it's like she completely lost all logic.
I still love it as a whole. It did hit a couple of real life couple topics with I did cry at when they were addressed. Jules/Gio was just heartbreaking. Memphis, I just loved him and his family.

Slight disappointment.
Still completely mesmerized! I'm so in love with these characters. I'm invested. I can't believe I lost sleep trying to find out what happened next.
I NEEDED more of Memphis & Naomi. I want to know more about them. It was sad to get more details about the future for all the other couples, even Madam Alanna, but a short glimpse into the world of those two. Memphis is one of the people who carried over from Season 1 and I was so looking forward to his story. If I'm being honest, the Jack and Summer story could have ended for me in book 3. Once I had the answer to the big question, I was fine with their story.

5 star Review The Marriage Auction (Season 2, Volume 4) by Audrey Carlan

When I read the blurb for this series, I just had to read it as I was intrigued. There was so much going on in this book that I had trouble putting it down when real life got in my way.

Each person has a different reason for entering into the Marriage Auction and that is what made this so entertaining. The characters were easy to relate to and their stories intriguing, There was a good balance of romance and heat with strong determined women who have goals and are focused on seeing them achieved, no mater the cost.

This was well written and I cannot wait for more in the series.

The Marriage Auction is a series I love and I've loved getting to know the new four couples for Season 2. However, I listened to book four away from the first three books and I think it may have changed the flow of the books. The couple I wanted to focus the most on as Julianne and Gio, while I found myself skipping past Alanna's drama (it just didn't interest me), Yuk & Summer (too cheesy) and Memphis & Naomi (repetitive). So while I liked it and felt all of the narrators knocked it out of the park, I didn't love the entire book. I did enjoy the epilogues and I look forward to Season 3.

Thank you Brilliance Publishing for the gifted ALC.

The marriage auction is over and the couples are finding ways to get through their challenges. While every relationship has its challenges, not all are started by the signing of a legally binding contract.

I predicted that some of the troubles between some of the couples would come together and I was right. I appreciated how the couples had so many different types of problems that they had to work through. Some were emotionally challenging while others were life threatening. It made for an interesting read.

This book does not end on a cliffhanger (thankfully)! It does set up for another book. Maybe even another couple of books.

*sigh*

This book was AMAZING!!! By far her best work in this series. I couldn't put the book down. Read it in just 2 days. It would have been 1, but I'm a mom so it took me another day to finish. I just love all the couples in this season 2 of TMA. I'm so sad it had to end. I wish these would continue on. I highly recommend this book to those who are hopeless romantics, who love the idea of love, who enjoy a hot, make you blush, and look around as you read to see if anyone is looking at you kind of love making. Definitely for adults! Audrey Carlan is by far one of the best authors I have came across. Please please please don't let TMA end...

Omg, where do I begin? I highly recommend you read The Marriage Auction book one first. It's not necessary, but it helps you understand the characters a little better. Audrey Carlan is a master at keeping you engrossed in her characters. You may not have much in common with some of them, but she draws you into their world, and you can't wait to see what she has in store for them. This series will make you laugh, then cry. Hold you in suspense as your trying to figure out the bad guys. Absolute delight to read and I highly recommend it!

My whole emotional register was going and when it ended I just wanted to read more because it just can't end like this.

loved the ending to this series

We are down to the 4th book of this series, but it can’t be read as a standalone. Make sure you read the other books before hand. for one second I thought Audrey was going to let her foot go off of the gas, boy was I wrong.
We still get the four love stories simultaneously, and the couples are still getting to know one another. When you read this book or series you feel like so much time has passed, but it’s really like one month. We still are on this roller coaster ride. The families/couples are going through so much. This storyline for this series is still darker, grittier, with more suspense, but also full of love, patience, understand and a lot of spice. I loved the arc of all the characters and the final wrap of from Audrey on all the couples was just what the doctor ordered. I can’t wait to read the new spin off The Marriage Auction: After Dark. I can’t wait to reason season 3 it will continue to be episodic until all the story’s are released at the end. The audiobook for this book comes out in 10 days or so can’t wait to listen

I’m not crying, you’re crying. All I can say is wow! Audrey Carlan really out did herself with Season 2 of TMA. Book 4 was filled with so much! There was not a single rock left unturned. She truly wrapped up this book and season beautifully and set things up for Season 3 and the spinoffs. If I could describe the ending for the Season 2 characters is this book really wrapped things up nicely with a pretty bow. I am so sad I finished but so happy there will be more books coming. I never want TMA Series to end. Audrey deserves all of the stars.

Another cliffhanger on book 3 brings you into 4. Thank goodness we made it to Book 4, because these poor couples need a break! Our couples are working through their trauma, and the pieces you have been trying to put together will finally fall into place. Just when you think it is over, BAM! The romance is beautiful, and the thriller parts will leave you on the edge of your seat and laughing at times. I hope there is a dark romance spin off for my favorite mob king! As always, in Audrey fashion, she gives me anxiety, breaks my heart, and puts me all back together again in the end.

Marriage Auction

This is the second series I have enjoyed, what a journey, this series like the first has all the emotions. I have laughed, been sad, intrigued, excited, been fearful, thoughtful and cried! Once I started book 1 I was pulled into their individual lives. Miss Garland style of writing and her understanding of human nature, especially the dark side pulls you in,you just have to read on to find out how they resolved their issues. I thoroughly recommend reading this series. Can't wait for the next book. Thank you Miss Carlan I was deeply entertained.

The Marriage Auction Season 2 had me all in my feels. Each new couple brought a fresh and exciting take after season one which was a showstopper and holds a special place in my heart! This season 2 was an emotional and captivating hurricane with so much drama, intrigue, betrayal, truth, pain and breathtaking love! Audrey has a magnificent way of pulling me in like I’m right there living inside the story and I wouldn’t want it any other way!! This series is absolutely addicting and I’m excited for her next adventure The Marriage Auction: After Dark.

Needs to be a TV series!!!

So many jaw dropping twists! Audrey’s ability to write five incredible plots lines into one book while weaving all of them together is nothing short of amazing. Each couple including Alana and Christophe is met with challenges, excitement and danger. So many moments you can almost see yourself there and relish in every emotion. Each character is so perfectly developed and their relationships woven together with individualistic beauty. I want to crawl inside the pages and hang out there over and over again!!

Nothing I say here would accurately reflect how I felt about this book or the entire second half of this auction.

The suspense/action - terrible.
The romance - terrible.
The HEAs - uneventful.

I truly think the only characters I ended up caring about were Jack and Summer and MAYBE Julianne and Giovanni.

Memphis and Naomi had so much potential at the start, but their story ended up being so underwhelming that I was speeding up the audio just to get through the chapters.

Rhodes and Maia were great until the insta-love/insta-mom vibe. I loved that Maia could connect with Emily after the traumatic experience she had, but it was just a little too unbelievable for me.

Overall, it took me way too long to finish this book. Not a fan, not a fan.
