Celebrity therapist Elise Close arrives at a luxurious ski lodge in Aspen to face the chill of the Harrington family’s secrets, not the slopes.
The former tech mogul and his silent wife hide more than their wealth—they may hold the key to an adoption shrouded in coercion and a girl's cold case disappearance.
As Elise weaves through the fabric of lies and half-truths in her therapy sessions, her professional poise is threatened, blurring the lines between fact and her fragmented memory.
Can she outsmart the saboteur and bring warmth to a long-frozen truth?
Or will her own mind betray her before the final thaw?

This was my first book from this author, and it was book 3. I am not sure why as I write this sort review that has Elise Close and Molly Black as the authors.
I enjoyed this psychological thriller. A psychologist was hired by the olderst sister (family consisted of 2 girls and 1 boy...he's the youngest) to try to mend the rift between the oldest sister and the two other siblings. As she spent time with each sibling, she didn't know who to believe. Neither would discuss the parents.
A little background. The oldest sister is rich, husband recently passed. There seems to be jealousy between the sibling because of fame. However, the other two siblings live together. The oldest sister seems to be paranoid. There is a divide between oldest and the two other siblings.
As the story progresses, the psychologist finds herself about to be murdered; her brother and sister are arrested; the FBI solve a case they have been chasing... Have I peeked your interest?
It’s hard for me to rate these books because they are so different than what I normally read. Short and very fast paced but it’s nice to read these in between slow burns. This was the best out of the first 3.
