This book is heavier than Signals and Systems but Kumar is a good guide. He will walk you through feedback and response, open and closed systems, responsive and anticipatory systems, and work through examples, you will make use of concepts in his book Signals and systems and build from there. It is very heavy going but doable. recommended.
