Mary starts to work for a new wealthy family in Georgia where she'll help with the house cleaning and will take care of children and she soon realizes something is amiss as she finds her predecessor's possessions in her room. The family has strange behaviors, the grandmother is suffering from dementia, the mother has a peculiar behavior as she talks alone quite often, the father is rather distant from everything and the daughter and son are aggressive. She'll discover that there are two crimes that need to be searched and she'll invest all her heart to bring justice to the deceased.
Fast-paced, with a good plot, One Last Breath could be even better if it better proofreading had been done.

Who's Deirdre McCoy?
Being like a younger version of Miss Marple or Jessica Fletcher, there's always a body to be found in Mary's vicinity sooner or later, and Blake Pierce brilliantly ramps up the tension that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, turning the pages furiously to find out what's next.
The various antagonists and peripheral characters are fleshed out as we're drawn deeper into the mystery at the manor.
The results of Mary's investigation will surprise you and satisfy your curiosity, so grab a copy of One Last Breath and don't forget to breathe to release the tension!

Mary comes back to the states and takes a part-time Governess /p to time housekeeper job in Savannah, Georgia. It's not long before she finds clues to at least one but possibly two murders. This one has a surprise ending.
