I just love these books and this one doesn't disappoint. Tru is a great person, a unicorn and vampire who needs magic blood, she falls for Xander first, but that is never reciprocated and she ends up having an absolute nightmare because of him, which leads her to her real mate and an eventual love that will last forever. Her friends Justin a vampire and Story the pixie help her, but Justin gets hit by the bad guys. It's a sad loss but all ends well really, because Tru is stronger and her magic is much stronger as well.
You just have to read it, the stories are really well written and fun to read.

Being a misfit, no matter the world, is hard & painful
When you’re raised by only one person, they become your everything. In Tru, her grandfather not only sees her mum, who he couldn’t save, he sees everything she can be. So, he trains her for the purpose of protecting herself, as it is most likely, when or if she is ever discovered, she’ll be killed. With that constant threat over her life, she has very few friends, & when her grandpa passes, she’s tossed into the street. Until someone realizes who she actually is…a half breed shifter female. Females that are so rare, they will do anything to have her. So, with her freedom gone, & the animals, ordering her to become a breeding program, she finds her own way out. In all honesty, she knows it will make her enemies, but with her new friends, & freedom on the line, she acts. As she does, she exposes her face & origins to every supernatural & Dick & Jane there is. Even the angel she has bonded with, changes. Can she make it through to a happy ever after, where she’s to be protected, cherished, & loved? I think we’ve all wondered about that. Great characters, great word building, & I cannae wait to finish the rest!

Very enjoyable
Tru Dennison is a vampire/unicorn hybrid. How much trouble can she find? Turns out, quite a bit.
I found this series so entertaining and fun! I love how slightly crazy and sassy Tru is. She has lots of stubbornness and a heart of gold. This series was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from highest of highs to lowest of lows, and Brogan Thomas dragged me right on through it all! Loved it!

Guilty pleasure
The main character is a shameless Mary Sue, yet at the same time is often unbelievably dense. Plot twists with zero or even 100% conflicting foreshadowing come one after another enough to make your head spin. You name a rule of good writing and this series probably breaks it ten times. I honestly kind of hate myself for it, but somehow it was still a genuinely fun read and I couldn't put it down.

This was the best book ever. I loved the way Xander was handled. Minor spoiler or really major one so stop reading now!!!
I never liked Xander and she got the better deal with the demon mate. It's a shame the demon acted a thousand times better then the idiot angel.

Awesome Series
I absolutely loved these books. I couldn't put them down. So many unexpected twists and turns. I love how it turned out and the author doesn't leave you hanging when you finish the series. I would love to see more of Trump in the future!

great adventure
Love the characters and main character Tru is both gross and entirely loveable. These books did not help my insomnia one bit. Ah well… very appreciative for the laughs in the midnight hours!

Fun, urban fantasy!
I'm definitely emotionally invested in Brogan's characters and the world they inhabit. Love the thought-slang as it gives Tru her own voice, and her own sometimes reluctant emotional attachments to her family and friends, enemies and allies.

These 3 books combine to delight the senses. You can nearly smell the blood, and you sure cry at some betrayals.
