I have been writing since I was 14 but never finished the books that I had started.
Silver Moon Kiss was my first and it is currently being rewritten and I'm excited that it will be released next year.

The Second Alpha Heir is my first self-published book. It is due to be released on June 14th with both E-book and Paperback.

I am a wife and mother of 3 with 5 German Shorthair pointers and I'm also hoping to get into Nursing school. I like to hunt and watch my kids grow up into the people that I know they can be.

Ok well let’s try this again since my last review didn’t post!

This is a second chance, age gap, fated mates romance that follows mainly Fins POV, which I love! Fin is alpha of the pack without a mate. Between being constantly harassed by his uncle and pressure to take a mate by the pack, he finally asks a girl to be his chosen, only to have her ripped away.

This kinda just sets how utterly lost he becomes and how angry he gets towards the moon goddess, but she has other plans for him! By plans I mean a fated mate that won’t take anything from anyone and is as hard headed as he is! Which makes them the perfect pair!

C. L. always has amazing writing and I highly recommend this book! Although I think trigger will still always be my number one!

Well, what can i say i love shifters. I love how the characters developed over time. I kind of not liking the first 11 chapters tho. 😕It doesn’t really set well with me, kind of fast pace for me too. Glad it changed after that. It was good. Love the banter between the main characters. Love all the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️spices too😆😆😆. I just think some adjustments needed. Like where to put commas, i need to reread the sentence to get it sometimes but i understand as the author said about the new editor and all. Overall it’s a great read. Thank you author🤗

I would definitely recommend reading the first book in this series to complete the picture. This story is told from a different character's perspective, but there are overlapping events. There's almost two parts to this story; the rogue wolf years and the pack alpha times. It felt a bit rushed through the rogue section, with time jumps of years every few pages. Once Fin regains his alpha status, the story slows down and flesh out. Nikita and Fin were an interesting couple, both with tragic backstories and not what the other expected. They make it work and enjoy their time together 😏 I liked that Nikita was a warrior because it gave her power in a male dominated world. Fin respected her and gave her the freedom to thrive. I liked secondary characters in this world, so I may need to pick up book one and learn another side of the story!

It's been some time since I've read a werewolf book. So I was pretty excited to start this one!

I'm not sure how it happend. But at first I thought it was a story about Nolan his brother that died. So in the beginning I was so confused by this book. But that was more mine fault then the book 😂.

The beginning of the book goes pretty fast. But I don't really mind that. It's more the story about how Fin got to the group who helps Nolan in the first book. So it was move to read that! After chapter 11 or so it slows down a bit again with him finally finding his true mate!

I really loved her and not wanting to give into the mate bound immediately. But like every other shifter romance in the end she does and all is well ❤️. Well not really because there still happens a lot after that! Maybe a little bit to much for my liking. But it still was so good! It was so fun to see how everything was connected to the first book in the end.

Also the breeding trope has my hormones running to all places 🏃😅🥵. And the spice in this book is just really 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I really hope there is coming more to read about this wolve pack's. Because I really love them and already miss them!

(I got this book as a ARC)

The moon goddess really did Fin dirty. This poor guy went through it. Then years down the road he was still suffering. Finally, we meet Nikita and she was fiery I liked her. I was so mad at her alpha. Like really mad. His stupid plans he had planned for them. I was happy when they finally figured it out and were able to relax some. The plot was well thought out and entertaining. I do feel like the ending was rushed. It was a good ending and all loose ends were tightened but it was so quick. Overall I enjoy d this and would pick up another by this author.

This book was so good. I was so happy to be back in this world and to see Nolen again after reading his book.

I didn't expect this book to have this many twists but it works out so perfectly and keeps you entertained the whole way. I definitely love this alpha series and can't wait for the rest.

This book follows Nikita and Fin and their love story. I do want to say that i didn't love the whole chosen part in the beginning but then later on i do get it and we can se that Fin is very relaxed now that he is older and not a youngster anymore and that gave him a certain charm. I did enjoy that a lot more than i though i would.

This werewolf book was really great and i loved it so much. It was spicy as well because he has a chosen mate very early in the book so it is spicy but there is enough storyline to make this book so entertaining.

Highly recommend this book series. I did love it so much.

This is nikita and fins story.
Fin has been searching for his fated mate but when he cant find her,he takes a chosen one.
After a few months of being happy,he loses his chosen mate and unborn pup in a horrible way.he then goes rogue.
Here he is sent on a mission to find other alphas and find the propherised alpha and once this is done his fated mate is introduced to us.
Nikita is a strong independent female and is used to being able to take care of herself, but everything to do with her pack is not what it seems.
As soon as fin and nikita lock eyes they know they are fated.
You feel for what fin had gone through and his journey afterwards, but he knew that he had gone against the goddess and that nikita was his destiny and always has been.
Together they are strong and nikita finds out shes not who she thought she was and with fin by her side they find out who she really is.
I absolutely loved how protective fin was with nikita and i cant wait to read more from this author

Absolutely loved this book! I love all things shifters, romance and age gap!

I couldn’t put it down.

This book is about settling for someone who isn’t your fated mate, losing your chosen mate, having family destroy your life, finding your true fated mate and much more.

We meet Fin who is the Alpha and he decides to chose his own mate because he needs a Luna and is tired of waiting. Things go down hill as the Goddess doesn’t like you changing what she has fated for you. So he goes thru anger, loss and losing his position as Alpha. He goes thru many trials and tribulations until things start to change.

This was such a great read! I highly recommend.

So I really like this werewolf shifter romance. I really enjoyed the plot, and the personal growth the MMC had.

This Paranormal Romance is a spicy read full of mystery.
The books romance is a quick burn, as expected with most mate bond tropes.
The book does have several descriptive spicy scenes once the romance is established.
The MCs are written with strong personalities, and stay true to them throughout the entirety of the book.
The world building is clean, and easy to follow.
The book is fast paced, moving quickly from one event to the next.

This is a book about trusting fate to find your fated mate.
It focuses on Fin, being hassled from his pack to take a mate. Fate takes away the mate that is chosen so he can finally meet the one fated for him.
This is in Fin’s POV which does make a change as it is normally in the females perspective.
The first part of the book is really fast paced but it does slow down later on when his fated mate is introduced.
I really enjoyed this book and in the end I stayed up until the early hours of the morning to read it. 5 stars!

3.5 rounded up
This was a fast paced shifter story. It could have used more editing due to fragments and comma use, but the author said she was trying out a new editor and would not be using them again.
The story itself was good, with the mmc being protective and trying to do what's right for his pack while navigating horrible events. The fmc was feisty and strong, and the love element was strong in multiple ways.
Make sure to read the trigger warnings, especially for family related things.

This is a second chance, age gap, fated mates romance that follows mainly Fins POV, amazing fact since almost all books are female's perspectives!

Due to family pressure Fin asked a she-wolf to be his chosen mate, even though they were not fated. His family is not happy. Nobody is happy. That she-wolf is ripped away from him.

Soooo when the moongodess comunicate with him that the has a mission… he is… skeptical haha.

It really is a great book. It has drama, hot shifters, romance, lost family reunited, babies…

It's my first time reading this author and i highly reccomend it!

A wonderful story full of suspense and love. I really like Fin as a character and the choices he had to make along his journey to get to where he was destined to be. I did not see the main antagonist being who it was at all.

Loved this book. The characters are all very well written and I really enjoyed the ‘who-done-it’ vibe from the book. It had me questioning right up until the end. Really enjoyable read!

You get introduced to Fin in The Second Alpha Heir. If you haven’t read that, I recommend that you do before reading this book.

The wait was worth it, Fin’s story is finally here!

If you want a story that has an age gap, an alpha male, an alpha female, amazing supporting characters and some serious spice, then you came to the right place.

Fin finally gets to tell his story. With happiness sometimes tragedy strikes. Things happen for a reason. Your choices truly affect the future.

Nikita, is his second chance at a life he was suppose to have. You see both their backstories come to life and you start questioning a lot. Like who is the real monster of this story is, I guess you’ll have to find out like I did. Happy Reading!

🐺The Fallen Alpha is a werewolf fantasy-romance novel, following Dolostone Pack's Alpha Fin through the heartbreaks, betrayals, dangers and, finally, happy moments, he has to go through in order to find his peace, his fated mate and his place in the pack.
🐺From the get-go, Fin is introduced to the readers as an Alpha who has lost almost all hope of finding his fateful mate. Therefore, when he meets Kalila, a mate-rejected werewolf from another pack, and they hit it off, he asks her to be his life partner, his chosen mate - his Luna.
🐺They have a beautiful and happy life together, managing to bring prosperity to the pack. Soon enough, Kalila falls pregnant. Fin is overjoyed, but their happiness is short-lived. Wade, Fin's uncle, who had been targeting the Alpha position from quite some time, kills Kalila in front of Fin's eyes and sends him into the dungeons. Freed by Harlen, Fin takes the rogue road and promises to come back stronger.
🐺During the rogue years, the Mood Goddess tries and fails multiple times in persuading Fin to help her with a secret task. When another wolf, sent by the same Moon Goddess, barges into Fin's world, he doesn't have a choice but to accept that he is involved in something bigger than him. After they are united with two more wolves, the search for 'the prophesied Alpha' begins. They meet Nolen, another Alpha who lost his pack, and the Goddess tells them he is the one they were looking for. consequentially, they start training him and preparing him to get his pack back.
🐺Nolen gets reinstated as an Alpha and, helped by Beta Harlen, Fin reclaims his own Alpha title. Trying to rebuild his pack and make new alliances, Fin visits the Shonkinite pack's Alpha, Roy. When on Shonkinite territory, Fin meets his true fated mate - Nikita, a fierce warrior. From there on, their love story unravels, but it is not devoid of perils, because they are permanently shadowed by Alpha Roy's thirst for vengeance, by an unknown's wolf murders and by Nikita's secrets. Who is, truly, Dolostone's pack new Luna? And, more importantly, where does her allegiance lie?

I`m going to start by saying that a good book should have a fearsome villain and a captivating intrigue. Here, we have our first fearsome villain: uncle Wade. He does, indeed, some unspeakable things. Our intrigue is catching a life of its own: Fin is going rogue and he will meet great people, get through some amazing adventures and he will come back stronger and wiser to wipe the floor with uncle Wade. No? Well... no. Our intrigue dies almost from the get-go, together with uncle Wade. Let`s find another intrigue, I say. The Moon Goddess keeps insisting to give Fin a purpose. He meets some people, they travel together in some semblance of a fellowship, searching for `the prophesied Alpha`. The potential of the book is redeemed, I hoped. They will get through some group adventures and find, after dire efforts, this mysterious `prophesied Alpha`. It`s just that... Nolen, the mighty `prophesied Alpha` was not mysterious at all, he just popped in front of them. Also, they did almost nothing to help him. Training him for about ten pages? Then just popping again into a battlefield and magically managing to reclaim Nolen`s position as Alpha? That`s the great mission? And what was so amazingly prophesized about the guy? Beats me. Did he unite all the packs under a single flag? Did he lead a long lost legend pack of werewolves made of gold and smoke?
Long story short, our intrigue died once again. Our villain died about the same time the second intrigue died. Now what? Fin easily slides back on his rightful `throne`, and we find a new mate and... a new villain. Alpha Roy. Our new intrigue takes the form of Alpha Roy`s revenge for the dumbest reason you could imagine. Let me take that back; there have been dumber ones. Nonetheless, for a dumb and unfounded reason. Therefore, since my villain was a lame one and my intrigue was an eyerolling one, I couldn`t say this book managed to achieve my two prerequisites. `The Fallen Alpha` remains, for me, fallen.

Before getting our hands elbow-deep into the dirt, I just want to say that, in my mind, there are two types of writers: the storytellers and the masters of the written word. I was expecting, at least, a storyteller...

Detailed book analysis, pinpointing and correcting mistakes:
⚠️"Of course he`s young Alpha Fin." page 84 - missing comma (should have been: "Of course, he`s young, Alpha Fin.")
⚠️"Same Alpha Fin. You are looking good after being rogue for a while." - missing comma (should have been: "Same, Alpha Fin.")
⚠️"You know courtesy and all that jazz." - sloppy use of language (`and all that jazz`) and missing comma (should have been: "You know, courtesy and all that jazz")
⚠️"I did that till I was eighteen and then when I didn`t find my mate. I was like, f**k it! But now he was here and what would he do when he found out I hadn`t waited?" - sloppy use of language ('I was like, f**k it!` - I am objectively commenting on the fact that the manner of expression is far from that expected from a writer, even though I understand the contemporary appeal and actuality of such language. Also, the phrasing is lacking conciseness, reading some lines from the book felt like scratching one`s left ear with the right hand) and use of dot instead of comma.
⚠️"I know Delta Kyle." page 93 - missing comma (should have been: "I know, Delta Kyle.")
⚠️"I told you the Moon Goddess would have us a mate! But no, you wanted to wallow. Aloysius scoffed at me as he wagged his tail." page 96 - use of dot instead of comma and, a recurrent problem throughout the whole book, the lack of quotation marks when Aloysius is addressing Fin. The reader has to catch the idea that Aloysius is talking from thin air and, while I didn`t find the internal dialogue so hard to follow, I definitely found it, one again, sloppy.
⚠️"I told him as I spotted Alpha Roy coming up to me. His face was stoic as he stopped in front of me. Nothing like it was when I arrived yesterday." page 96 - use of dot instead of comma (should have been: "His face was stoic as he stepped in front of me, nothing like it was when I arrived yesterday." - It`s not mandatory to use a comma in this situation, the telegraphic style being more and more in trend, but I just feel a book should respect some grammar rules.) AND Alpha Rory (the name used up to the page 93 or 94) has suddenly lost his `r` and we become acquainted with the new and better Alpha Roy. ROY. The character changes his name in the middle of the book, just as they often did in those Wattpad smut stories, where the author (usually some horny teen) didn`t plan beforehand where to land, so the chapters were not always respecting the aforementioned timelines, characters and overall details. And, to be honest, the readers didn`t really care, because it was Wattpad, and we were young, without expectations. Well, flash news - we are not on Wattpad anymore. We are talking about a real book that it`s going to be published and my expectations are a lot higher. I expect, at least, for the author to respect enough her work and her readers to use commas and quotation marks when they are obviously needed. Or, hear me out, though I might overstep - I expect characters to not change their names from one page to another without a plausible cause.
⚠️"The way she said my name and then begged hell I wanted to know what she would be like in bed." page 103 - missing comma (should have been: "The way she said my name and then begged, hell, I wanted to know what she would be like in bed." or even better: "The way she said my name and then begged... Hell, I wanted to know what she would be like in bed.").
⚠️"Enyo I don`t know if I can do this." page 107 - missing comma (should have been: "Enyo, I don`t know if I can do this.")
⚠️"If I leave with him and his Beta. It will mean that is when my mission starts." page 108 - dot instead of comma (should have been: "If I leave with him and his Beta, it will mean that is when my mission starts.")
⚠️"If there were any chance that he would be able to mark me. I would welcome it." page 113 - dot instead of comma ("If there were any chance that he would be able to mark me, I would welcome it.").
⚠️"About time you think like that! I know we are supposed to obey the Alpha, but Fin is out mate. And I never liked being told what to do by that asshole. Enyo piped up as she ran her long tongue over her fangs." page 113 - lack of quotation marks and use of dot instead of comma ("'About time you think like that! I know we are supposed to obey the Alpha, but Fin is out mate. And I never liked being told what to do by that asshole', Enyo piped up as she ran her long tongue over her fangs.")
⚠️"Would he kill me? The mate that he has been searching for? Because he had already told me that he wouldn`t reject me. Knowing that the Moon Goddess would punish him again. So would he kill me." page 113. First of all, it should have been: "Would he kill me? The mate he has been searching for? Because he had already told me he wouldn`t reject me, knowing that the Moon Goddess would punish him again. So... Would he kill me?". Secondly, let`s take a hot minute to take in the absurdity of Nikita`s reasoning. *Sigh*
⚠️"I will Luna. You take care of yourself." page 114 - missing comma (`Luna` has become a verb, guys! Amazing! Seriously speaking, it should have been: "I will, Luna. You take care of yourself.")
⚠️"Fin took hold of my hand and brought it up to my lips. The shiver that raced along my skin with the sparks was nothing more than erotic." page 115 - should have been: "nothing less than erotic".
⚠️"'She isn`t ready to be marked yet and if I learned anything from Selene, then being patient is a virtue.' I answered Aloysius as I went into my closet and grabbed some casual clothes to wear to the dinner." page 121 - dot instead of comma ("'She isn`t ready to be marked yet and, if I learned anything from Selene, then being patient is a virtue', I answered Aloysius as I went into my closet and grabbed some casual clothes to wear to the dinner.")
⚠️"Not like you really needed to know any of that and if you still have a problem with me. We can meet at the training pitch." page 123 - use of dot instead of comma ("Not like you really needed to know any of that and, if you still have a problem with me, we can meet at the training pitch.")
⚠️"Fin. He was confident in me and I knew why he was because I had taken down a wolf almost as big as him. When he showed up at my pack." page 124 - unnecessary use of dot and lack of a colon punctuation mark (should have been: "Fin. He was confident in me and I knew why he was: because I had taken down a wolf almost as big as him when he showed up at my pack.")
⚠️"I never was vocal in bed it just wasn`t something I did." page 128 - missing dot (should have been: "I never was vocal in bed. It just wasn`t something I did.")
⚠️"One Enyo was keeping me from doing it and then the thought of the soul-crushing depression that would come after he was gone would be my downfall." page 130 - missing comma and ':' (should have been: "One: Enyo was keeping me from doing it and, then, the thought of the soul-crushing depression that would come after he was gone would be my downfall.")
⚠️"Harlen. I think Alpha Roy still has control of Nikita. Can you do some digging? I really don`t understand why he would." page 133
⚠️"Luna Adia grabbed Nikita`s hand and smiled at her, but Alpha Roy just scowled at their hands. Something was up with him and I intended to find out what. If not tonight, then soon. Because Harlen was still looking into how Kalila and Alpha Roy were related." page 133 - inconsistency (I`ve written before the order Harlen received from Fin. Harlen wasn`t looking into how Kalila and Alpha Roy were related, Harlen was looking into the way Roy managed to control Nikita. The blood relation between Kalila and Alpha Roy was a secret that neither Harlen, nor Alpha Fin, could or should suspect yet. At least, that`s what the book shows.)
⚠️"Alpha, these things take time. I have to make sure no will expect me." page 136 - missing word (should have been: "Alpha, these things take time. I have to make sure no one will expect me.")
⚠️"I will Alpha. But I need time." page 136 - missing comma (I will Alpha, you will Alpha, we will Alpha... another great new verb! It should have been: "I will, Alpha. But I need time.")
⚠️"I stammered as the soft, willowy giggle came from her. F**k she was here to punish me for what I was planning on doing." page 136 - missing comma.
⚠️"I had to tell him who I was and no I`m not here to punish you." page 136 - Say what? I dabble into treacherous waters with this guess, but maybe it means to say: "
⚠️"'Be the strong Luna that I know you are. That I made you to be. Because I wouldn`t have given Fin you if I knew he wouldn`t be to match your energy.'" page 137 - sloppy use of language (In my opinion, this phrase can be considered a bit unconventional or awkward in its structure. While it can convey the intended meaning with the right context, it might come across as unclear or clumsy to some readers, myself included. To make it clearer and more grammatically conventional, the author could rephrase it. Here are a few alternatives: "I wouldn`t have given you to Fin", "I wouldn`t have let Fin have you", "I wouldn`t have allowed you to be with Fin" etc)
⚠️"I threw her on the floor and stalked up to her. As Harmony came around the corner. `You can either get on board with this or we will continue to have bad blood between us. You both can choose.' Jade`s eyes flitted behind me and before I could turn, she had blurted out. 'Why should I have to choose when I know that you and that Alpha that just left is planning on killing my Alpha?' The smirk on her face told me that the person was Fin." page 139 - unnecessary dot, ambiguity, misuse of tense. It would have been better: "I threw her on the floor and stalked up to her. As Harmony came around the corner. `You can either get on board with this or we will continue to have bad blood between us. You both can choose.' Jade`s eyes flitted behind me and before I could turn, she blurted out: 'Why should I have to choose when I know that you and the Alpha that just left are planning on killing my Alpha?' The smirk on her face told me Fin was standing right behind me, hearing every single word she said."
⚠️"'I had come from a pack that was an enemy and she thought I was going to kill her husband. But all I wanted was to be able to be with Harlen.'" page 146 - sloppy use of language (it would have sounded better like this: "
⚠️"The thought of Kalila standing next to him instead of me twisted my stomach. Just because it was our destiny to be together. Why did she take the person that he cherished?" page 148 - dot instead of comma, ambiguity. It should have been: "The thought of Kalila standing next to him instead of me twisted my stomach. Just because it was our destiny to be together, why did the Moon Goddess take the person that he cherished from him?"
⚠️"And I wanted to make sure before we didn`t have the chance to was to talk about the idea of pups." page 151 - it would have been better like this: "And I wanted to make sure we didn`t miss the chance to talk about the idea of pups." or "And what I wanted to make sure we did before we didn't have the chance was to talk about the idea of pups.". The second version is closer to the original, but lacks fluidity and conciseness.
⚠️"'Feisty wolf, just remember you let this happen again. There`s an even greater chance of you getting pregnant.'" page 155 - misuse of tenses (I feel like the author wanted to convey a warning through this phrase, not to simply provide some facts. Consequentially, it should have been: ""Feisty wolf, just remember if you let this happen again, there's an even greater chance of you getting pregnant.")
⚠️"Fin`s hands went under my a**, bringing my core closer to the bulge in his pants. One that I was trying my hardest to get out and slip inside of me." page 159 - dot instead of comma
⚠️"It had been a long day and Fin hadn`t minklinked me or spoke to me since he went into the meeting." page 164 - typo ('minklinked' instead of 'mindlinked')
⚠️"You`re thinking about me again my feisty wolf. I jumped when his voice entered my mind." page 166 - lack of quotation marks
⚠️"'This way Alpha Roy and Luna Adia.'" page 168 - missing comma ("'This way, Alpha Roy and Luna Adia.'")
⚠️"They both followed the omega into the house while Fin held my attention. I didn`t feel as uncomfortable as before with him being here. But I was worried about Fin." page 168 - ambiguity, dot instead of comma, missing comma. It would have been better: "They both followed the Omega into the house, while Fin held my attention. I didn`t feel as uncomfortable as before with Alpha Roy being here, but I was worried about Fin."
⚠️"'That f***ing piece of shit. Thinking that he could tell me how to run my back.'" page 169 - typo
⚠️"Damn him and his tongue! Nikita you taste amazing. I think you`re going out of heat. Fin`s voice in my head made me squirm while..." page 174 - missing quotation marks
⚠️"Feisty wolf you`re supposed to be screaming my name. And I can`t hear it with my ears." page 174 - missing quotation marks
⚠️"The only thing that would be okay with it. Was that I wouldn`t get pregnant if I continued to be in heat. But that also meant that I would be jumping him every time that I could." page 175 - excruciatingly sloppy use of language. It would have been better: "The only good thing about it was that I wouldn’t get pregnant if I continued to be in heat. However, it also meant that I would be all over him (or 'jumping him', if you prefer it so much) every chance I got."
⚠️"'I think Alpha Fin and his Luna needs to get a room.'" page 191 - verb conjugated at the wrong person ('needs' has to be 'need')
⚠️"'Your fine Alpha Nolen. I`m not offended.'" page 192 - missing comma, use of `your` instead of `you're`
⚠️"I laughed as the expression on Harlen`s face gave me `the don`t I know it` look." page 194 - misplaced quotation mark ("I laughed as the expression on Harlen`s face gave me the `don`t I know it` look.")
⚠️"It had only been twelve hours since Nikita had been brought to the hospital. But if food was going to keep him off my back. Then food is what I would get him." page 195 - dot instead of comma ("It had only been twelve hours since Nikita had been brought to the hospital, but if food was going to keep him off my back, then food is what I would get him.")

I'm glad I received this book as a arc. C. L. Ledford did a amazing job, it a paranormal romance. The story in this book is fabulous, I did cry a little bit, in the beginning, as the story goes on about Fin and his story and his pack, I couldn't put this book down. The dedication is very good. I can't wait to read her books.

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
This romantasy tale tells the story of exiled former Alpha werewolf Fin and his search to find his fated mate. It is the second in a series but can stand alone.

The story is quite complicated and without giving away any spoilers, the plot basically follows Fin as he loses his pack, is exiled and eventually makes his way back to Alpha status. He is also looking for his fated mate, but decides to choose a life partner instead of waiting for her (she eventually appears later in the book). The romance storyline and the werewolf pack intrigue receive equal attention but there are also some good spicy scenes which reinforce the love story.

This book was very slow to get into, with a lot of time being given to setting up the back story of Fin and the other rogues he meets while on exile from his pack. I thought the main character was his friend Nolan but he was the MMC in the first book in this series. Knowing this would have helped me get into the book initially but otherwise the book works as a stand alone. Ledford has a refreshing take on werewolves in that the wolf part of the were is like a separate persona that lives within the mind of the human and talks internally to it.

Once Finn met his fated mate I really got into the story. There were some great spicy scenes but also some lovely tender moments between them. There was a good mystery about Finn’s mate’s family and the sabotage that was happening between the packs. I really appreciated the depth of having so many layers to the plot. Would recommend this one for lovers of the paranormal 🐺.

An intense storyline from start to finish! There is a lot happening in this storyline but it all flows nicely to make a very well put together story. This book is part of the Cairn Land Series.

Fin is definitely a stubborn alpha. He refuses to accept anything he is told about his future or things he could be involved in. Past traumatic events in his life have made him not want to interact or trust others. But after a lot of time he finally embraces who he was meant to be and becomes a great alpha for his pack.

Nikita is the best warrior in her pack and doesn’t trust Fin easily. They work together to resolve their issues and become a unified force. I enjoyed how they worked through what they needed to and learned to trust each other and become a better version of themselves.

Overall, it was a great read. I would suggest reading the first book as it does mention events from it which might cause some questions to occur. It is not necessary but it helps.

I love shifter romances. They are one of my guilty pleasures to escape the nuances of real life. This is Fin’s story, and it’s a bit of a hardship. By the title of the book, we know he is a “Fallen” Alpha. Will he bounce back from what life has thrown him? Grab the book and find out! I cannot wait to read the next book, and more books from this author!

As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.

Happy Reading

This is the 2nd book in this series. It’s a 2nd chance, age gap, with both chosen and fated mates. I love how we see our Alpha Fin, grown from an inpatient young alpha to a mature leader. Nikita is his match in every way, and I love how she doesn’t take crap from anyone, not even her alpha. I am not always a fan of shifter romances, but I loved this one.

Great

This story is so good and heartbreaking with what they go through. Fin has a very hard life and has a lot to learn. I found myself wanting to hold him in a hug. Nikita is a sweet and strong woman that has so much taken from her and she didn't know it. I would recommend this book to all
