This is the second book and the sequel to When Pigs Fly.
This being said, it's recommended that these books be read together and in order to get the most from the characters and the storyline.
Following on from where we left Summer and Kash in the first book, we follow their journeys as they spread their wings and explore new experiences.
I absolutely loved these characters and just couldn't get enough of knowing what became of their stories beyond.
The development of their story could not have been more perfect and I honestly adored the way their friendship shone.
Having the traumas of the past still niggling away, Summer really had to allow herself to heal before allowing others in to help her become the person she needed and wanted to be.
There were lessons here for all of us and the addition of the new characters enhanced that teaching.
We all get to caught up in the past and it's so easy to let the present pass us by without really noticing.
I loved Jimmy for this - slow down and focus on the now.
Once again the writing style was beautiful. Flowing well and really sucking us right into the story along with all the characters.
It was definitely an emotional read - times of joy and sadness - but I'm becoming a little addicted to books that make me really feel, just as this one did.
I know that this finished off Summer's story perfectly, but I'd be really interested to see what comes next from this author - especially given these were their debut novels!

Pure magic- I read the author's first book and enjoyed it so much, and I was so excited when I found out she was writing another. From the start, it was clear that she grew to become an even better writer than she already was. In a word, her writing is like poetry. Smooth and flowing, with so much emotion and thought put into each word. I really enjoyed the continuation of Summer and Kash's journey, to see where their lives have taken them. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but suffice to say this is a beautiful and heartfelt story from the author's soul and you will love it.

Krissy you are brilliant!!! I am hooked on thrillers and can struggle to find a book from another genre that grabs my attention and keeps it, however, you have succeeded not once, but twice with your creations!!! I loved the first book of this series When Pigs Fly and while I thought the ending was perfection, I was also hopeful to hear more about Summer’s next chapter (or shall I say book) of life! When I heard about the release of No Such Thing I knew this book was going to be high on my list, and it didn’t disappoint! While you don’t have to read When Pigs Fly to follow along with No Such Thing, the characters will be that much more cherished and the story all the more important to have the full backstory! Be prepared to shed a few tears with this one, but also have the uncontrollable urge to grin ear to ear! Now if only it were possible to visit Two WhisKEYS in real life, I would be buying my ticket!!!

I call this an accidental love story between a woman and a man, a woman and a child, a woman and a dream, and a woman and herself. Summer James’s character development was beautifully written. Even though this is a sequel to “When Pigs Fly,” there’s enough in it that it could stand on its own (but, you’d be missing out if you skipped WPF). Fingers crossed that this becomes a trilogy…

Krissy has done it again! She has knocked it out of the park with her second contemporary fiction novel No Such Thing, which is a sister novel to her debut book When Pigs Fly. Although the book can be read has a stand alone the story is so much more robust and heartwarming when read as a pair.
When we first meet Summer in When Pigs Fly she is in the midsts of repairing her life that has been broken down by so many adults and a system that failed her as a child. In No Such Thing we now see a thriving adult who has taken her own life into her hands and created a life that she loves, while learning to let her self be truly open to being loved even if she may be hurt.
In No Such Thing we also get to learn more about Kash the MMC and his perspective which helps to drive the story forward as Kash just as much as Summer is also working through his own baggage from his childhood.
The characters in this story and beautifully written and the introduction of new characters in Summer and Kash’s life in California create the found family troupe that was present in When Pigs Fly.
In addition to well written characters, Krissy has such a beautiful descriptive way of writing and even if you have never had the pleasure of visiting California (Santa Monica/ Venice/ LA area) you will feel as though you are there on the beach sitting with Summer and Kash watching the sun set over the water.
Lastly I really appreciate the way Krissy writes about trauma and the ways in which her characters deal with/express their trauma. In many books I have read authors write that their characters have trauma and they portray them either over the top or in the case of love stories the MFC meets the MMC and falls in love and bye bye trauma. Krissy presents a very raw and accurate portrait of what it is like living with and working through trauma. That despite finding love, love doesn’t magically cure one’s trauma and that it will always be there and will find ways to creep up on someone when they least expect it.
I cannot recommend this book (the pair of books) enough. It will be a great summer read for all those looking for something!

I absolutely loved getting a peek into the life of Summer and Kash. The emotions that came out of me with this book? THE TEARS?? I cried so many times. Krissy has this phenomenal writing style that is effortlessly easy to read and laced with emotion. Every page has you feeling SOMETHING. I felt so deeply connected to every single character.
The addition of Stella and Jimmy was everything I could have asked for. Jimmy gave so much wisdom and tidbits about how to live life in the moment, that I’m taking some of his thoughts with me through life.
All of the scenes are perfectly described that you can FEEL the salt water in the air and immerse yourself into the story. Was I reading this book on my couch or on the pier because I felt like I was right there with them.
Krissy has yet to fail me with her beautiful words and I am eternally grateful to have created a friendship with such a kind soul. This is an absolute must read. A perfect summer story full of emotions, wisdom, and growth for all of its characters.
The pig at the end? RIP makeup. Sobbed. 😭

This is the duet to When Pigs Fly. To be honest, I was perfectly content with the way WPF ended. (Still best book ending for me.) But when I heard Krissy was writing another book I was so excited and knew it would feel like eternity before I could read it 😂
It does not disappoint!! I love so much of what she did with this book. You see old characters and you meet (and fall in love with) new characters. Their stories are truly wholesome, inspirational, and heartwarming. (Though heartbreaking in places too.)

No Such Thing is a phenomenal sequel to When Pigs Fly by Krissy Lanier. I am overjoyed that we know what happened next with Summer (and Kash).
I once again found myself going through all the emotions while reading. I felt a combination of wanting to sob and laugh with giddiness at the way it ends. It is such a heartwarming and therapeutic read.
I liked the multi pov and the flashbacks throughout. The introduction of Stella brilliantly brought Summer’s story through the stages it needed to end on a HEA that readers have desired and dreamed about since meeting her in When Pigs Fly. I couldn’t have picked a better ending in my wildest imaginings.
The title hit me with its emotional significance at the end like it did in When Pigs Fly. This book will truly touch your heart over and over again.

Thank You Krissy for continuing Summer and Kash's story! I wish there were more stars in the ratings... I am an avid (rabid!!) reader who sometimes reads a book a day, and the "When Pigs Fly" series had me absolutely mesmerized from the start. It's been a long time since a story has captivated me like this one did. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book from this wonderful and talented new author!

This was the perfect companion to the last story! An absolute work of art. We see old friends again and immediately fall in love with new ones. Summer's journey is incredible and I loved seeing her and Kash's growth (both as separate people and together). I was obsessed with every single minute.
If you loved When Pigs Fly, I highly recommend pre-ordering this one and adding it to your summer TBR.

If you read the first book, When Pigs Fly, you will definitely want to read this to see what Kash and Summer have been up to. The writing is really good and it also makes me miss the days of going to dueling piano bars. I really enjoyed it. Definitely give this a read after you read the first one, you will want all the history of the characters first.

Absolutely loved this. Such a heartwarming and beautiful story. This story definitely pulls at all of the emotions. The growth of these characters is so well done. Such a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is a continuation of Summer and Kash's story so if you haven't read When Pigs Fly, you'll want to read that one first.

Easy 5 stars!
Let me start by saying I have never read a book that made me cry or even tear up but that LAST CHAPTER had tears building.
This is such a sweet, emotional, uplifting story. The perfect sequel to When Pigs Fly. Krissy did an amazing job!

I absolutely loved this book, it follows on perfectly from When Pigs Fly. It was such a heartwarming read and I smiled so much reading this. Beautifully written and difficult subjects addressed with compassion. Would recommend to everyone!

Summer and Kash are two of my favorite characters of all time. I enjoyed their character development. I’ve been rooting for summer since book 1 and this book gave her the life she deserves and worked so hard to get. ❤️

This was a great sequel to "When Pigs Fly" as the continuation of Summer and Kash's story. I enjoyed the twists, the growth of the characters, and the love realized. I would recommend.

This book was amazing! Although I highly recommend you start with the first book "When Pigs Fly". I can't say enough about the amazing writing of Krissy! Wow!
This book is a continuation of Summer James' story. She has come so far after such a horrible childhood. Summer learns about herself and how to cope with triggers from an abusive childhood. In this book, she learns how to let herself be loved. It's such an amazingly sweet love story.
There is so much to learn from Summer. I am soo glad I was able to read this wonderful book!
