Buying a vet clinic in a small, backwoods town was supposed to be a fun new adventure, but I never expected my first client to be a giant wolf riddled with silver bullets. Or for him to morph into a man before my eyes.
As alpha of the local werewolf pack, Conall’s as unreasonable as he is sexy. But when his people are no longer able to heal and he asks for my help, I can’t say no—to moonlighting at the compound or to his advances. The big bad wolf manages to set my body ablaze with every look, word, and touch. With his pack on the brink of war, he makes it clear he doesn’t have time for love, but that doesn’t keep me from falling. Same way it won’t prevent his enemies from using me to get to him.

Rebecca Yarros recommended this one in her newsletter and I’m always on the lookout for shifter books. I’ve already laughed out loud a few times and I like the author’s cheeky voice. I’m feeling a lot moody and also not enjoying the instalust. The characters’ thoughts are only centered around how much they physically want the other and they’re overwhelmed by it. I do think there’s a cool mystery subplot that’s developing and would be fun but I’m not in the mood to push through. The writing was enjoyable though, so I’d still recommend trying it to those who like an instalusty connection!
I would have given this a 4 star review if not for all the typos. They started getting bad around 100 pages in and took away from the story when I had to think about who was talking in the conversation because there wasn't a paragraph break to indicate a new speaker. But the story itself was good and kept me entertained throughout.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Dr. Kerrigan Ryan recently lost her grandmother to lung cancer and decided to move. It was a brave thing to do and what her grandmother would want her to do. She bought a vet clinic in a small town Guadalupe Falls, but for a week and a half now her business is dwindling. Everyone goes to another vet in town. One night after closing hours she hears scratching at the back door and sees a big wolf severely injured. She helps him on her exam table and proceeds to treat him.
She turned her back to find another sedative and turned around to a naked male. Imagine her shock at seeing a man with injuries identical to a wolf and he is now healing before her eyes. Conall Shaw, the alpha of The Bridgewater Pack. They immediately clicked and had the funniest banter. He left, and she was curious about him so the following evening she goes to a bar where she proceeds to ask the bartender, Gina for information about him.
The man himself shows up and they take dinner to go at her place. After a case of mistake d identity and a couple of misunderstandings they start to explore their relationship. But everyone from his pack, save a couple of people, is apprehensive of her. They don’t trust outsiders. With the great danger looming over them, will they find happily ever after or be forced apart?
Overall I loved this book very much and can’t wait for more. If you’re looking for a small town, found family, werewolf romance then you’re going to love it.
H: Conall Shaw (Bridgewater Alpha Wolf) h: Dr. Kerrigan Ryan (human vet) It starts when Conall shows up in wolf form at the back door after being shot with silver bullets. Kerrigan being a vet she was able to patch him up and he turned into a human. This is shocking to her and slowly she starts meeting everyone and becomes helping out when the witches start attacking the pack. The story itself was not bad, very entertaining, I just felt it was a little too long and even though it was long, there were characters that could have been kept in the dark. Like the Crescent Pack, this guy that came for help after being attacked by the witch. Then we find out what Frank the alpha (which is really weak) did to cause this war with the witches. But that extra character could have been taken out of the picture as well as the investigator being the Bridgewater territory w/out any of the pack knowing EVEN though they were all "searching" for the witches. Another thing I didn't like was how he treated her, telling her he would never hurt her and on that same page choosing his pack (which I get) over her. Then 5 days later coming back asking for some type of forgiveness and she forgives him right away. Like he didn't even called you in those 5 days but yet everything he did got erased immediately! Other than those little things the story was not bad and I will wait til next book.

Kerrigan buys one of the two vet clinics in Guadalupe Falls to try to be more adventurous but since she is new in town most of the previous clients of the clinic go to the other vet.
But what she didn't know when moving there is that she would find that the paranormal exist. One evening one big dying wolf appears at her door so she tries to help him but when she has gotten all the bullets from him and returns to the table intead of a wolf there's a handsome man. Conall is his pack's alpha so when the new vet in town arrives just when some of his pack mates start to have problems with healing he believes Kerrigan is a witch.
Kerrigan is 100% human but a nerd one who is really attracted to the alpha, so Conall will have to decide if he can keep his hands of her, his mate.
I really enjoyed this book thanks to the hilarious Kerrigan who doesn't loses her patience trying to make the brooding Sasquash smile or laugh. The last chapters are a little bit rushed for me but I'm really excited to continue reading this series.
This book is the perfect blend of humor, romance, and supernatural fun. Madsen’s witty writing and quirky characters make for an entertaining read that had me laughing out loud and swooning all at once.
The story follows a charmingly unconventional setup—werewolves and romance aren’t your everyday 9-to-5, but Madsen makes it work with flair. The chemistry between the main characters crackles with tension and humor, and the banter is on point, adding just the right amount of spice to the mix.
What really sets this book apart is its light-hearted approach to the paranormal. It’s like your favorite rom-com got a supernatural twist, and it’s every bit as delightful as it sounds. The plot moves at a brisk pace, keeping you hooked with its clever twists and romantic sparks.
If you’re looking for a feel-good read that combines laughs, love, and a dash of werewolf magic, “Moonlighting with the Werewolf” is the perfect choice. Cindi Madsen delivers a fun and fluffy adventure that’s sure to leave you grinning from ear to ear!
The story follows Conall and Kerrigan. Kerrigan is a newbie in town. She just purchased the vet clinic and became the new vet in town. Conall is the alpha of the pack. And a bad injury lands him on Kerrigan’s doorstep. So when Kerrigan finds an injured wolf she doesn’t know what will await her. A town filled with mystery, secrets, suspense and more. She is able to help Conall and is comforting and willing to help him and his pack. But that pack is more than reluctant. Of course these two get their happy end. The book is more of an introduction of the storyline and the characters. And the little cliffhanger leads you to what comes next. For paranormal romance fans who love twists, turns, drama, suspense and more.
This story starts off similar to many other werewolf romance stories that I've read before, with a slightly more comedic dialogue. Then, it changes into a unique supernatural drama that will rip your heart out and revive it, in the most unexpected ways. But this is only the beginning, so it ends with a cliffhanger ending. So be prepared. The characters are interesting and diverse personalities. The small town is a creative idea, though not well described, as the focus sticks to only a few locations. And the cover art doesn't match the descriptions of the main characters. It's a good read, but it could have been better.

Moonlighting with the Werewolf by C. Madsen is the first book in the new Bridgewater Pack Series. Kerrigan is new in town. She just purchased the vet clinic, aka she's the town's new vet. Conall Shaw is the pack's alpha and somehow he lands on her doorstep, severely injured. Kerrigan is nothing as fantastic, comforting, successful in helping him and his family. But the pack is more than reluctant to put it mildly. Moonlighting is the start to a fantastic pnr series. It's the introduction to storyline and characters, some are great, some are not really lovable. A series packed with action, suspense, drama, twists and turns that had me guessing till the last chapter. The story ends in a cliffie and I wish to know more about Diego and his life. I recommend the book, 5 stars.
Kerrigan is a vet who buys a clinic in a small town to venture off the beaten path. One Night a wolf ends up at her clinic door bleeding and barely conscious. She fixes him up and he turns into a human. In comes the finding that werewolves exist.
The two of them have a instant pull to each other. They have their ups and downs in the relationship of being together and not however Conall can't stay away.
This story always had me waiting to see was going to happen next. The chemistry between these two was evident and the spice kept it interesting. Then the what is going to happen next kept me not wanting to put the book down. First time reading this author and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The only reason I picked up this book was because I saw an Instagram post from Rebecca Yarros and she recommended it. Also because it was free and I’ll always give a free book a try. Safe to say, I’m glad I didn’t spend money on this book. First of all, the first red flag in this book had to be the instalust and the immediate over protectiveness the MC after having two, maybe three encounters with the girl. Secondly, there were just so many plot twists in this book that towards the end when they had their second or third one I was like “what?! Like what?!” And thirdly, a part of me feels bad for the author because I don’t know who her editor is but they obviously didn’t do a good job because there were so many typos. I will not be picking up the rest of the series.
Most shifter books are light on plot, heavy on "romance", love scenes that read like adult entertainment and very little actual relationship being built. This one has a decent plot, the relationship building is minimal but there. And the love scenes still do adult entertainment but fit with the characters and world. It has found family and trauma bonding along with the female lead actually being a badass. So, the spice is there but a bit too much for me personally. I prefer more action scenes. And all the trauma bonding was a bit much it had enough traumatic reveals for three books.
Because I love Cindi's writing, I was willing to read this as my first werewolf book. The characters drew me in. Kerrigan the veterinarian and Conall the alpha shifter made a great pair. I found myself invested in the story as Kerrigan used her veterinary skills to help members of Conall's pack, and he fell for her as his mate, while trying to figure out what was after his pack. The couple's story reached a wrap up point, but the end of the book did leave kind of a cliffhanger for what happens next with everyone.
Madsen has a unique RomCom writing style I crave and I knew she would nail a PNR RomCom immediately. Connell is the perfect Alpha to Kerrigan’s independent woman. Their connection is felt through the page.
I cannot believe how easily the laughs came inbetween the mystery she wove throughout the book. The combination is flawless. Seriously, if you need a chuckle with an entertaining mystery in the plot, look no further!
This is the first book in the Bridgewater Pack series. Also my first book by Cindi Madden. I quite enjoyed this! I love paranormal stories with werewolves, and this was a fun, different story. Kerrigan finds out about the wolves by accident, at her vet clinic. From that point on she’s curious & interested, and so is Conall, an alpha werewolf. It’s fun, mysterious and spicy, and I look forward to more
I thought this would have been more Rom-Com like but instead it was just a prideful were and a dumb doctor. He literally dumps her and she takes him right back. He literally was going to kill her and she is like it’s cool, I’m into it. Like what?! On top of that all these bad things are happening and they just continue down this path of love while not solving anything. It just wasn’t for me unfortunately.
I couldn't put this book down, I love a werewolf story & this book didn't disappoint!
Conall is the Alpha of the Bridgewater Pack, his path crosses with Kerrigan the new vet in town when he's been shot with silver bullets and can't heal.
She believes she helping a wolf but is blown away when the wolf turns into hot & man with very large 🍆
Good amount of smut & good plot! I'm looking forward to reading more about the Bridgewater pack!
Kerrigan decides to buy a vet clinic after her grandma dies and her life changes a lot! Conall is injured and is brought to Kerrigan's clinic. Kerrigan doesn't realize who or what Conall is until after she fixes him up. These two try to ignore their attraction for each other. Conall is busy trying to figure out who is attacking his pack. Kerrigan helps Conall by treating the injured ones. This book had a lot going on! It was really good!!
Adorably sexy, a funny heroine, grumpy man… it’s not usually my favorite trope but I really did enjoy Connall and Kerrigan. I laughed out loud at some points and definitely kicked my feet and giggled when you knew they were end game. Sasquatch might be my absolute favorite- and I hope we see more of his story! Totally would recommend for a good supernatural read!
Amazing plot and writing. The characters development was also amazing. What happened to her cat? And what about our sweet (sir giant)? Would we gonna get to see his old lover? And WHEN the next book os gonna be published?????
If you love an over protective cocky MMC and a witty lovable FMC werewolf story you'll love this. I've been looking for something exactly like this after reading Ali Hazelwoods bride and It didn't disappoint. I'm so surprised at how much I laughed and loved everything about this book
This is a perfect fit for readers who crave a thrilling and romantic tale of forbidden love, danger, and adventure, with a strong focus on the themes of loyalty, trust, and the power of human connection in the face of supernatural challenges.
J'ai adoré Kerrigan et Conall, ils sont touchants, attachants, intenses et drôles et je n'avais pas du tout vu venir la fin de de tome... 17/20 - https://www.leslecturesdemylene.com/2...
This needed another edit but was a cute cozy read. The last 20% and the ending ruined it for me. I know it’s a series with interconnected stand alones and it setup for the next book but I didn’t like it.
